Desert Flower: Chapter 5

I was really happy, why you may ask? I ask Yugi if he can teach me how to play Dual Monsters better he was happy to teach me, so now I was rushing through people on a busy street day (which was school time) Yugi said at school time's before first class start's he'll teach me a little so I was rushing yelling out 'excuse me!' when I push through people then apolagizing over my shoulder. But I didn't watch my step hitting a crack in the sidewalk "Kyaaa!"

(Three Minute's Later)

"I won fair and square Joey, so deal with it!" "Hell no! You cheated Triston! I should have won!" Yugi and Tea stood their sighing softly while sweat dropping at their friend's arguement they were forehead too forehead glaring at each other "Guy's, you shouldn't fight over who won." Tea put her hand's on her hips narrowing her eye's at the two idiot's "Yeah, you two fight like children..." Tea shook her head sighing very disappointed in them.

"I wonder where Rose is at? She should've been here by now..." Tea and the two idiot's look at Yugi thinking the same thing but Tea was slightly jealous he was worried about Rose but she just push it aside "Yeah...maybe one of us should go look for her-" before Joey could finish that sentence the classroom door slide open fast and standing there trying too catch her breathe in all her glory was Rose herself.

Rose's POV

I was catching my breathe seeing Yugi, Tea, Joey and Triston looking at me in surprise, shock "I-I'm here!" I took one step but I trip over my feet...again, the floor wanted to say hi I guess "I-I'm fine!" I sit up shacking my head slightly to get the dizziness away "...? What?" they were just staring at me mouth slightly gap open "What happen to you? It's like you were in a fight or something." Triston said I sweat drop how wrong he was "A-acutally, I didn't want to be late and well...I didn't be careful where I run and I end up tripping then I rush on ignoring I tripped and some wild dog was chasing me for some odd reason so I climb on a building pipe on a roof top jump acorss then I landed into a dumpster that's why I'm smelly right now...sorry about that. And then I end up here~" I finished all cheerfully.

It was silent for a while "Wow...you went through hell and school hasn't even started yet." Triston crack a joke making all of us laugh "Come on Rose, you need a clean uniform. No more argueing you two!" Tea said ushering me out the classroom after helping me up on my feet giving Joey and Triston pointed look making them salute her sweat rolling down their temple...I think? Tea can be scary at times but she does care.

Tea took me to get a clean uniform while she throws the dirty and stinky uniform away, I felt cleaner now with the new uniform, Tea even let me use her Lavender purfume she doesn't use really so she hand it too me saying Lavander isn't her smell she cares for, she's more of a vanilla type of girl so we walk back to the classroom seeing Yugi setting up his desk and mine together brought out his deck of card's so I sat down across from him "Sorry about being late Yugi..." I said shyly, he smiled at me which made me want to melt in my seat.

"It's okay Rose, I was worried you were grabbed or hurt when you didn't show up." I blush he was worried about me? "Gosh Yugi, I didn't know you care that much~" I said teasing him making him turn red in the face "H-hey...I do care." I giggled softly "It's okay Yugi I was just teasing you. Now how should we start this lesson master Yugi." Yugi smiled nodded, he brought out his deck set it on his desk on his right side "All you have to do is put your deck on your right side then draw five card's in your hands and we have to flip a coin or somethign to see if me or you go first and second."

"Right!" I did ruffle the deck before I left home so I put my deck down on my right side then draw five cards into my hands and saw not much I could do really...I got two trap cards, one monster card and two spell cards "Now we need a coin or something to see who go's first..." "I got it pal." Joey said out of the blew showing us he had a coin "Okay, you have to choose heads or tails." I nodded "...I'll choose tails." Joey flip the coin in the air watching it land back in the palm of his hand showing heads...damn I already have bad luck "OKay, I'm first so I draw a extra card which when it's your turn you draw one too but first let me set some of my cards down." I watch Yugi set one spell or trap card then a face up monster which was Flame Swordsman.

"Now I end my turn, first person who go's can't attack or do anything yet until it's their turn again but you can after you set your monster card or spell/trap cards." I nodded set one spell card down then set my monster card down faced down though which was my Mystical Elf card that has 2000 defence I can use her to defend my life points for now then I set down a trap card which was called Black Hole I never really like it but if I have to I'll use it "I'll end my turn...a-am I doing okay Yugi?" I was behing my shy self again but I can't help it! Yugi makes me feel this way...I like him...no I think I like him more then that.

It went on like this until I lost, I felt sad and ashamed that I lost but Yugi being nice cheered me up by saing I lasted long enough agents him so I was doing good for my first try so I was happy~ I was walking on the sidewalk on the way home looking at my deck of cards remembering how Yugi teached me so far, I was thinking of my own stragety but I walk into someone making me drop my cards all over the ground "Oh no!" I quickly grab all my cards the best I could but when I check my cards to see if I got them all...I was missing my Dark Magician Girl! I look all over the spot I drop the cards then I saw it on the ground so not thinking I rush over too it picking it up smiling in relief "Thank god, I didn't lose you...hm?" I heard a honking sound behind me then my name being yelled out in panic, I saw Yugi and Bakura standing on the side walk...wait! I then realize I was in the middle of the road and I turn around fast finding out the honking was from a speeding car.

I couldn't move, it felt like my feet was stuck in a cement puddle and I was scared shitless too so yeah I'm going to die young and I didn't even tell Yugi how I felt ether...curse my luck! I was suddenly push hard too the other side of the sidewalk but I knew was very painful when I landed with whoever saved me from being road kill. I groan "Ow..." I sat up slowly but flinch when my body ached in pain "Rose!" I saw Yugi and Bakura rushing over too my side in a panic asking me if I was okay "I-I think I'm okay? Thanks to the person who saved me, I would have been road kill heh heh." I crack a small light joke "Damn right you would have!" I jump same with Yugi and Bakura when the person growled out and the voice was familiar too...oh crap, Seto?

"Y-you saved me?" I was shocked...Seto Kiba saved my life? I think I already died and went to hell "Hn, fine then next time I see you standing in the middle of the street like an idiot I'll let the stupid car hit you." I gap at him when he stood up dusted his weird outfit of his then walking away not even bothering to stay and see if I'm okay "Here, let me help you up Rose." I snap out of my shock lgrab Yugi's hand letting him pull me up gently "Thanks Yugi, sorry about that scare you two...I just didn't want to lose my specail card..." Yugi and Bakura smiled "It's okay, but don't risk your safety like that." Bakura said...more like scolding me like a brother would do "Alright, I'll try not to do something like this...ever! I was petrified though I think I saw my life flash before my eye's for a second there."

Bakura and Yugi argueed with me for a full five minutes when I gave up when they wanted to walk me home to make sure I stay safe but when I took one step my knee's flared up making me hiss in pain almost fall down when Bakura caught me making me stand right "Your knee's are bleeding, Rose." I knew I gotten hurt when Seto pushed me out of the cars way but I'm glad I'm alive then road kill "I'm fine Yugi, really." I try to show him I was fine when I moved forward from Bakuras hand's that was keeping me standing but that didn't end well ether, my knee's gave out all together but luckly I landed in someone's arms...wait.

I look up to see Yugi's face which was red, my face must be red too "A-are you okay Rose?" I nodded shyly "Yeah, my knee's gave out on me...that's all." He frown, worriy shining in his wonderful eye's~...holy cow! Did I just say that? I think I'm losing my mind here. I was picked up and put on Bakura's back so in a way Bakura was giving me a piggy back ride...I think Ai well be jealous but I knew she'll get on later when I ask Bakura to do it. When they brought me home and mom open the front door to see me on Bakura's back knee's bleeding and a brused up some on my arm's and leg's she freaked out drag all three of us in telling Bakura to sit me on the couch while she get the first aid kit I did get scolded from mom after she patched me up then sadly I had to say bye too Bakura and Yugi...specially Yugi I still wish I had the courage to tell him how I feel, I'll just sleep on it.
