Chapter 35: The Priestess, Swordswoman, Arrogant Duke, Half-Elf and Determined Dwarf: Part 2 of 2
"I know I'm the new girl in this army, but shouldn't we get a move on?" Ymir complained as Ragian's Army followed Yayoi to her home, the Old Yamato Republic.
"Aw, Ymiy." Neptune laughed cheerfully. "We have time and we need to know what to do next to save this continent from Summerill and his gang of villains and monsters. Slow and steady wins the race... or that's what they say nowadays..." Most of the mature party members except for Dyshana, Vira-Lorr and Vashtor groaned at Neptune's naivety.
Ladius forced a chuckle and reassured Ymir by replying with "Don't worry about her, miss Ymir. She acts like that, a lot."
"I hope so..." Ymir sighed in annoyance. Neptune called her Ymiy. That's not her name!
As the party trudged along the fen's path, they noticed someone fighting some Gamindustri monsters, namely some dogoos.
She is probably a 14 year old girl with brown hair tied in long ponytails, wore orange armguards. She wears an orange outfit with white cloth that covers her breasts and a skirt. She also has short pointy ears and has a pink monkey by her side. And another note, she has a orange bracelet with a ruby embedded on it on her arm.
Reina, Ymir and Jean immdeanity recognized her. "Nowa!" They shouted in shock at the same time.
Ladius, knowing they know this girl, rushed in to help this Nowa girl. He unsheathed his sword and slashed through the dogoos. Renee quickly transformed and used her whip to kill more dogoos. Mai got out some shurikens and threw them at more dogoos, killing them.
Dizzy punched more dogoos and quickly deposes of them.
Soon, all the dogoos were killed. Ladius walked over to Nowa and asked her kindly "Are you alright?"
Nowa couldn't help but blush at how handsome this man who saved her life. But this is her first time meeting him!
"Y-Yes. Thank you for saving me." Nowa bowed lightly in gratitude. "My name is Nowa and this is my partner, Lou. What is your name?"
"Ladius von Busser Ragian. It's a pleasure to meet you, Nowa." Ladius did his family's salute which confused the girl.
"Ladius, did you help that girl?" Ellis asked, walking up to the two. She turned to Nowa and smiled by introducing herself. "Hello there. My name is Ellis. I'm Ladius's foster mother."
"So... Mister Ladius, you're an orphan like me?" Nowa looked down, despondently.
Winfield waltz over to Nowa and reassured her with "No, no. My fine beauty. Ladius wasn't orphaned. He was born from his parents. Leonhardt and Fyuria Ragian. You see... Ladius is half human, and half syrium."
"Syrium? What's that? ...Miss Reina?! Ymir?! Jean?! Is that you guys?!" Nowa gasped happily as she sees her three best friends.
Vira-Lorr chuckled and commented "Ah, youth. Well, we better explain to our new friend about the situation she is in."
It took awhile, but our heroes explained to Nowa on where she is and the bracelet that is stuck in her flesh. Yayoi resumed leading her new friends to her home. Eventually, they made it to the Old Yamato Republic.
"Here we are." Yayoi declared cheerfully as the party entered the village. It was a old Japanese town which remained Renee somehow of her world's history, but Takashi's group noticed it is like in their history books.
"So this is the Old Yamato Republic..." Nowa gasped in awe as she and her friend Lou looked around.
"Wait here. I'm gonna get Ryutai to ask him if you can stay." Yayoi waved cheerfully as she went to get this Ryutai person.
"She seems like a nice kid." Kohta commented with a smile.
"Don't even try to flirt with her." Saya warned.
"Enough, you two." Rei sighed as she face palmed.
It was then, Renee and Ellis noticed the duo they encountered in Grugund. Nodding to each other, they walked up to the two fugitives. "Hello." Ellis greeted.
"Oh..." The brown haired woman said.
"What the hell are you two, one of the locals?" The red haired man asked rudely.
"How rude! We're just travelers and you called us like that?" Ellis placed her hands on her hips with a frown.
"Ellis, calm down. We're just an army traveling to this city. My name is Renee Roberts, this is Ellis. What are your names?" Renee calmed Ellis down first before introducing herself and Ellis.
"My name is Tear Grantis. This is... the person I'm traveling with." The woman now identified as Tear said dryly.
"Hey, what's with the lame introduction?! Surely you can do better than that. Something like the noble aristocrat you see before you is...?" The red haired man growled.
"You don't look like a aristocrat. Aristocrats are noble and always polite." Renee frowned, folding her arms.
"Shut up! My name is Luke fon Fabre. And I have no idea who the hell I am." Luke growled in anger.
"You too...?" Renee asked, feeling a bit sorry for this odd duo.
"Unfortunately, I also have amnesia well... I woke up with this idiot you see before you with a bracelet that wont come off. Luke also has a bracelet..." Tear sighed as she shook her head.
"This bracelet is really ugly. It won't come off no matter how hard I tried..." Luke lamented in boredom as he stared at his bracelet.
It was then Dyshana walked up to them and said calmly "Those bracelets you two are wearing are cursed with Summerill's evil influence. If they are not removed or Summeril is killed, you will slowly turn mad and become the Demon King's slaves forever..."
"!" Tear's eyes widen in shock.
"You serious?!" Luke's eyes widen in fear. he pulled on the trinket of Summerill, but couldn't get it off. "Ugh! Why won't this stupid thing won't come off?!" Luke growled as he tried all his might to get it off, but couldn't.
"Summerill's trinkets have fused with your skin. Taking them off is impossible unless there is another way to remove them or killing Summerill." Dyshana told them.
"Thank you for telling us this, miss..." Tear glared at Dyshana, she has a funny feeling she shouldn't trust this woman.
"Dyshana... a messenger of the gods." Dyshana matched Tear's glare with her own. "In return, you will aid us in our quest to destroy Summerill and restore balance to the universe." She added.
"Luke... I think this Summerill person is responsible for our troubles. So looks like we have no choice but to help these people defeat him in order to remove these trinkets." Tear sighed.
"Fine, whatever... Where is this Summerill guy anyway?" Luke complained.
"We don't know where he is. So he could be on this continent or another." Renee sighed as she looked away, annoyed by Luke's childish attitude.
"Geez, you have no idea where this Summerill guy is? Man, you guys are use-ow!" Ellis punched Luke in his bare stomach, causing the bratty noble to hold his stomach. "You bitch! What was that for?!" He yelled in anger.
"For being rude!" Ellis shouted as she got out her wand and pointed it at Luke.
"Serves you right, Luke..." Tear smirked.
"Shut up!" Luke growled.
It was then, Ladius came up with a girl about 15 years old, wearing some sort of yellow dress shirt, thigh-high socks of stalkings, small shoes, a headband that has a ribbon on it, some sort of dress shirt, a sword with ribbons on it. Oh and she has red hair.
"Ellis, Renee, Dyshana! We need to get this girl some medical attention! I found her collapsed near the entrance. The guards were kind enough to tend to her wounds and I need your healing magic to help her, Ellis." Ladius told his friends.
"I understand." Ellis nodded before pointing to Luke and Tear. "Oh, and this is Tear Grantis and the idiot named Luke fon Fabre." Ladius, Renee, Ellis and Dyshana went to the nearby inn to tend to this mysterious girl's wounds.
"Damn it! I won't forget this!" Luke swore as he ran after them. Tear sighed as she too followed him.
To be continued...

A/N: How was that? Shortest chapter, I know. But I think I captured Luke's personality before he cuts his hair perfectly well. Next chapter will get the plot back on track, see you then. Peace!
