Jennifer smiled at Mikey as the phone rang, "remember, you have to be quiet when I'm on the phone okay?"

Nodding his head Mikey zipped his lips and kept silent as she answered the phone and held a conversation with the person on the other end. As soon as she had put the phone down he turned to look at her, "I firsty."

Smiling softly she helped him down from her lap, "let's go and get you some water then okay?"

Taking her hand he allowed her to lead him to go and get some water.

As soon as she had some water for the little boy Jennifer took him back to her desk, "so where would you like to sit?"

"Cuddle please?"

Smiling she picked him up and sat him on her lap, "there you go. I have to do some work a minute though so just sit quietly with this pen and paper please please."

Mikey took the pen and started to draw on the paper quietly waiting for his Mom to finish her meeting again.

Hunter had Stephanie's lunch and made his way to the offices to drop it off and hopefully not to get himself in too much trouble with her. As he entered the offices he slipped past the receptionist without being seen as she was otherwise occupied and slipped into the elevator as the person walked off and hit the button for her floor.

Jennifer was just saving the work she had done when the elevator pinged and she lifted her gaze to look who was coming in the hopes that it wasn't Stephanie's next meeting and they weren't early as she was hoping to get some information on what to get Mikey for lunch. Watching as the person stepped off the elevator she was shocked when she saw Hunter but the question was, why was he here?

Mikey looked up from his piece of paper and squealed when he saw Hunter having no idea what he was doing here but so excited to see him. Pushing himself off Jennifer's lap he quickly ran over to him and wrapped his arms around him, "Hunner!"

Hunter was surprised that Mikey was there because Stephanie had told him that somebody would be watching him for the day so when he wrapped his arms around him he just hugged him back, "hey there."

Mikey eventually pulled away and grabbed Hunter's hand and pulled him over to where he had been sat, "Jenn! Look Hunner."

Jennifer stood up feeling a little protective over Mikey, "yeah I see Hunter. What are you doing here Hunter?"

Gulping Hunter was feeling a little nervous, "I came to drop something off for Stephanie."

Raising her eyebrow she was suspicious of him, "you have? Something like what?"

Placing the bag on the desk he wasn't about to openly admit in front of Mikey that he had brought her lunch, "just a little something."

Suspicious of what he had brought she looked into the bag and saw food and a drink, "okay I'm confused."

Sighing he shook his head, "I can't and won't explain it, just give it to her for me please?"

Nodding her head she had no problem doing that, it wasn't her place to question him or Stephanie about what was going on in their personal life but it was her job to pass messages etcetera on, "not a problem. As soon as her meeting ends I will give this to her and tell her that you dropped it off."

Smiling softly that was all he could ask for, "thank you. I will get going and let you get back to your work."

Just as he went to walk away Mikey gripped his hand with both of his little hands, "stay!"

Biting down on his lip he was worried about what would happen if he stayed, "aren't you supposed to be being looked after by someone else?"

Jennifer could see that Hunter was in conflict and wanted to help, "his babysitter had a family emergency so as there is nobody else that can watch him today so he is here. If you have the time and you want to stick around then be my guest as long as it won't cause any problems with his Mom."

Mikey quickly shook his head, "Mommy kay wiv me and Hunner be fwends."

Knowing he didn't have anything else better to do with his day today Hunter decided to stick around and to keep Mikey company, "I can stay if that is what you want Mikey?"

Nodding his head the little boy was happy knowing that he was going to have fun, "yays. You dwaw pictures?"

Patting his pockets to see if he had a pen he frowned when he realised he didn't have one, "I don't have a pen and I certainly don't have any paper I am afraid."

Mikey turned to Jennifer, "Jenn! Cans we has paper p'ease?"

Smiling at the little boy she got some spare paper and got a pen and handed them to Mikey, "there you go. You've got to be quiet though because other people are working around here."

Taking Hunter's hand Mikey led him over to sit in a chair across the way from Jennifer's seat, "we dwaw pictures?"

Sitting down Hunter patted the seat beside him, "so what would you like me to draw for you?"

Climbing onto the seat Mikey thought deeply about what he wanted, "you dwawed monkeys and I colour yes?"

Raising his eyebrow he had done it before, "you mean now or before?"

"'Fore. Cans I has a dwagon ands a dog and aminals da same p'ease?"

Laughing softly at the request Hunter nodded his head, "I sure can. I'll draw as many animals as I can before your Mom finishes her meeting to see what your Mom would like me to do okay?"

Nodding his head Mikey cuddled into Hunter's side, "fank you Hunner."

Wrapped his arm around the little boy's shoulder he smiled down at him, "it's my pleasure Mikey."

Jennifer looked over at Hunter and Mikey and frowned, clearly the two of them had a very deep and meaningful relationship and that worried her a little, exactly what had Stephanie gotten herself in to and what was going on with Hunter and Mikey?
