Henry is NOT a Charming, he is a Mills! And let's say that Zelena got a doctorate and got a license and all the stuff that you need to be a doctor…
Regina couldn't remember the last time she was nervous like she was then. She looked around the room, The Charmings, Henry, Rumple, Belle, Granny, Ruby, Archie, Roland, Little John, her sister, her daughter and Robin, they all came to say goodbye, and that was when Regina wished the most that she didn't have to leave.
"So…" Zelena said, hoping to break the awkward silence that was falling over them.
"Mommy, look at all these people. They came to say goodbye to us, didn't you?" Lily asked innocently, while she went closer to Robin and put her arms up to signal that she wanted to be picked up, she liked Robin, Robin was nice to her, he'd play with her, he'd make her toys and so many other things. Robin smiled as he saw her lifting her little hands and he picked her up and let her rest on his hip.
"Of course we did." Robin answered her, still smiling.
The saying goodbye thing, took a lot longer than Regina wanted, but after some time, they were all gone leaving Zelena, Lily and her alone.
"Why do you know so many people?" Zelena whined once they were alone.
"Wh-? I know many people? You get flowers and what not every day from 10 different persons!"
"That's because I am a doctor! That's basically in my job description, people thanking me for delivering their babies, sending me stuff when it's their baby's birthday and… I don't really know them, now, do I? And, plus, all of these people are supposed to hate you."
"But they are not."
Zelena rolled her eyes once she was sure Regina couldn't see her. "oh, look at me, I was the evil queen, but everyone loves me…" Zelena mumbled under her breath as she left the room.
"What the…?" Regina said as the car in front of her stopped. Zelena exited from her car and waited for Regina to do it as well.
"Why did you stop?" Regina asked her once she exited the car.
"Because you're staying here."
"What? No, I am not, Lily can't con…"
"She can control her magic just fine. I kind of tutored her."
"You did what? How could you? Why didn't you tell me?" Regina asked as her rage began to build up inside of her.
"Because I thought you were going to overreact, and I was right. How could I? Because you didn't want to accept her magic, you are so afraid of it that you wanted to take her away from it all, you want her to grow up and not know who she really is, not know the power she was born with! It's her birth right, Regina! You can't take the magic away from her, I won't let you."
"Oh, you won't let me?"
"No, I won't! Yes, I don't have any magic, but I don't need it. Look at her." Zelena motioned to Lily's sleeping form in Regina's car and then continued. "Did you even bother to ask her what she wants? Have you even noticed how her eyes light up with happiness when she uses magic? Have you noticed how she'd squeal with delight when she does the simplest tricks? No, you haven't, you ignored her magic, and yes, I know, I was the first to fight you about staying here, but you can't take her away from her father and away from her magic, just because you're afraid." Zelena finished.
"I'm not."
"You're not… what? You're not afraid? That's crap, Regina and you know it. You are afraid of her using magic, you are afraid of her turning into you! Just like you were afraid of turning into our dearest mother!"
"Yes, fine, I'm afraid, so what?"
"She won't turn dark if she has you, if she has someone to relay on and someone to raise her properly, she'll stay this way, pure, innocent." Zelena said, knowing that if both of them had that, there wouldn't be The Evil Queen nor The Wicked Witch of the West…
"What about you?"
"What about me? I am not going to the other end of the world, I'm going back home, I have a job, responsibilities. But you have to promise that you'll visit at least once a month."
"I promise… Oh, come here." Regina said and hugged her, Zelena instantly hugged her back.
"Okay, can… can I wake her?" Regina nodded in response and Zelena went and opened the door to the backseat. "Hey! Hey! Lily, wake up." Zelena said and shook her gently.
"Why?" The little girl asked, rubbing her eyes. "Why are you crying?" She asked once again.
"Lily, auntie has to go home."
"Yes, but we are all going home!"
"No, you are not. You and mommy are going to stay here and I have to go back." Zelena explained slowly but couldn't stop a few tears that rolled down her face.
"But, no! No! We are all going!" Lily said forcefully and started to cry.
"Oh, sweetie, I wish. But, do you know how you do your magic trick or how you play with Robin, Neal, Ruby, Belle, Rumple, Henry, Roland?" She asked, hoping that she got all the names there. Lily nodded in response and waited for her to continue. "Well, if you leave, you won't be able to do those things and I want you to be happy and those people make you happy… But, don't worry you can come and visit your old aunt when you want. Now, give me a hug." Zelena said and opened her arms, Lily crawled in her arms and hugged her tightly.
"I love you, auntie."
"I love you too, little one… But, now, I really have to go." She said and let go of Lily and exited the car, she didn't say anything to Regina, having already said goodbye, she went straight to her car and turned on the engine, she turned her head back and waved to them, the next moment she was already over the town line.
"What are you doing here?" Granny asked when she saw Regina with Lily on her hip entering the diner.
"We… Zel… Elise convinced me to stay."
"It's not Elise, silly, it's aunt Zelena." Lily corrected Regina.
"Zelena?" Granny repeated.
"Yes, and she's gone, and if anyone tries to go after her, well, they are going to have to do through me." Regina said.
"No one is going to go after her. So, why are you here, I mean, in my diner?"
"I needed someone to watch Lily… I have to go find Robin."
"Give her here, we'll watch her… Go get your man."
"He is not my man! Thank you, for watching her." Well not yet, anyway, Regina said and gave her Lily.
"Sure he is not." Granny commented sarcastically, once Regina was out of the door.
"Regina… what are you doing here?" He asked as he saw her approaching. She stood in front of him and took a breath before she started talking.
"I want to ask you something So, this is very out of the character for me and I've never done this before, so bear with me. Now, I know that we barely spoke this last several days, and I know that this is surprising and out of blue, but I love you and I know what I want, I want you, I want you, Lily, Henry, Roland and me to be a proper family, because I love you all more than I thought I could ever love another human being. You are my soul mate, when I left it was like a part of my soul missing and it was, you were missing, you are the other half of me, you are my perfect match, and I know that I shouldn't be doing this because you and I, both acted like cowards, you staying with Marian and me running away from my problems, I… I don't do things that I don't know how they would end, like not going into that tavern, I was afraid of love but I was also afraid of not knowing what comes next, but now I don't care, I know what I want and I want to gamble for it, I want to take a risk, because you are worth it, we are worth it, so, I am asking you, Robin of Locksey, will you marry me?" After a few moments of silence, Regina continued again. "You don't want to marry me, I mean, that's okay too. I haven't seen you in over three years, of course you're feelings could of have changed, although…" She was cut short when Robin pressed his lips to hers in a slow kiss.
"You talk too much." Robin said once they finished the kiss. "You didn't give me a chance to answer, so, Regina Mills, it would be my pleasure to marry you, but… first, I need to ask you, you see, I am a very traditional man." And then he searched for something in his jacket and he took out a small black, velvet box, he opened it and inside was a beautiful, diamond ring. "This ring has been in my family for so long, it was given from father to son, not one man gave it to his wife-to-be because they were all marriages that weren't born out of love, so they said 'when a man of Locksey, no matter how many generations from now, finds a woman he loves, the woman he's sure that he can't live without, he can use this ring to propose and the ring can stay with the woman forever.' I didn't give this ring to Marian because at the beginning I wasn't sure, so I'm giving it to you, for you to know when you look down on it that no matter what I will love you until the end of time, when we fight you can look at it and know that I will never stop loving you. So, Regina, will you marry me?"
"Yes!" She answered and he slid the ring on her finger.
"There, it fits perfectly." He said and pulled her into a kiss once again.
"We're getting married."
AN: I know the ending was a bit rushed but…it's my story and I can write what I wish had happened (I'm 99,9% sure that we won't get an OQ wedding in the next season) the next chapter is the Epilogue and it's two years after the events of this one(spoiler alert: IT'S THE WEDDING!)…
