Vaguely remembering her way around the house Stephanie went straight for the kitchen after leaving the lounge to just have a minute to herself to compose herself.

Following Stephanie to the kitchen Lynn pushed the door closed behind her, "everything okay?"

Jumping at the sound of another voice Stephanie spun around to face Lynn and slowly nodded her head, "sure, I just needed a breather."

Walking over to the younger woman she leant on the counter beside her, "you do realise I don't believe a word of it right?"

Sighing Stephanie shrugged, "I tried at least."

"Yes you did but you didn't fool me. Do you want to talk about it?"

Shrugging her shoulders she knew it would sound ridiculous to Lynn if she was to tell her, "you'd think it was stupid."

Raising her eyebrow she was definitely intrigued, "stupid? I doubt it but try me."

Taking a deep breath she blurted it out, "I thought everyone would hate me, I thought there would be some big scene and your parents would kick us out but they've been so welcoming and so nice to Mikey it's overwhelming."

Waiting for her to finish and say something she'd find stupid there was silence between them until Lynn realised that was it, "that's it? That is the furthest thing from stupid. I can completely understand why you felt like that, why wouldn't you? You were walking into the unknown and you didn't know how anybody would react so why wouldn't you be nervous and worried incase they rejected you and your son?"

Stephanie was shocked that she was being so understanding, "I don't know what to say, I didn't expect you to see it like that."

"Why wouldn't I? I'm a Mom too and I know I would want to protect my kids with everything that I am so I can definitely see where you are coming from. My parents aren't bad people though, they wouldn't intentionally hurt Mikey or you."

Her eyes widened and Stephanie shook her head, "I know, I didn't mean to insinuate that I thought they would do it intentionally, I just thought they'd freak out and it'd happen."

"Well they haven't so all you need to do now is relax and come back into the lounge and explain the situation to them so they know what is going on, I think you'll be surprised by their reaction. Are you ready to do it?"

Gulping she slowly nodded her head, "about as ready as I will ever be."

Opening the door Lynn motioned for her to leave and she would follow but hopefully Stephanie wouldn't make a break for it.

Entering the lounge again Stephanie noticed that Mikey was now stood in front of Hunter and Mikey was giving him the look he always gave her when he wanted something, "what do you want Mikey?"

Turning his head Hunter smiled seeing his girlfriend enter the room again, "he wants to go and watch TV with Peter and Neysa but I said he had to wait for you to come back so you could give him permission."

Walking over to the couch she took a seat next to her boyfriend on the couch, "you know you can give him permission to do stuff to."

Shrugging his shoulders he knew that, "well yeah but there is a difference between me giving him permission to have a cookie for dessert and allowing him to go into a separate room with people that are strangers to him."

Sighing softly she leant against Hunter, "he can go next door, I think it would be for the best if he wasn't in the room for the conversation anyway."

Looking back and forth between his parents Mikey still didn't know the answer, "I watches TV?"

Nodding her head she smiled at her son, "yes."

Reluctantly standing up from his place on the couch he ushered his son for the door, "let me introduce you to your cousins and then I will come back to the lounge but you'll know where we are if you want us."

Walking into the den Hunter was immediately attacked as his niece and nephew flew off the couch and hugged him tightly, "we missed you."

Hugging them back Hunter smiled, "I missed you guys too. I brought a visitor for you."

Pulling away from their Uncle they looked at the young boy, "who is he?"

Sighing softly he shook his head, "his name is Mikey and he is my son. Mikey wants to watch TV with you guys so I expect you to both look after him as you are older than he is."

Nodding their heads Neysa took the lead and took Mikey's hand and led him over to the couch, "we're watching Scooby Doo."

Climbing onto the couch Mikey got settled, "I likes dat."

Peter and Neysa say either side of Mikey and the three began to talk about Scooby Doo so Hunter left the room pulling the door slightly to behind him.

Walking back into the lounge he noticed everybody was sat down quietly clearly waiting for him to return and as he did all eyes but his girlfriend's turned to him, "the kids are all watching Scooby Doo apparently." Taking a seat beside his girlfriend he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close, "so how are you all?"

Stephanie couldn't help but laugh at the looks that got thrown his way by his family, "I'm thinking that's not what they wanted you to say."

Shrugging his shoulders he smiled sweetly, "I'm only being polite."

Patricia wasn't normally short with her children but when her son wasn't taking it seriously she was going to make him, "Hunter! We don't hear from you for weeks and then suddenly you turn up on our doorstep with your ex-wife and a little boy and you seemingly announce that you are back together with your ex-wife and the little boy is yours. Explain yourself."

Hunter frowned, "what is there to say? I have been absent because I have been rebuilding my relationship with Stephanie and getting to know my son. I thought you guys would appreciate getting to meet him but if you don't we can always leave."

Paul shook his head at his son, "that is not what your Mother meant and you know it."

Sighing Stephanie looked at her boyfriend, "don't make this difficult please, I don't want them to hate me."

Wrapping his arm tighter around his girlfriend he pulled her closer, "okay for you I will go easy on them." Turning back to his family he shrugged, "I don't know what you want us to say. Stephanie really was pregnant when she said she was, she tried telling me that she was after everything blew up but I wouldn't listen to her. When she came back to the WWE to take over from Vince all of the old feelings I had for her that I had suppressed came to the surface and I wanted to win her back, it didn't go smoothly but eventually she gave me a shot and we started dating and she told me that Mikey was mine and here we are."

Looking at her son she was happy to see him looking happy again, "so is that why you have been easier to deal with recently?"

Looking at his Mom offended he shook his head, "now that is just mean."

Lynn butted in, "but true."

Turning to his sister he playfully glared at her, "traitor."

Laughing she smirked wickedly, "so are the two of you going to get married again any time soon?"

Glaring at his sister he was seriously unimpressed, "keep your fat nose out."

Ignoring her brother's comment she turned to Stephanie, "you have been particularly quiet. Where do you stand on potentially marrying his fat ass again?"

Laughing softly at the comment and how offended he looked she shrugged, "I'm not totally against the idea, we've just not discussed it as we haven't been back together long. Do you seriously not hate me for keeping Mikey from you?"

They all looked at her quizzically but it was Patricia that spoke up, "why would we hate you dear? It's not like it was malicious. Your relationship broke down in a very ugly way and you had to do what you had to do for the sake of your unborn child and as my son can be unpredictable I understand why you didn't push it."

"HEY! What is it today? Pick on Hunter day or something?"

Lynn smirked, "if the cap fits why shouldn't we wear it?"

Patricia cut in before it turned into a full scale war, "so tell us all about Mikey."
