Chapter 5

"KYAAAA!" Lucy screamed all girly.

"hahaha, that was a cute scream blondie! You heading back already…I didn't even brief you for the mission…."

"SHUT UP! Your blonde too!" Lucy yelled clutching her heart.

"So, before I get to the mission details, I wanted to say good job on the performance last night." He replied as if he hadn't acknowledged Lucy.

"tch. Whatever. Is that all you need? I gotta get home." Said Lucy.

"…thought I'd jog with you back." He stated coldly.

"why don't you just stay? She asked suspiciously.

"I got things to do today and taking a shower is on the top of that list. " He replied harshly.

"tch." They both said at the same time, but immediately looked away from each other with cheeks tinted a light pink. They jogged in an awkward silence until they arrived to Lucy's apartment building.

"See ya back at the guild in an hour blondie." Was the only thing he said to her, but she hadn't minded. She needed the silence to clear her head

She continued up the staircase taking two at a time to further her workout. Unlocking her front door and going to her drawers, She picked out a sexy light blue colored bra and panties with a bluish-grey dress that she had found while shopping for her groceries the day before. After taking a nice, long shower, she finished getting ready. First putting on her stunning dress, then calling out cancer to do her hair and makeup. Which resulted in Loke popping out alongside cancer asking if he could help her with her clothes, after a swift Lucy kick, he disappeared back into the spirit realm. She checked herself one more time in the mirror, prayed to the stars that she would win the karaoke contest and left her apartment, feeling as beautiful as ever.

Master was on top of the staircase about to announce who won, my nerves were getting the better of me and I was stressed out because I needed to get home and pack for the mission. I just wanted to hear the winner of the contest!

"In first place we have…." Mira paused for effect and I swear I could hear the drumroll. She slowly opened the envelope and glanced down at the small piece of paper.

"MASTER?!" and everyone fell on the floor with ghosts coming out of their mouths.

Master went up and claimed his prize and it seemed that I had gotten second and Lisanna and Natsu got third. Gajeel and levy were nowhere on the list, and were arguing about it in their dark corner of the room.

"Should have worn the bunny suit like I insisted, then we would have won!" Gajeel harrumphed and Levy just gave him a murderous glare.

I was about to leave the guild when I spotted the handsome dragon slayer on the second floor with his head propped up on the palm of his hand, leaning on the staircase. He had a casual white t shirt and some black jeans on, looking like the bad boy type and when our eyes connected, he waved me forward. I climbed the stairs and quickly started panicking because I thought I was in trouble but I was also curious, because I had never been on the second floor before. Laxus led me to Masters office, and he walked straight to a drawer behind the desk, rummaging around until he pulled out a paper. I looked at him, then looked at the paper completely spacing out on how toned and sexy his forearms and biceps were, before he made a coughing noise, dragging me back out of la la land. I grabbed the paper and started reading it, it was just a disclosure form, but I wasn't sure why I needed it. As I was just about to look at him questioningly, Master strode into his office and asked if I had any questions about the form.

"Why do I need it?" I asked not seeing why I needed the form.

"To make sure the guild is not liable in cases of death or injury while out on a job request." Master stated matter-of-factly.

"Well, how come I haven't had to sign one before?" I said curiously.

"Because you have not officially and legally went on an S-Class mission before accompanied by an S-Class." He stated as if obvious. He then turned his glare to Laxus and face palmed " Laxus…..you haven't told her that this mission is an S-Class, I should beat you for not briefing her."

"I didn't really find it necessary that she knew it was an S-Class mission. Its just a simple job request." Laxus shrugged.

"Well I know your more than capable of keeping our dear Lucy safe but you should go over the provisions before you decided to string her along." Master berated Laxus.

"Well, I don't know if I'll be much help but I'll still go." Lucy said towards Laxus as she signed the paper and handed it to Master who threw it in a stack of paperwork sitting on his desk.

"Oh and by the way Laxus, here is the hotel room winnings from the karaoke contest I won earlier, I wont use it, but I will use the jewels to buy a new subscription of magazines!" Master said excitedly as he threw Laxus a plastic card and started babbling about babes in swimsuits and his new subscription.

Laxus face palmed and ushered Lucy out of the office who seemed to have not heard the ending of the conversation, as her mind was adrift..

"What time are we meeting up at the train station?" Lucy asked following Laxus down the hall.

"In an hour, make sure you pack for a couple of weeks, the client doesn't know exactly how long this is going to take." He said slyly.

Lucy said bye to everyone in the guild and let her eyes linger over Laxus sitting at his table on the second floor with the Rajinshuu, ogling him until he met her eyes and gave her a smirk. To which she blushed madly and turned to leave the guild, getting ready to pack for the upcoming trip with one sexy dragonslayer. How was she supposed to focus on the mission with him being around, he looks like he was intricately carved from stone. A god, a sexy god…..
