Kyoya was working in the office of his and Tamaki's mansion.

Haruhi walked in.

"What are you doing in here? Tamaki's looking for you to tuck you in." Kyoya told her.

"I don't want to go to sleep; I have the same nightmare every night." Haruhi confessed.

Kyoya had to admit mentally that he hated getting out of bed to comfort Haruhi at night.

"You need your sleep." Kyoya grumbled while trying to focus on his work.

"What are doing?" Haruhi asked him.

"Work." He told her.

She headed towards him and asked, "Can I see it?"

"Do you plan on working for Ootori Medical one day?" Kyoya inquired.

"No. I want to be a lawyer like my mom was." She answered, casually.

Kyoya found himself irritated once he had heard her answer.

His anger fell away to surprise when Haruhi crawled on to his lap.

She stared at the reports, and then told him, "Tell me about it."

He started to talk about his job, and surprisingly Haruhi seemed to understand it, big words and all.

She fell asleep on Kyoya's lap after a long time of listening to him.

He carried her to her disgustingly pink room.

She refused to let go of him, so he was forced to lay down beside her.

He fell asleep right there within a matter of minutes.

The next morning, Kyoya awoke to a quiet, feminine voice asking him, "Mommy, wake up. Is it alright if I call you that? Mommy?"

"Yeah." He muttered, sitting up; Haruhi slid off of his chest at the sudden movement.
