The tension that was going on at Haruhi's school was also occuring at the teenage girl's home.
She hadn't spoken a word to either of her parents for quite some time now.
That concerned her mother and father quite a bit.
Kyoya opened the door to see Renge on the other side.
"Mr. Ootori?" Renge had managed to sound both serious and polite with that simple question.
"Yes, Renge?" Kyoya asked her cautiously; he hadn't forgotten her role of 'matchmaker' that she had had not too long ago.
"Would you go out with my best friend?" She asked him, rather bluntly.
"That was pretty straight forward, Renge." He hoped to distract her, so that this particular topic of discussion would go away forever.
"Please, it's for her own sake. She's madly in love with you." Renge begged him.
"What would the town say?" Kyoya had always considered his family's name before acting; he hoped that Renge did too.
"It doesn't matter as long as you love her!" Renge's voice easily rose up several volumes.
"How would my 'husband' react?" Kyoya asked the young girl to help her realize that Haruhi and Kyoya could not be together no matter what.
"I don't know!" Renge admitted to her friend's adoptive, male mother.
"How would that affect my family?" Kyoya couldn't see anything, but chaos happening if he took Renge's advice.
"Your daughter will be happier!" Renge exclaimed; this surprised Kyoya, but he did want Haruhi to be as happy as she could possibly be.
He wanted the best for her.
"Is it wrong that I'll be happier?" Kyoya couldn't resist the urge to ask.
"No. I don't see anything wrong with it." Renge was sincere that much Kyoya could tell.
