"Haruhi, come here." Her adoptive mother called for her.
"I have something to say." Kyoya admitted to his daughter and to his boyfriend.
"What is it?" Haruhi's adoptive father wondered.
"I would like to ask both of you a question. Tamaki, will you allow me to date our daughter?" Kyoya asked rather nervously, but he tried not to show his nervousness.
Kyoya ignored the slight gasp that came from his daughter.
"Yes." Tamaki was dealing with a whirlwind of emotions; he did not want Kyoya to leave him for Haruhi, but he knew that it was best for the two of them to have that kind of relationship.
He gave them this, and mentally gave them his blessing for later on down the road.
"Now, Haruhi, will you do me the honor of being my girl friend?" Kyoya asked; he made it sound almost sound like he was proposing.
"Yes, of course." Haruhi saluted at them, and with that the tension in the room dissipated.
"Are you serious, Haruhi?" Kyoya had to make sure that she was serious, and that she wasn't only trying to be funny and cute; he also had to know that she wasn't only accepting it, because he was her adoptive parent.
"Of course, I am." Haruhi told them seriously; it appeared that she had learned something from Kyoya after all.
