Chapter seventeen: Halfblood Hill here we come

Sally Jackson was shocked. Not just shocked but shocked with a healthy dose of respect. In front of her were easily some of the most powerful children and descendants of the Olympians. "So, Harry you have already saved your country and now you're here to save America?"

Harry grinned darkly "Call it an inheritance if you wish." Katie scowled at the bleak joke and cracked her hand across the upside of his head.

"Behave." She growled and Harry nodded and held her close. Katie turned to Sally and quickly apologised for the bad jokes. "We actually came here for a fresh start and it just happens that things are going to go pear shaped."

Harry nodded "However wherever we go things always inevitably go pear shaped. Speaking of which where is Percy? I mean I saw him as we left the UK." Just then the shadows bulged and Nico followed by Percy stumbled out.

"Where were you two? Do you know how worried I was?" Asked Sally quietly, Percy gulped at the low voice and Nico followed in example. Sally rarely ever lost her temper with Percy or Nico because of their heritage but when she did it was because they had truly done something to deserve it.

"I'm really sorry mom but we got lost shadow travelling and ended up in Texas." Percy explained and Nico demonstrated by running into the shadow in the hallway and walking out of Paul's.

Sally nodded "Understood, I can't really complain because you guys don't use Cell Phones...You could have still Iris messaged me." She scolded just then the phone rang and Paul answered it.

"Paul Blowfis speaking, who is this?" Paul asked, his eyes widened.

"Okay, I'll pass the message on. Thanks have a nice day." He replied before hanging up.

"Percy, Chiron was asking after you. Something about a recruiting mission and that he needs you back at Camp to prepare for something big." Paul explained and he got several different reactions.

Percy gulped, Nico paled, Katie grimly nodded and Harry cracked his fingers "Time to earn our keep." He murmured and the shadows fluttered around him as he rose to his feet followed by Katie and the other two demi-gods.

"Good luck you four, go with Olympus." Sirius whispered then pulled Harry and Katie into a hug, which they returned.

"Our immortal Grandfather is in for a serious case of ass whipping...Oh and Katie and I are gonna need the bike." Harry said grinning. Sirius nodded and tossed Harry the keys.

"Happy birthday, this is now yours. Would have wrapped it up for you but you're gonna need it. Chiron contacted us, not sure how but he did. Anyways Moony has packed your bags and here are the helmets and off you two go. Time to save the world and other extremities." He finished with a grin.

Harry grinned, Katie gulped and together rushed down the stairs, placing their helmets on, jumped on the bike and Harry gunned the engine. Percy, Nico and Sally followed and soon enough bike and car were whistling out of New York and towards Long Island.

Chiron was waiting at the archway when Percy and Nico arrived "Chiron, you called and we came as fast as we could." Percy said panting slightly.

"Percy, Mr. Di Angelo welcome back as always. Any how in regards to this mission of recruitment you see it is two people. One happens to be a demigod of two Olympians and a legacy of Hectate and the other is a dual legacy of Demeter and Poseidon." Explained Chiron.

Percy grinned "Can we open the gate please...The very front gate." Chiron nodded and flicked his hand soon enough a faint rumbling was heard which turned into a roar as a motorcycle came blazing up the hill with several hellhounds after them.

Suddenly the bike slid barricading the gate and two interlocking shields appeared, then a quick sword thrust later the hellhounds were gone. The taller of the two stangers waved his hand over the bike and it morphed into a smaller size, the pair grabbed their bags and sprinted over the boundary line.

" Names Harry Potter, that's the astonishing Katie Bell, I'm the son of Poseidon and Hades, legacy of Hectate and she is the legacy of Poseidon and Demeter. We happen to be Percy's next door neighbours. You needed reinforcements?"
