Arriving home from her parents Stephanie had no time to do anything but throw herself back into her work and taking care of Mikey. It wasn't until she had put him to bed that she had time to sit down and spend time alone to think about everything. Walking into her study she sat down at her desk and pulled out paper and a pen to write a new letter to Hunter.

Dear Hunter,

Today we kissed for the very first time since we got back together and it was amazing.

I know most of these letters have been about Mikey and there will be Mikey in this letter later but I just wanted to thank you for being so incredibly sweet and kind and understanding. You haven't brought me any flowers or anything special so I don't have to try to explain it to Mikey which is really sweet, I really appreciate it because where we are right now I don't want to explain things to him incase we don't work out.

Mikey is amazing though, he absolutely loves the time he gets to spend with his Grandparents whilst we are on our dates and he doesn't stop talking about you. Today he has made plans with my Dad that if my Dad can go to the arena next week then the two of them and you are going to play in the ring together apparently.

If things continue to go well between us then I might have to start thinking about telling you the truth about Mikey but first I need to be certain that you are serious about this, me and my son.

Stephanie

Folding the letter up she moved from her seat to grab the key for her desk before she opened the desk and filed the letter at the back of the pile but as she flicked through all of the letters she realised that she was missing one. Getting back up from her seat she walked out of her study and went in search of her laptop bag. When she found her laptop bag she went straight to the front pocket of her laptop bag pulling out the letter that she knew was missing and took it back to put with the rest of the letters.

Locking the letters away in her desk away she replaced the key in a new hiding place before she made her way to bed to get some much needed sleep.

The rest of the week passed quickly for Stephanie as she had a lot of things at work she had to finalise so she had been unable to speak with her parents much so had no idea if her Dad had been given the okay to go to the arena on Monday or not but that would all change today as she was due at her parent's for Sunday lunch.

Arriving at her parent's she used her key to let herself in immediately announcing their presence, "we're here."

She heard her Dad call to say that she was in the lounge so she ushered Mikey towards the lounge, "let's go and see your Grandpa."

Mikey was excited to go and see his Grandpa so he quickly ran ahead of his Mom and into the lounge straight over to Vince, "Poppy! You's come to the 'rena?"

Stephanie rolled her eyes as she walked into the lounge, "Mikey, you should ask him how he is first and not what you are so desperate to know."

Vince chuckled as he ruffled his Grandson's hair, "well I don't mind him asking about the arena Steph, it's always nice to hear that he wants me at the arena. As for your question Mikey, the Doctor said as long as I am not under any stress I am allowed to go to the arena but I can't do any work."

Raising her eyebrow she didn't totally believe her Father, "really?"

Laughing Vince nodded his head, "really. He said I can start doing some more things but it has to be slow and not strenuous but I explained that the arena is only an hour or so away and you were in charge anyway so he said it was fine. Will you pick me up in the morning or do I have to order my own limo?"

Climbing onto the couch next to his Grandpa Mikey smiled widely, "you comes wiv us. Won't he Mommy?"

Nodding her head she smiled softly, "of course he will come with us, someone has to keep an eye on him."

Mikey giggled, "Bubbles and Monkey looks after him."

Vince pretended to be afraid, "oh no, not Bubbles and Monkey. I really will have to be on my best behaviour because I don't want to be in trouble with them."

Stephanie shook her head, "I'm going to see if I can help Grandma with dinner Mikey so sit quietly and look after your Grandpa please."

Vince waved his daughter off and turned his full attention to his Grandson, "so tell me Mikey, what are we going to do tomorrow?"

Walking into the kitchen Stephanie dropped her bag onto the kitchen table, "so what can I do to help?"

Linda smiled over her shoulder at her daughter, "not a whole lot thank you. Why don't you tell me about your dates with Hunter?"

"Or I could complain about Dad encouraging Mikey about tomorrow which is a really stupid idea."

Chuckling she shook her head at her daughter, "you know your Dad, he's just excited to go back to the arena as he has really missed it. You promised to tell me about your dates with Hunter though so please start talking or I'll be upset."

Sighing Stephanie picked up one of the sticks of carrot and bit it off, "there really isn't a whole lot to say about our dates. We have been doing a lot of talking and kind of just getting to know each other all over again as we have both changed a lot. Hunter has been an absolute gentleman and has been thinking a lot about Mikey by not buying flowers so I don't have to explain them to Mikey and when we were on our date this week he knew that I didn't have long so he specifically asked how long I had and then he kept an eye on his watch to make sure I wasn't late."

Linda was a little surprised to hear how gentlemanly Hunter was being, she knew he wanted to be back with Stephanie and she knew he had said he still loved her but words were words and she didn't automatically believe him because she didn't want to see her daughter get hurt again. The more she was hearing the more she realised that he wasn't saying what he thought people wanted to hear, he was saying things that he truly believed and what he would actually do, "well it is always good to hear when my daughter is being treated well. Has he been putting any pressure on you to take the relationship further? What about being involved with Mikey?"

Shaking her head she wasn't sure if her Mom was looking out for him or if she was just looking out for her, "no pressure for anything. I asked him this week how he felt about the speed at which the relationship was going and he said he had no problem and was basically happy with the speed as long as I was happy with it. If I'm honest we've not been talking about Mikey at all and he most certainly hasn't been pushing to be involved with Mikey."

"How do you feel about your relationship with Hunter?"

Shrugging her shoulders she wasn't sure what her Mom wanted her to say, "I think it's going well, I'm definitely falling pretty hard for the new him but I've not told him this. I know this is probably a really stupid idea but I am thinking of telling him about Mikey, not this week or anything but things are going well and I kind of feel like before things go too far between us I should be honest with him."

Stephanie had been so adamant about never telling Hunter about Mikey and now she was genuinely considering it Linda didn't know what to say, "I see."

Frowning Stephanie didn't like it when her parents would say that because it always meant that they were thinking something but didn't want to say what that was, "I know that 'I see' is never really a good comment so how about you tell me what you are really thinking?"

"I'm thinking that you were convinced that you would never tell Hunter about Mikey and now a few weeks into a new relationship with him you are contemplating telling him that Mikey is his son."

Sighing she shook her head, "I am only contemplating it, I never said I would do it any time soon. I was so adamant of never telling him before because he was such an asshole and because he didn't deserve to know but he has been really good with Mikey and he genuinely seems to have changed so why can't I tell him that he has a son? If we are going to work long term then he will need to know that he has a son, I wouldn't be able to keep it from him forever."

Shaking her head that wasn't what she meant, "I didn't mean that you shouldn't ever tell him, I was just trying to understand where you were coming from. I'm not disagreeing that he may have changed but having not really spoken to him myself I couldn't give an accurate opinion on him. You have to do what you think is best for both you and Mikey and you shouldn't let me or anybody else tell you differently but all I ask is to think very hard before you do it."

Nodding her head she had every intention of thinking really hard about it before she did anything drastic, "I promise, I will think extra hard and will make sure it is the right decision before I actually do it. Can we just enjoy the day now please?"

Smiling softly Linda had no problem with that now that she had gotten her point across, "yes we can."

The conversation may have been over between herself and her Mom but it didn't mean that Stephanie was going to stop thinking about what her Mom had said to her.
