The prisoner

Chapter twenty four: "All I see are trees."

It had been satisfactory night of terror for Harry. He hadn't truly realised just how dangerous his Rider gifts were on the denizens of terror in Greco-roman stories. Hellhounds disentigrated, Dracanae fled and many others froze in their tracks making perfect target practise.

The sun had just broken, casting the quiet city into a golden glow. Harry staggered into the hotel and with pinpoint precision that the twins of archery could be prowd launched himself onto the abandoned sofa and fell asleep. His dreams were more prophetic that any of the other demigods, save for Apollo's.

His dream showed a river, himself, Percy, Thalia and a figure clad in golden armour that shone like the sun. Sweat covering his brow he woke up sharply to find Katie, coming over to him carrying a cold kebab box and a pizza box.

Michael a son of Hermes moved to intercept the food but found a chain wrapped around his waist and he was flung to the side. Harry got up and stumbled blearily over to Katie, kissed her on the forehead, hugged her and took the food.

In front of everyone, Harry downed the kebab in six wolfish bites and five pizza slices. "Hungry, regardless of being an indestructable night fighting skeleton, I still require food."

Soon enough the days agenda was given, several dozens Satyrs, Dryads and Nymphs were going to reinforce Central Park with the three available big three children. Everyone looked at Harry, who ever since the war started looked like he was going to drop dead from exhaustion, due to being forced to fight all day and night. "Get me some caffiene pills and I'll be ready."

Now fifteen minutes later, five children of Apollo, Hermes and Hephaestus along with a twitchy Percy, nervous Thalia and a bouncing Harry who was fuelled in caffiene pills stood ready and waiting. They soon heard the army before they heard it. It sounded in Harry's opinion a riot but the rioteers were all armed with Bazooka's and Rocket Launchers.

Soon enough the army appeared and onto the few defenders they fell, like an avalanche onto the small trees in their way. Harry pulled out his twin swords and with a mumured spell they erupted into flames and he charged into the oncoming horde.

Harry was truly gifted in the art of swordplay and death. He appeared in front of his group of targets like a sudden storm, leaving only dust, powder, broken, dead and dying demigods in his wake. He spun his twin swords in a way a conductor would an orchestra, majestically. Both sides good only stare as the Prince of Storms and Death sung his deadly transfixing dance among the enemy.

That wasn't to say the other demigods weren't doing their bit. Suddenly Harry stopped and then he was forcibly thrown into the air and back towards his camp, when he crashed and rolled along the surface of the lake and sank like a stone.

"Hyperion, Titan of the East and Sun. The most powerful aside from the Titan King." Stated Annabeth.

"Bad news basically." Said Percy, Annabeth nodded and Percy was off like bullet from a gun charging across the water and crashed into the 6'11, Titan of the Sun.

Deep in the lake, Harry groaned as he opened his mouth and forced water into his body and lungs, the reason for this was water healed his injuries from cuts to broken bones although the latter took more time. Concentrating on the healing spells along with several prayers to Apollo, Harry began to glow a dark blue and forest green as his leg stitched itself back together and his cracked spine healed.

Harry crouched on the bottom of the lake, transformed into his Ghost Rider form and delved into his powers as a child of Poseidon. On top of the water directly above him, Percy and Hyperion stopped their swords generating sparks as they clashed and shrieked against one another. "You Titans are about as bright as my Gym Socks." Percy mocked.

"BRIGHT! I'LL GIVE YOU BRIGHT!" Bellowed the Sun Titan as he effortlessly battered Percy away. Suddenly water began to swirl around the Titans feet as Harry floated to the surface, as the Ghost Rider.

"Hey, Hydrogen brains...Lets give you a proper shiner." Harry mocked before slamming his skull into the Titans unprotected face. Result...Titan skulls are solid, but it worked, Hyperion staggered backwards clutching his eye as Harry collapsed holding his forehead.

"Son of a bitch." The pair said as one before they clashed. Percy by now had charged into the fray and the two brothers had started to gang up on the Titan.

"QUIT! DOUSING! ME!" Roared Hyperion getting progressively louder withe each word. Hrry smirked as he intensified the storm as did Percy.

According to Grover the boys had encased the Titan in a swirling storm, the sheer energy required must be tremendous but from what Grover and Thalia could detect, it was mainly Harry's storm. "Bring him over this way!" Called Grover.

Percy grabbed both storms and made a backhanding gesture and the titan was caterpaulted away. "CHAINS OF THE UNDERWORLD!" Shouted Harry and several dozen obsidyian black chains erupted from the ground restraining the Titan.

Then the Satyrs began to play. The effects were amazing, the Titans feet had quickly became encased in roots, the transformation sped up as Dryads and more Satyrs took up the tune. "YOU! CANNOT! DO! THIS! TO! ME! I! AM! HYPERION! I! AM...!" The Titan couldn't finish as he had become a maple tree standing next to his resplendant cousins.

"A very pretty Maple Tree." Grover and Harry said together before their eyes rolled into their heads and they passed out.
