Kyoya answered the door once he had heard the doorbell.
Haruhi's good friends, Hikaru and Kaoru, stood outside.
"Can we hang out with Haruhi today?" They asked in unison.
"She's with Renge right now." Kyoya explained as he led the twins towards Haruhi's room.
"Renge, how exactly are we supposed to do that again?" Haruhi inquired in her exasperation.
"Do what?" Haruhi's newest guests wondered.
"Hikaru, Kaoru! Did you have to do that?" Haruhi practically shouted her question.
"What are you-" Hikaru began.
"Planning?" Kaoru finished his brother's question.
"Nothing." Haruhi mumbled in an attempt to stop the twins from asking about it anymore.
"It's not that Haruhi has a crush on her mother at all!" Renge exclaimed quickly in a tone of voice that hurt Kyoya's ears.
"Ooh... Our little Haruhi is madly in love with the emotionless Kyoya Ootori. Tell us more, Renge." The twins pleaded.
Kyoya, himself, did in fact have emotions, but he tried to hide them most of the time.
"Renge!" Haruhi reprimanded her friend with an angry shout.
"Is everything alright in here?" Kyoya asked, trying to end the current conversation.
"Speak of the devil." The Hitachiin Twins laughed at what they had just said.
"Why did you let the twins in here?" Haruhi asked Kyoya, making him want to kick the twins out.
"I figured that you would like to see them." Kyoya confessed to Haruhi.
"Aw... How sweet!" Renge squealed.
"He's my mom!" Haruhi tried to reason with Renge.
"Is not." Hikaru and Kaoru argued with Haruhi.
"He is too!" Haruhi shouted back at her twin annoyances.
"Did he carry you for nine months? No, 'cause he's a guy!" The twins reasoned in their argument.
"He's my adopted mom!" Haruhi screamed.
"He can't be your adopted 'mom,' he isn't even female!" The two boys argued back.
Nobody noticed that Kyoya had heard the whole argument.
They also didn't know that he feigned ignorance over everything.
It was just easier on everyone involved if he pretended that his 'daughter' hadn't at some point of growing in to a young lady fell for him.
He did not know how anyone could fall for him, let alone his wonderful boyfriend.
He was blessed to have such an amazing, supportive, and beautiful family.
At times like this, he was often surprised with how well his life had turned out, and how lucky he actually was.
Then again, his family wasn't what you would call normal.
There were two guys taking care of a little girl, well maybe not so little now.
The two men were in love, and their 'little' girl was in love with one of them.
She was in love with her 'mommy' figure.
Life was a mess, Kyoya decided as he walked away from the bedroom door.
