Whilst Mikey had been out with Hunter Stephanie had tidied up the toys, cleaned the whole house from top to bottom, done the laundry and the dishes and had even taken a bath and currently she was sat on the couch staring at the clock wondering what time they would be home. It wasn't that she didn't trust Hunter with Mikey but she just wasn't used to having free time to do absolutely nothing with, normally when Mikey wasn't around she had work to do or errands to run and today there had been nothing.

She had her cell phone in her hand and was thinking of calling Hunter just to make sure that everything was okay when she heard a car pull into the driveway and she practically flew off the couch to see who it was. When she saw Hunter's car she smiled, her baby boy was home.

Walking to the front door she opened it ready for Mikey when Hunter got him out of the car but as she noticed Hunter put Mikey on the floor she watched them both go to the trunk before Hunter opened it and pulled out a rather large box, she was going to kill him.

Hunter could see Stephanie in the doorway so gently nudged Mikey, "go and say hello to your Mom."

Spinning around to see his Mom stood there he ran full speed across the drive and straight into her arms, "Mommy I missed you."

Hugging her son tightly she was so happy to have him home, "so did I baby."

Pulling back he looked at her confused, "you missed you? Where'd you go?"

Laughing she shook her head, "I meant I missed you too baby. Did you have fun with your Dad?"

Nodding his head eagerly he smiled brightly, "we saws Poppy and we went to 'cade and we hads lunch at a rest'rant and we went to toy store and we had lotsa fun."

Turning her attention to her boyfriend she frowned, "what did you buy?"

"'Lectric cars Mommy."

Confused Stephanie looked at Hunter strangely, "what?"

Sighing softly he could tell her he was in deep trouble, "it's basically a race track with cars that is run off the electricity so you can race cars without wrecking the knees of your pants. I thought it would be okay to buy him it, it's only small but I'm sorry if I overstepped my boundaries."

"Wait, you took him to a toy store and just bought one thing?"

Nodding his head he looked at her strangely, "yes? He asked for other stuff but I figured you'd probably kill me enough over just this that I thought I'd better not risk it."

Stepping back she ushered Mikey inside, "well I am impressed that you managed a trip to the toy store and only came out with one item so I can't be too mad at you over it can I really?"

Shrugging his shoulders he didn't want to push his luck, "well you could be if you wanted to I guess."

"Well I don't."

Slipping his arm around her waist as she closed the door and came to stand beside him he leant over and kissed her cheek, "good. Did you enjoy your day?"

"Kind of, I used my time to clean and do laundry and then I was sat doing nothing as I'm not used to being alone and not having work to do so didn't quite know what to do with myself."

Frowning he didn't like that much, "well I guess we'll have to get you used to having some free time all to yourself then won't we?"

Shaking her head she pouted, "nope, I don't want to get used to it."

Mikey tugged on his Mom's arm, "cans we sets it up p'ease?"

Nodding her head she smiled softly, "sure, you know where the playroom is."

Letting go of his Mom's arm he tugged on Hunter's shirt, "comes on Daddy."

Smiling at her boyfriend Stephanie said, "yeah, come on Daddy."

Laughing he followed Mikey as he ran towards the playroom wanting to have some fun with his new toy.

Half an hour later and it was all set up and Mikey was happily sat on the floor playing it by himself for a minute whilst Hunter sat in the corner of the room and Stephanie stood in the doorway. Looking over at her boyfriend she smiled when he beckoned her over and she went and took a seat on his lap cuddling into him resting her head on his shoulder and relaxing as he slipped his arms around her waist holding her closely, "thank you for today Hunter, it meant a lot to me and apparently to Mikey too."

Kissing the top of her head he held her a little tighter, "it's not a problem, I had a lot of fun and it was a really good way for me to spend my day off. You haven't changed your mind about coming to Raw have you?"

Laughing she was a little offended, "well I'm glad you have so much faith in me that I couldn't possibly change my mind."

"I had to ask, I didn't want to look like an idiot waiting for you at Raw."

"Well for your information I haven't changed my mind, I even texted Trish earlier to tell her that we'd be there."

Hunter was so happy she hadn't changed her mind, "thank you for not changing your mind, it means a lot to me."

Before Stephanie could reply Mikey was stood in front of them, "can ones of you p'ay wiv me p'ease?"

Removing Hunter's arms from around her waist she carefully stood up, "you'll have to show me how to play though?"

Taking his Mom's hand he dragged her over to the track, "you picks up da controller and you press da button and da cars go whizz."

Smiling at his explanation she took hold of the controller and pressed the button on it watching as the car sped forward quickly, "oooh, I see what you mean Mikey, this will be fun. Shall we race?"

Nodding his head Mikey moved the cars so they were level, "on t'ree. One . . . two . . . t'ree."

As soon as he said 'three' both of them pressed the button hard watching the cars speed around the track.

Hunter sat in the corner watching them as they played together, he wished he didn't have to leave tonight, actually he wished he didn't have to leave ever as he would happily give it all up just to be here with them all of the time as life was perfect when he was with them.
