Fast Update! :) First of all, if you're a big Kurtty fan, then i'll advise you to read my other story 'Let's play hiding' it's very different from this story, but still a good read if you love this paring as much as i do :D
To EternalDreamer: As you may know if you have read my answer in the reviews, you have my permission to make the characters, even the OC's as you please, as long as you make them 'in character' and don't do something crazy like making Kitty's hair green or something...
Now, i'll thank every single one of you for still reading, and thank you for following this story. I know it might be a bit confusing from time to time, but if anything make's you confused, or if you're just filled with questions, then please tell me, and i'll try to make a clear answer...
I don't own x-men
Someone, or something was lying on top of me, I knew that, because I could fill the extra weight pull me further down the cheap madness. I slowly opened my burning eyes, and got startled by two big glowing eyes. It was Kurt who sat on top of me. My reaction? I threw him out of the bed, making him fall to the floor. I heard a minor moan followed by a "What the heck Keety!" I then looked down to make my reply, when I saw he was rubbing his head in agony. "Well sorry, but it was you who lay on top of me!" He then gave a sharp glance at me, followed by a hush. "I was only trying to get out of bed since you blocked the only way down! Now, do you still have that stun gun? Or maybe the blow gun thingy?" He then looked at the door in a (don't answer to loudly) kinda way. "Well yes I do, its right there, inside my backpack" I pointed my finger at the bag, and then he quietly made his way to it, and started searching. "And exactly why do you need it?" I then looked at the little clock on the wall that said 08:00am.
"I think our little friend is right outside the door, I heard someone talking. Now where is that stupid thing? Keety! Some help please!" I then made my way down the bed to help my confused friend out. I would celebrate the fact, that this had been one of our longest conversations lately, but I was too stressed for that. I pushed him to the side, and then opened a whole different pocket than the one he was looking through, which was the room filled with food, mostly canned food, but still food. While I got the stun gun, Kurt was busy eavesdropping at the door. As I finally found it, Kurt hurriedly stood up, telling me to hide.
We went inside the only possible hiding place; the closet. It wasn't too big, so we had to stand incredibly close to each other. It was awkward, but then again, what wasn't? The door burst open, and in came our little persecutor, or one of them. The only one stocked inside the same train as us at least. I tried to figure out a way out, in case we had to escape, but mostly I hoped he wouldn't find us. I thought about just phasing through the back wall, or maybe ask Kurt to port us somewhere safe, but then I would have to leave our backpack behind, and then he would find it, and then we wouldn't have a chance, which I knew from experience, so that idea was gone as soon as it came.
The thing mine and Kurt's abilities had in common was the fact that they were as made for stealth. Stay hidden was in fact our strong point, and was a pretty damn lifesaver, since our life's was all about concealing ourselves, at least it had been for the last couple of years. To be honest, I really missed the good old days, where the only thing you had to think about, was making your audience happy. Maybe staying in Italy wouldn't have been all that bad. Of cause I would be married to a man in his late 30s, and maybe I would be a mom by now, but then again, maybe that Henrik guy wouldn't end up so mad if I just did as he wanted. But then Kurt would still be trapped and drugged, and that madman might make experiments on both of us, and if we hadn't escaped together, then I wouldn't have met my best friend… So yeah, it all had been having its ups and downs, but at least we would soon be finished running away…
I made a minor prayer inside my head as he skimmed the room, and my heart almost skipped a beat when I looked out from the small holes in the closet door. He was looking through the bag! What should I do?! I couldn't just phase through the door and sneak attack him with the stun gun. Or could I?
I was just about to do it when a loud rumble filled the quiet little room. I stared evilly at Kurt, who just gave me an apologetic glance. The man then stopped rummaging through the bag, and headed our way. It wasn't a long way, so I didn't get any time at all to come up with a plan, so when he opened the door, I simply stretched my hand, closed my eyes shot, and hoped that the gun would hit him. It did. The poor man was shacking violently, and then felt to the ground.
"Is-is he dead? Did you just kill a man?" Kurt asked, a little more shocked than scared, and I couldn't blame him, since I too thought it was gonna be game over. I let my hand to his throat, trying to get his pulse.
"Naah, he's still alive. But what are we gonna do with him?" Then both of us jumped up in the air of pure fright, as his earpiece suddenly activated. We slowly picked it up to hear who it was…
"Hello 101, can you hear me? It's General Stryker speaking. Have you found the kids yet?
… Hello?"
We stood as frozen. Was we supped to say something? Would he know it was us if we did? On the other hand, if we didn't, then he might think something was wrong and send backup. Without further thinking, Kurt took it out of my hand and answered in a deep voice. "No sir, they aren't here anymore. I think I saw then jump of some minutes ago though. I think I'll jump of and try and see if I can get to them."
"Fine, just don't let them get away! I'll send someone to help you search. By the way, what's wrong with your voice?"
"Uhm, nothing, I'm just having a minor cold *cough* but I'll be fine. And remember, they aren't on the train. Over and out."
"Wauw, I didn't know your voice could sound like that, it's really impressive." I said, trying to lighten the mood.
"No time for joking Keety, we have to get him out of the train as fast as possible!"
We then opened the door, took one sleeve each and dragged him out, hoping no one would see us. But before we dragged him out, we made the classic: peek around the corner thing, to be sure that no one was watching. When the coast was all clear, we dragged him out to the right wall, where I phased half through with Kurt holding my hips so I wouldn't fall out, as the extra weight from the big guy made it harder to stand ground. The train was fast, so no matter what, I knew he would get at least a bit hurt, but since that weren't my problem, I just let go of him and headed back inside.
"Do you think he'll tell them about us? Or do you really think we're save?" Kurt asked.
"I don't know, but since he just felt of a train, I'll guess they will just think he hit his head hard." At least I hoped so.
"So, what do you say we go back inside and get's something to eat? Since my stomach almost got us into troubles again, it would only be fair to make it quiet down, wouldn't it?" He asked with a smile, and I could only agree. All this adrenaline had only made me even hungrier than I already were.
Remember, i am open for constructive criticism, since I still aren't perfect with grammar and so on...
