Desert Flower: Chapter 8

"Tea!" I groan hearing Yugi's and my other friend's voices from...below? I open my eye's slowly they were blurry at first but when the blurryness went away I held in a gasp I was freaking out! I'm not a huge fan of heights, I look up to see my wrist tied on a crane thing high up in the air I felt tears coming out I hate hieghts I choke on a sob.

"Also, if you look up Pharaoh there is one other person you need to worry about." I saw Yugi no Yami staring at me across from Joey? In shock then anger "Marik! You've gone too far! Let Rose go!" I close my eye's trying to keep calm taking deep breathes but it wasn't helping when Yami was dualing agents his own best friend...will actually this Marik dude is controling him then Seto was here along with Mokuba and the other's when I open my eye's to see Joey went down in the water from a chain around his ankle I wanted to help but how can I when I'm way up here?! I gulp when the small wind gently moved me.

I sweat drop when I heard a sound of ripping above me, I slowly look up to see the rope holding me up by my wrist was slowly ripping...my eye's felt like they could pop out of their socket's I did the only thing I could think of I inhaled then open my mouth and yelled out "The rope is ripping!" I felt myself jerk down slowly making me turn too stone then it was fully ripped making me fall into the ocean making a huge splash but the down fall of it?...I can't swim very well specially when my wrist are tied, I tried kicking my legs up and down trying to push myself up too the survice but I kept going deeper and deeper, I close my eye's tightly trying not too breathe in the water but I couldn't breath!

I gasp under the water making the water into my lungs choking me bubbles escaping my mouth and I was struggling to breath but no matter what I did it was futile I was going to drown. While my eye's were slowly closing I thought I heard a muffled splash above me then a figure was swimming to me then my eye's closed completly feeling arms wrap around my waist.

Yugi's POV

When the Pharoah brought Rose on the docks everyone ran too hi-I mean me "Yami, please let me take over for now." I begged him, he nodded letting me take control of my body started put my hand's over her hest and started counting each time I push down on her chest then I put my ear close to her mouth to see if I felt her breathe but still nothing. "Yugi...i-is she going to be okay?" I look up at everyone "...I wont let her die. Come on Rose!" I push down on her chest again "Don't you leave me..." then I remember CPR mouth to mouth in school...I can do this, I have to save Rose. I plug Rose's nose bend down my lips on hers giving her some of my oxygon.

I repeated it two times when Rose coughed out water so I pulled her to her side letting her puke out all the water that was in her lungs "Rose...thank goodness your okay."

Rose's POV

I shacking breathes and coughing from the water in my lungs on my side feeling a hand rubbing my back, I went back to laying on my back staring at Yugi and the other's I was soaked to the bone "Rose, I'm so happy your okay." I look at Ai who was on her knee's tears cascading down her peach skin I felt bad I made her cry out of worry "I'm sorry..." My voice was crackly and dry and it hurt since my throat was burning from the water in my lungs.

Ai and some lady with blonde hair help me up "Your soaked to the bone girl, I think you need some dry clothes on." I smiled "Yeah...not to be rude...but, who are you?" her and Ai walk me away from the other's to a car "Names Mai, Joey and the others told me so much about you. Hey Wheeler! I'm taking Rose to get some clothes, I'll bring her back so don't worry!" She yelled out to Joey and the other's heard, she started the car and took off with me I sweat drop when i heard Joey yell out Mai's name and she was laughing.

She stop parked walk me into a store, I was confuse shouldn't I go home and put on some dry clothes that are mine? "U-um, Mai? Why are we at a store? I have dry clothes at home..." she wave her hand "Nonsense, every girl deserves to be spoiled once in a great while. And you girl need it. Ah, here's something go try it on in the dressing room is right over there stay in there until I hand you more okay? Now shoo." she gently push me to the dressing room with the outfit she picked out for me in my arms.

When I look at the outfit I almost wanted to scream not at the shirt but the bottom! It was short shorts...my face heated up "Ma-Mai? D-do I really have to wear...this?"

"Of course, now put it on and let me see." I mumbled stuff under my breathe while taking my soaked clothes off then put on the clothes Mai picked out for me, I felt really weird showing too much leg I shyly step out showing Mai "I-I don't like this, it shows my leg's..." she had her index finger tapping agents her chin in thought "Yeah...maybe this one well be better." she shoved new clothes in my arms and push me back in the dressing room, I did the same thing took off the clothes put on the next pair of clothes it wasn't too bad; it was a dress fit for summer it seems it shows most of my back.

When I step out showing Mai she thought it fit me so she handed me one last pair of clothes which was a simple clothes jeans and a tank top. I was in Mai's car going back to Yugi's house, I thank Mai for the clothes and ride "No problem kid, just wear the dress on the next date with Yugi!" my face went red when she said that, I walk up to the door knocking on it until Mister Moto opened the door.

"Why, hello Rose. Come on in my dear Yugi is up stairs in his room very worried about you." I smiled sheepishly walking in "I didn't mean to worry Yugi, sorry If I have worried you as will." I bowed feeling guilty he chuckled "Now, now none of that remember what I told you last time?" I giggled "Call you Grandpa, sorry...I'll go see Yugi now."

I walk up stairs until I found his door knocking on it, I heard his voice behind it asking who it was "It's me, Rose." when I told him it was me the door flew open and I was hugged around the waist making me blush but I pat his back gently. When he let go of me he was embarriss which was cute~ I close his door behind me sitting down on his desk chair "Sorry to have giving you and the other's a big scare."

"I was really worried...I thought you had..." I frown reach over grabbing his hand pulling him to me so I can hug him surprising him "I'm so, so sorry. I didn't mean for all this to happen but next time I'll try my best not let that ever happen to me again, I promise." I let Yugi go noticing his red face making me giggle how cute he looks "Now um I hate to walk home at the time like this so can I stay the night? I can call my mom and tell her."

He Nodded "Yeah that would be wise, I'll inform Grandpa then." I fallowed Yugi until I got too the phone since my cell was lost after I was grabbed, when I told mom I lost my cell and I didn't want to walk home in the dark Yugi is letting me stay at his place...hopefully. I put the phone down when Yugi walk over with a futon and a blanket in his arms "Here's the futon, and Grandpa said you're always welcome to stay here when you want."

I felt touched grab the futon and blanket from his arms "Thank you, I'll sleep in the livingroom-" Yugi cut me off "You don't have to, you can sleep in my room? I-I mean I have enough room for you to sleep on the floor, wait that would be rude of me for letting you sleep on the floor."

I giggled "It's fine Yugi, I'll be okay in the livingroom." I yawn "I'm tired so I'll go right to sleep 'kay? See you in the morning~" I bend down kiss his cheek walk in the livingroom not seeing Yugi's red face.

(Next Day, Ai's POV)

I was walking to Rose's house, I was at Bakura's appartment the whole night since I ran away from my father and the house I used to live in, and I wanted to tell Rose too but I was nervous as always. What happens if she gets upset that I kept it a secret for so long? Or well she be understanding? "All this thinking hurts." I whine rubbing my temples trying to ease the thribbing "Ai?" I turn around to see Rose and Yugi? I sweat drop wave at them "Heh heh, hi Rose, Yugi."

I let them walk up to me since I stop, I hug Rose when she was close and about to say something, but I couldn't help it this feeling inside me was scared shitless when she was pulled out of the ocean by Yugi some reason I felt like I lost her again but why do I feel that way? "Ai? I know you were worried about me but I'm fine now."

I let go of her embarrissed "S-sorry, I was just worried sick." she just smiled "It's okay, where are you headed too?" I felt shy "W-will, I wanted to talk to you alone if that's alright with you Yugi?" he nodded "Sure! I'll see you later Rose!" Rose wave back at Yugi until he was gone "What is it you need to tell me?"

"Actually...can we go to your house first? It's privet and a serious thing I need to tell you." she smiled "Sure, my mom would love to meet you." I hope this will end well and maybe she will forgive me or not but I'll just have faith for now.

Angel: It seems Ai finally is going to tell someone else other then Bakura about her abusive father, but will her father let her go? You'll just have to keep on ready~ Ciao~
