Kyoya was horrified to find Haruhi wrapped up in Hikaru's arms when he had went to check on them the next morning.
Breakfast was akward that very morning.
"Why would you do that? You're grounded, and the Hitachiins can never come over again!" Screeched Tamaki.
"Isn't that a little harsh?" Renge piped up with a silly question.
"No. It isn't." Kyoya half-roared, "She disobeyed what we taught her."
Renge squawked, "It was just one night! Please forgive Haruhi!"
"What I did was stupid." Haruhi grumbled.
"That's right!" Kyoya snapped, "I thought we raised you better!"
Haruhi squealed in fear, and hid behind Renge.
"Shh. You should calm down." Tamaki murmured in to Kyoya's ear before dragging him away by the hand.
"Kyoya, calm down. You rarely snap; you usually leave the snapping to me." Tamaki soothed him with a smile present on his face.
Kyoya took deep, calming breaths; he needed to calm down.
Kyoya felt the first prickle of guilt at that moment; he had mostly reacted out of jealousy.
Tamaki's arms wrapped around him, and Kyoya forced his body to relax in Tamaki's familiar embrace.
Kyoya entered Haruhi's room; his fingers trailed slowly through her hair as to comfort her, and further calm himself down.
"Mommy, I'm sorry." Haruhi apologized to him.
"You don't have to apologise to me." Kyoya tried to convey his sincere apology through his words.
"I know." She whispered to him.
"I love you. I'm so sorry about earlier, Haruhi." Kyoya confessed to her.
What she had done had been wrong, but Kyoya had also been wrong by over reacting to it.
"Don't worry about it. You're my mother; you are allowed to react that way." Haruhi told her adoptive mother.
It seemed that Kyoya and Tamaki may have raised her too well.
