Hello, sorry about the delay, but I just haven't been in a writing mood lately...
Not much to say, other than if you like the story, then give a review, and i may get the desire to write back..
I don't own x-men..
Two months slowly went, and before we knew it, it was the beginning of March. The snow had melted, and the Weather was finally good enough to go outside. After being keep inside for so long, you finally realize how important the outside is, especially when training is as important as it is. We had used the last two months trying to relax, but no matter how much we tried, we just couldn't sit still. Kurt climbed up and down the walls, I kept phasing through the doors instead of opening them, and not even Tatiana couldn't relax, as she kept getting These nightmares about war and death. I know she's a seer, so the fact that she was panicking and yelling up about apocalypse didn't make relaxing any easier. Of cause it could just be something she imagined. Tinka had told us these stories about groups of haters that could go as far as burn down houses if they suspected that mutants was Living there. She even told me, that killing wasn't a problem for them either, and the worst was, that they didn't even go to jail if they got spotted, as the government found it alright. It was pretty uncomfortable to know that at any second the house could be gone. Death was once again too close, so as soon as we got a chance to start training again, we would.
As promised, we got our own weapons. Dainan opened this door that was placed under the stairs, and inside that little room, was another staircase, which leaded downwards. He turned on a flashlight that just slightly illuminated the little room, before he asked us to go with him down to the basement. We did as told, and slowly walked down the stairs, careful not to slip. As we got down to a door made of wood, he asked Tinka to hold the flashlight for him, while he picked up the locks. We stood like that for some time, and it wasn't really any fun or anything, as there wasn't much space. The walls were made of concrete, and every little corner was filled with spider web. As far as I could tell, no one had been down there in ages. He picked the last lock, and inside we went. It was a big basement, and there were many different doors, but the room with the weapons was in the far end of the narrow Hall. There were still no sign of a light, except for that one flashlight. I was scared, but I didn't dare to admit it. A loud crack sounded, and I jumped in shock, and accidentally bombed right into Kurt. Instead of getting mad, he just took my hand in his. When we finally reached the door, Tinka once again held the flashlight as her granddad picked an electronic lock. I wanted to ask about all the locks, but I guessed it would be better to wait till we were back at the surface again. My thoughts got interrupted as the big metal door suddenly opened by itself. We slowly went inside, and Dainan finally turned on a hanging lamp. It was an average room in size, the walls was made of something that looked like wood, but I wasn't sure however it really was or not. All three walls were filled up with different weapons, and so were the shelves and tables. In the middle of the room stood a chest, which I thought were filled up with clothes. "So, you may take whatever you need, but nothing more, and keep away from knives that are longer than one meter, poisoned stuff, the big morning star on the left wall, revolvers and spiked clubs." With that he leaved us all alone in a room filled up with weapons. "Don't worry guys; he'll be back in a minute. Now, let's find what we came for, and if anyone finds something interesting that they weren't supposed to have in the first place, then please tell me before touching, some of this stuff could be dangerous." With that we split up and looked around.
In the end I ended up with a stun gun, and a pocket folder blowgun filled with tranquilizer darts.
Kurt got as promised a short sword thingy and metal knuckles.
Tatiana got a bow with arrows dipped in anesthetic, and a small pocket knife.
Tinka found a long metal chain that she started swinging around with as it was nothing, before she decided to keep it. Besides that she found a wooden bat.
All of us got a small bag filled with blinding powder as a standard thing.
Tinka then opened the chest, and as guessed, it was filled with dark clothing. All four of us got to pick an outfit that were wearable and the right size.
I got a long black cardigan liked shirt with a hood, dark brown long sleeved gloves, dark grey tights with black knee pads and black leather boots with buckles.
Kurt got a black leather hoodie that was able to unzip, grey dark military pants, but no boots. Instead he got these black leather sock things.
Tatiana got a dark blue leather dress with short sleeves, long grey gloves, black and grey striped tights and black leather boots with sliver buttons that stooped right under her knees.
Tinka got a short black skirt with lace layers, a dark brown tank top, long sleeved grey gloves, dark grey tights and dark brown leather boots with lace ups…
When Dainan came back, he leaded us top side. Already an hour later we had sneaked out in the backyard to practice with our new weapons. It was still pretty cold outside, but that didn't stop us. Tinka had been setting some great training dummies up, both those who almost worked like a punching bag, making them easy to hit, but also these mechanic dummies that sometimes appeared in the big tree (which was placed in the middle of the lawn) or on the roof. Whenever one of them appeared, I just hurried to shoot it with a stunning arrow (not that there were anything stunning in them yet) and then they would lie down again. The training ended some hours later, as none of the dummies had any heads left, after Kurt had sliced their heads off (and there were at least seven of those..) He was right about the experience with swords, which made me a bit nervous, but also full of respect. He just swung it around as it was nothing, and then threw it at the tree as a throwing knife, right towards Tati, who where training to hit the middle of a dart board with her bow, and then the sword hid the board just perfect. And no, of cause I wasn't jealous; where did you get that idea? He was just a big show of was he!
It was nice and all to live in a beautiful place like this, but I had not come this close to my original goal, just to give up now. I had to find my lost family. I had already talked the others into it a long time ago, but I also had to accept the conditions of the trip, which were about not leaving before we were all fully equipped to fend for ourselves. So with that agreement in place, we just kept practicing.
The summer came before we knew it, and so did Tatiana and Tinka's birthday. Both were now twelve.
We all grew better and better, and soon we were ready to leave for Miami, or so we thought we were…
One terrible night, a bunch of bad guys broke into the normally peaceful house. None of us was really at sleep at that time, as Tati already had warned us about danger, so when they entered, we were hidden inside the room under the stairs. Originally, we wanted to fight those bullies, but as there were too many to handle by ourselves, and the fact that they were some big breads made Dainan worried, and ordered us to hide. We could hear his voice through the door, and then hell broke loose. The sound of punching and shouting was unbearable, and so was the sound of bodies hitting the floor with loud bumps.
That was then I carefully phased my head through the door, and then froze to the sight of men laying knocked out cold on the carpet floor. As I was sure there was a clear path, I quickly phased all the way out, where after the other three headed out of there too, but just as we were all heading for the living room, someone hit me in the back of my head with a bat. I felt to the floor in pain, and Kurt ran to my rescue by punching the guy in the face with his metal knuckles, and the guy felt to the floor just beside me.
Then someone got a hold on Tinka from behind, and when the man in front of her tried to get a grip on her legs, she just kicked him in that private place, where after Tati knocked him out.
The fight continued and ended, with us loosing big time. We were all beaten up, and hadn't it been for Dainan, we probably wouldn't have survived. My back head was bleeding, so was Tati's nose. Kurt was out cold, and just a second before an iron pipe made an end to him, granddad came to the rescue. He was one strong old man; I had to give him credit for that.
After that experience, we knew that we weren't ready yet. We continued the practice, and before we knew it, it was New Years Eve. I was now a year older, and so were Kurt. I was now officially a teenager, and Kurt who was a year older than me was fourteen. Even though he was a half head higher, he still didn't seem that much older than me, and he sure didn't act any older either. Actually he almost acted younger with all the pranks he continued pulling on us, mostly me. One day I would get a water balloon filled with tomato paste in my face, the next I would freak out over a fake spider. Luckily I managed to talk the other girls into making a prank on the prankster, but that totally didn't end up as planned. Yes, he did fall to the floor as planned, but the girl that ended on top of him wasn't. It's a long story how that even happened, but no matter what, I was on top of the boy. It was so awkward, and at that moment I just wished I never had been born, but even though it was embarrassing, I couldn't make myself move, not even a teeny tiny bit. Even though it was awful to lie there with eyes staring at you, I couldn't make myself move from that spot. I was looking him right in the eyes, and before I knew it, we shared a warm and loving hug. The other two girls apparently chose to leave us alone, as they headed for the living room. We were lying on the wet kitchen floor, still sharing a hug, when he suddenly spoke:
"This is nice, isn't it? Just you and me, sharing a nice hug."
"Yes, it is nice, it's more than nice, it's lovely."
"Well, I was thinking about something." He slowly rolled around, making me the one lying on the floor, and him on the top of me. I started giggling, and he just gave me a big goofy smile.
"And what have you been thinking about elf?"
"About our pact, about the brother sister thing."
"What, you don't wanna be my half brother anymore?" I asked a little hurt, but then he slowly stroked my chin.
"No I… I really love you I do, just not that way anymore. I don't wanna be in that zone anymore Kätzchen."
"I see but, what zone do you then wanna be in? The friend zone?"
"No I, I mean yes but, I don't know Keety, I'm so confused. I shouldn't even hold you down like this, it's so wrong! I'm sorry; I have to go get some fresh air."
He then just ported away, leaving nothing but smoke behind. He was so insecure and confused, it was easy to see, but most of all, he looked ashamed. I had no idea of what happened, I was surely as confused as him, if not more. Were we just friends now? Was he gonna tell me something? And why was his tail all wrapped around my belly, he had never done that before. Had I missed some kind of hidden message, and if yes, then what was it? Was I supposed to be angry on him now, and for what? I felt so weird, but yet so satisfied…
What did you think? Leave a review and tell me, i'm listening. Also, any idea's, then tell me those too..
