Stephanie and Mikey had gone to get some lunch in catering before Vince had returned to his office so when they eventually returned he was happy to see them, "I wondered where you two had disappeared to."

Mikey ran over to his Grandpa's desk and sat Bubbles and Monkey on it, "we wents for lunch."

"Did Hunter go with you or was it some Mommy and son time?"

Shaking his head the little boy frowned, "Hunner had works to do."

A little confused Vince raised his eyebrow at his daughter, "Hunter?"

Shaking her head she didn't want her Dad to give her the third degree so she turned her attention to her son, "so I was thinking we could go and find Trish in a little bit once your lunch has gone down to see if she wants to join us in the ring."

Nodding his head Mikey was excited, "yups, me likey."

Chuckling Vince turned to his Grandson and picked up a pen and a paper, "how about whilst you wait you draw me a picture? I've missed my Mikey masterpieces."

Taking the pen and paper Mikey picked up his monkeys and ran over to the couch to get started.

As soon as Mikey was occupied Vince motioned his daughter over, "come here, we need to talk."

Sighing heavily she walked over to her Father and perched herself on the edge of the desk beside him, "what?"

"Why is Mikey calling Hunter by his name now and not 'Dad' like he was before?"

Shrugging she looked down at the floor, "we thought it was best because I had a run in with one of the wrestlers who was saying some stuff about Hunter and we don't want Mikey to get hurt."

Turning to look at his daughter he didn't believe a word of it, "the both of you or just you? Who are you trying to protect here Steph? Yourself or Mikey?"

Her eyes widened and she looked at her Father in shock, "Mikey of course."

Raising his eyebrow he looked at her sceptically, "really?! It sure doesn't look like that from where I'm sitting. To me it seems like you are too afraid to tell people the truth about Mikey and about your relationship with Hunter, you're too afraid people will judge you for your decision and react negatively."

Crossing her arms defensively she glared at her Dad, "so what if I am afraid? There's nothing wrong with a bit of fear."

Placing his hand gently on his daughter knee he sighed softly, "fear is a normal part of life but when you let the fear run your life then you need to start re-evaluating things. You are allowing the fear you have about how people will react to run your emotions and the decisions you make about Mikey as evidenced by you not wanting him to call Hunter 'Dad' in front of the other wrestlers. Steph it is your life and nobody else's and it shouldn't matter to you what they think, if Hunter doesn't care then why do you?"

Standing up she refused to stay there, "I'm not going to sit here and listen to this." Turning to Mikey she said, "come on Mikey, let's go and find Trish."

Frowning he held up his unfinished picture, "what 'bout my picture?"

Walking over to him she gently took it from him, "it will still be here when we come back and you can finish then, unless you don't want to go in the ring?"

Shaking his head he jumped off the couch, "no we go, come on Mommy. Bye bye Poppy."

Smiling at his Grandson he waved, "have fun and don't get into too much trouble." Looking at his daughter before she had chance to run he simply said, "just think about what I said."

Not wanting to answer him she just took Mikey's hand and led him out of the office.

Leading Mikey towards the Divas locker room she was barely listening as he talked about how excited he was to wrestle Hunter in a match and win. Barely registering when they arrived at the locker room she stopped just in time, "do you want to knock and ask for Trish or shall I?"

Mikey pointed to himself, "I do it."

Letting go of his Mom's hand he turned to the door and knocked as hard as he could with both hands giggling when it swung a little as it hadn't been shut properly.

Hearing a knock at the door Trish almost reluctantly got up from her seat on the bench to answer it but smiled when she saw who was on the other side, "if it isn't my two favourite people."

Mikey smiled at her, "do you wanna come down to da ring wiv me and Mommy? I w'estlin' Hunner."

Raising her eyebrow she looked at Stephanie, "Hunter huh?"

Rolling her eyes Stephanie pressed her lips together in a tight line, "not you too. Do you want to come or not?"

Nodding her head Trish grabbed Mikey's offered hand, "of course I want to come with you guys."

Smiling brightly Mikey grabbed his Mom's hand and the three of them walked off together.

After leaving Vince's office Hunter made a quick exit to catering to get some lunch before he went back to the locker room and changed exiting as quietly as he had entered because he didn't want or need anybody asking questions because he couldn't answer them.

Walking down to the ring he was grateful that nobody else was around as he took a seat on the far side of the ring leaning on the middle rope with his legs hanging to the outside and stared past where the announcers table was.

Entering the main portion of the arena Trish could see in Hunter's body language that he was sad so she quickly put her hand over Mikey's mouth as he went to call out to his Dad. Kneeling down beside him she removed her hand and whispered in his ear, "we've got to be really quiet so we can surprise your Dad okay?"

Nodding his head Mikey put his finger to his lips before he grabbed Trish's hand again as she walked him down the ramp ahead of Stephanie.

Reaching the apron Trish lifted Mikey up and helped him climb into the ring before she stood there and watched.

As soon as he was in the ring Mikey proceeded to run fast across the ring, "Daddy!" Reaching his Dad he flung his arms around his neck from behind and held on tightly.

Jumping when he heard Mikey scream for him he laughed when he felt him throw his arms around his neck and hold on tightly. Twisting as best he could in his position he hugged his son tightly, "hey there. I guess you missed me huh?"

Nodding his head Mikey continued to hold on tightly, "yup. You came to play in da ring wiv me."

Smiling he pressed a soft kiss to the side of his head, "of course I did, I've got to get even with you and beat you in a match don't I?"

Giggling Mikey shook his head, "no, I's win."

Sighing softly Stephanie walked around the ring to be closer to where the boys were, "Mikey, what did we ask you to do?"

Frowning he looked down at the floor, "call him Hunner, I sowwie."

Nodding her head she smiled softly, "it's okay. Come here a minute and let me fix your shoes though please."

Letting go of Mikey he helped him climb out of the ring before he walked over to the other side to talk to Trish as she entered.

Trish had noticed the look on Hunter's face when Stephanie mentioned him being called 'Hunter' and not 'Dad' and she saw the hurt there. When he approached her she had to find out why, "what's going on? Why is he now calling you Hunter again?"

Shrugging his shoulders Hunter then leant back against the ropes, "Stephanie thinks it is for the best, she is worried about how the wrestlers would react if they knew the truth."

"And you?"

Sighing he looked at his son and girlfriend before he looked at Trish, "it kills me. It makes me feel like a dirty little secret and that I'm not good enough for her or to be Mikey's Dad in public but I'm good enough in private."

Turning to look at him fully she was confused, "so tell her that then. Surely being honest with her is a better idea than bottling it up inside."

"I'd rather keep it bottled up inside than lose her. I'm hoping in time things will change, in time she will be more open to the idea of telling people the truth. It's still early days really and I have to be understanding as she just wants to protect Mikey."

She could see that it was tearing him up inside and she wished that she could make it better by shaking some sense into Stephanie but judging by the way she had been reacting today she didn't think that was even possible, "don't leave it too long or she will find more excuses why not to tell people the truth."

Before Hunter had chance to reply Mikey was back in the ring and stood in front of them, "comes on."

Trish smiled at Hunter, "how about I referee the match between the two of you as I am unbiased?"

Smirking a little he shrugged, "I don't know, I think you're kind of biased towards Mikey."

Laughing she couldn't deny it, "well you do speak the truth there but I promise to be unbiased."

Sighing extra heavily for effect he pretended to go along with it, "I guess you will have to do."

Mikey jumped up and down clapping, "yays. Let's go."

Pushing himself off the ropes Hunter moved towards the middle of the ring, "you're going down."

Trish just shook her head, "I want a clean fight and no dirty tactics. Let's go."

Standing back a little she just watched as the two of them got into it.
