"But what are we going to do!? We can't just-"

"Tooth we aren't good to anyone dead, right? We need to regroup and get somewhere out of this storm. Jamie's a strong kid, well find him or he might even find us first." Bunnymund was standing atop North's shoulder shielding his eyes from the unforgiving storm they were all in the middle of. He hoped he could believe the words he spoke with as much confidence as they came out as.

Tooth, having managed to find the rest of the guardians after getting separated from Jamie, also hoped for the man's safe return.

"Well then where to? We didn't see anything when we flew into this storm, we might not even be near civilization-" she stopped talking. Her arms wrapped around herself as a means to stay warm and she stared at Sandy who was waving his hands through the air. His golden dream dust making pictures above his head.

At the pictures he was making, Bunnymund perked his ears up, "can't believe I didn't think of that mate, great idea."

"But will you have enough power to make one big enough?" Tooth questioned.

"We have faith, you will." North chimed in and Tooth sighed.

Sandy had explained to them that if Bunnymund could make a tunnel for them, they should be able to escape the cold and also find where Pitch was hiding. Bunnymund jumped down from the shoulder he had been perched upon and disappeared below, in a pile of show that was forming quickly from the storm. Moments later the snow started falling downward into a hole they could see that had started to form. The hole was just big enough to fit North through.

"I'll go on ahead, down the hole, and make sure we make it to an open tunnel and see if I find Pitch or any sign of the boy's." Bunnymund didn't wait for a response before vanishing down the dark hole he had created. Tooth looked up and around, then at North when she felt his strong grip on her shoulder.

"He'll be fine, you'll see. Do not worry yes." Tooth gave a small nod to him and jumped down the hole gliding down with sandy and North on her heels.

"Are you positive on what you saw…" Jack's face showed one of anger. He was still in the cave with Jamie, making sure the human wouldn't die from hypothermia while pitch messed around in the man's head. Jack slammed his staff down on the ground as one of pitch's nightmares bowed its head backing up a bit. "Why would he be here-unless…" Jack rolled his head and swung his staff out at the black nightmare dust horse in anger. It dissipated into a cloud of dust before reforming into its horse shape again. "He's trying to help them-I don't know how but he is."

Jack turned his head to where Jamie was lying. "Bring Pitch out and tell him who you saw. I'm going to go find the guardians before he gets to them." Jack walked past the steed and to the opening of the cave glancing back, "make sure he doesn't forget the human here-or he'll die." His words lingered in the opening as a gust of wind took him out into the blizzard.

His own heartbeat thumped in his ear. He couldn't hear the words the demon was spewing out.

"Awe are you done already? Such a shame, I honestly thought you'd last longer." Jamie was on the ground staring up at Pitch who was leaning over him.

"Hello? Did I break you?" Pitch leaned down grabbing Jamie's neck, as the man finally blinked a few times and growled the words 'don't touch me' again, hitting Pitch's arm.

Pitch let out a booming laugh that echoed thought Jamie's head. "I guess that answers my question." Pitch mused.

He had mentally tortured Jamie for what must have seemed like hours to the man, but was merely minutes in reality. The dream demon wasn't phased by the man's struggle as he picked him all the way up off his feet and threw him back.

Jamie hit the ground sliding a bit with a grunt at the impact. He was breathing heavily and made no attempt to try and stand.

"So then, have you finally given up on the idea of saving Jack?" When Jamie said nothing, Pitch only smirked at the silence. As he started strolling towards Jamie, the man pressed his forehead to the ground and tightened his eyes shut. Please wake up, please. Wakeup, wakeup WAKE UP. Jamie screamed to his subconscious.

Pitch reached down once again for the cowering human but stopped and turned his head slowly to look behind himself. "You know I don't like to be interpreted-" Pitch straightened his back so he was now standing straight and turned his body to the nightmare that had just entered Jamie's dream to deliver him a message.

It had become so quiet that Jamie opened his eyes and turned his head just to see a pair of gold piercing eyes glaring at him, only inches from his face. "Yes, please do wake up." Jamie turned on his side to get some distance from him, but Pitch had thrown his arm out, puntching Jamie in the gut, causing him to wheeze and curl into a slight ball.

Back in the cave, Jamie's body moved violently before his eyes shot open and he was yelling out in pain. He grabbed his abdomen rocking a bit back and forth. "Oh fuck-" He breathed out.

"Please. I barely touched you that time." Pitch's voice came circling around the small hole of a cave, as his dream dust brought him in to stand in front of Jamie, who had now began to shive from the cold he had been left in.

Though the fire Jack had left him in front of did help, it still hadn't been enough to chase the chilling cold away.

Pitch scoffed at the human and grabbed his bicep dragging him to a standing position. Jamie hardly put up any fight as the demon said nothing and let the black swirling dust engulf them both leaving nothing in the cave put dying embers.

"Well we might not be in his...ah home? Would you call that underground mess his home?" Tooth glanced down the, what looked like a never ending tunnel, with question in her voice. Sandy only shrugged as North dusted himself off a bit and Bunnymund closed his tunnel hole they had used to get into the underground passage. North looked in one direction than the other, and his shoulders hunched a bit. "What way now?"

"Look mate, I'm a rabbit not a bloodhound-"

"I am awhere what animal you are-are you saying I am stupid-I simply asked a question." North's voice rose a bit.

"Nah-I was simply informing you that you should think of some way to find him, as I just got us out of the cold, mate-" Bunnymund snicked.

"Ah-guys please-" Tooth's voice was quieted by North, "Oh you think I do nothing, I will show you nothing!" North stepped forwards stomping his foot down hard on the ground as Bunnymund bounced back, putting his small paws up in a fighting position.

"GUYS" Tooth bellowed placing one hand on North's chest and the other pointing down the corridor towards a hooded figure sauntering towards the small group.

"You can both finish whatever that was later-right now we have bigger things to worry about-" Tooth whispered as the figure drew nearer and the group got into defensive positions.

"You have nothing to fear from me, I've come to assist you, in the only way I'm able to." A small quiet voice came from the hooded figure as it stopped a few feet from the Guardians.

Sandy clasped his hands together, grinning from ear to ear. The hooded figure extended its arm towards Bunnymund who in the blink of an eye transformed back to his larger than life self.

Bunnymund crossed his arms and tapped his foot with a smirk spread across his face.

"Father Time, it's been awhile mate." He mused in a happy voice, glad to be back to normal.

"This must be serious if you are here then yes?" North walked to the hooded figure, drawing him into a bear hug, which Father Time nodded slowly patting North on the back. "It is always a pleasure to see you four, though I'm afraid in this case, we don't have much time…" A small chuckle came from the hooded figure at his own joke.

Tooth smiled and shook her head, he had always been one to lighten the mood.

"With me here, though I am unable to physically help in any fight, I have taken you all out of the 'time pocket' of your normal reality, allowing you to be at full strength, so you can fight Pitch Black. Once he catches on though, it won't be safe for me, so you will have to move quickly. You should have just enough time," He paused with a chuckle, "to weaken him and get back Jack Frost. Once in your hands, we need to get Jack Frost back to his true guardian form. Pitch Black has tainted him with darkness."

Tooth covered her mouth with a small gasp, "Oh Jack no-" She looked to North, as their leader, worry pouring out of her. The old jolly man nodded, sadness in his eyes. "We thank you old friend, we shall not waste this gift and we will get our Jack Frost back."

A gust of wind filled the small tunnel space, sending Father time to hide within the small pocket between time and space, where he could easily hide from the naked eye. The others shielded their eyes from the harsh wind.

"Will you now? I don't see how. This Jack Frost likes who he's become." Jack's chilling voice echoed down the walkway, his body stood a few yards ahead from the group, lending against his staff. A beaming smile on his face. Though his smile was welcoming, his shimmering gold eyes were not.
