Stephanie had been up since five and travelling since half past six so by the time she got to the arena she just wanted a nice big coffee and a nap but she knew that one of those things she would definitely not get.

Taking the luggage from the limo driver as he got it out of the trunk she balanced all of the bags carefully before she walked back to Mikey who was standing patiently on the sidewalk, "come on Mikey. Take hold of the handle of the suitcase please and let's go in but under no circumstances are you to let go until I tell you to."

Obediently taking hold of the suitcase's handle Mikey walked with his Mom into the arena smiling as he looked around at all of the boxes and people milling around because to him it meant the ring would be set up.

Reaching just outside of her office door Stephanie stopped and turned to Mikey, "you can let go of the suitcase now and go inside and take a seat on the couch please whilst Mommy gets it all inside."

Doing exactly what he was told he let go of the suitcase and ran into his Mom's office but stopped dead when he saw they had a visitor, "Tishy!"

Moving her feet from the top of the desk Trish stood up and walked around it to greet Mikey, "Mikey! I missed you."

Running over to Trish he through his arms around her neck as she knelt on the floor, "miss you too."

Hearing that Trish was waiting for her filled Stephanie with dread, she knew she was there for more than just a cuddle with Mikey. Taking a deep breath she wheeled the suitcases inside, "hi Trish."

Trish smiled up at Stephanie before quickly moving herself and Mikey out of Stephanie's way, "hey. I hope you don't mind me waiting for you, I just needed a quick word with you."

Stephanie worried that that would be what Trish wanted and she knew it wouldn't be good. Putting the bags down in the corner of the room she lay the one with Mikey's toys in down on the floor before she unzipped it, "sounds ominous."

Shrugging her shoulders Trish didn't know how Stephanie would take what she had to say but she needed to know, "it's not that bad, it's just some information that I thought you should know. Mikey can you please just play with your toys a minute whilst your Mom and I talk?"

Leaving Trish alone Mikey silently went over to his toys and pulled a few out to play with whilst his Mom and Trish talked.

As soon as Mikey was occupied with his toys Stephanie turned her full attention to Trish, "what sort of information do I need to know?"

"Hunter went on a date on Friday night."

Stephanie's eyes widened at the news, she would kill him for spreading that about, "he did? How do you know?"

Just as she had predicted Stephanie didn't appear to be taking the news well, "I overheard him talking to the boys about it as they were ribbing him for being happy or something. I don't know who she is and I don't think anyone else does either but I thought it would be best if you heard it from me and not some distorted locker room gossip. I'm sorry Steph, I really did think he was serious about wanting you back."

Nodding her head there wasn't a lot that Stephanie could say as she wasn't going to reveal that she was the person that he had been on a date with because it was only one date and she didn't want Trish all in her business. Deciding to change the subject entirely Stephanie moved it onto Mikey, "if you're not busy later and the ring is free then Mikey would love to play in the ring with you but he is under strict instructions that he isn't allowed to climb the ropes."

Trish had quickly learnt that the changing of subject was Stephanie's way of dealing with difficult topics so she just nodded her head, "I'm sure I will be free at some point and I am sure I can find the time to take him down to the ring if you're busy."

Smiling softly Stephanie was grateful for that, "okay great, thank you Trish. I'd better start on my work though so if you want to stay and play with Mikey then you can and if you have other things to do and have to leave then that's okay too."

"Well if I want to make time to take Mikey down to the ring later then I should go and sort a few things out but I will be back later."

Nodding her head that was Trish's choice, "that's fine. Thank you for everything Trish."

Shrugging her shoulders it was nothing, "it's fine, you had a right to know and I am just happy to help out with Mikey so we're both winners in that."

Walking over to Mikey she pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head, "I'll see you later, be a good boy for your Mommy."

Lifting his head Mikey smiled, "I wills. Bye Tishy."

Waving at them both as she walked out of the room Trish nearly ran right into Hunter as she left the office, "what do you want?"

Frowning when he saw Trish exiting Stephanie's office he wasn't best pleased when he got attitude from her as he thought they were seeing eye to eye now, "to talk to Stephanie? Is this now a crime?"

"It is when you're screwing with her."

His eyes widened and he looked at her like she was crazy, "have you lost your mind? How or why am I screwing with her?"

Glaring at him she shook her head, "don't play dumb with me, I know you were on a date on Friday night and that's just cruel after telling Stephanie you wanted her back."

Rubbing his temples he felt like he had missed out an entire part of the conversation, "what? What the hell have I missed? How is it cruel?"

Resisting the urge to slap him she decided to explain it simply for him, "how is it not cruel to go out on a date with a woman when you are in love with another woman and tell that woman you want her back? You're screwing with your new girlfriend's feelings and Stephanie's. Do you know how hard I went to bat for you to tell Stephanie that you're not as bad as she thinks and to give you a second chance?"

Finally clued in on what Trish was talking about Hunter sighed softly, "you clearly don't know the entire story and I'm definitely not going to be the one to tell it to you so if you will excuse me I have something I need to talk to Stephanie about."

Watching as he walked past her something about the entire situation seemed off but she couldn't quite put a finger on it to know what was going on and what she was missing.
