Desert Flower: Chapter 9

Rose's POV

When I introduce my mom to Ai I took her to my room so she can talk to me about something, I let her sat down on my bed while I pulled out my desk chair in front of her "So, what is it you wanted to tell me?" I watch her play with her fingers nervously until she sigh "Okay...you know how I told you and the other's about my mom is alive and I love my parents?" I frown nodding, I jestered her to keep going "...Will...half of that was a lie."

My frown deepened "What part of that was a lie?" she sigh getting nervous "My mom isn't alive...she's been dead since I was five years old and my father isn't a awesome father...he keeps me around so I be his little slave to do everything for him. I told him I was going to put him in jail but...I need your help and the other's b-but I was afraid you and the other's would hate me for keeping this a secret."

She thought me and the other's would hate her for that? I was going to say somethign btu she wasn't done "There's more...my father also abuse's me if I say no cause I wanted to spend time with you and the other's."

"That's horrible!" I reach over grab her hand's in mine "Don't worry Ai, I don't hate you and I know for a fact the other's wont hate you they and I will help you put that bastard in jail for good...I kind of know what your going through actually..." I smiled sadly surprising her "The reason me and my mom moved here cause my father kicked us out, when mom got this job here in Domino City she took it right away since we lived in the streets at the time...shockingly Seto is my mom's new boss."

"What?! Kaiba is your mom's boss? Holy cow! Wait...that guest you said you had over that one day was..." I nodded making her shock "No way! Sorry, go on." I smiled "Right, but...promise you wont tell the other's specially Yugi! I hate to keep worrying him." "Sure, I wont tell them if you tell me so." I sigh "Lately mom and me have been getting creepy letter's in the mail but no return address or anything...here I kept the newest one we got this morning." I handed her the open envelope I watch her read the letter the more she read it the more shock and angry she got.

"This jerk! You should tell the police! This person seems to want to harm you and your mother...don't know why but you should turn this in and maybe talk to Kaiba maybe he'll keep a close eye on your mother at work while I'll stay with ya." I was taken by surprise "Y-you don't need to do that!" I was surprise she would want to do this and what happens if she got hurt by protecting me? I don't want that to happen to her, Ryo would be upset if she was hurt.

"Nonesense! Your my friend. Can I tell Bakura? He'll help too." I chuckled smiling "Sure, I should go soon...Seto's Tournament for the only one's that made it to the finale is going...are you coming?" she nodded "Yep, I want to see you kick some butt~." I told my mom me and Ai were heading off for the final Tournament saying bye then actually making it just in time to see the other's enter a...huge blimp?!

I jog over "Wait for us!" me and Ai got in seeing Yugi and the other's greating us "Wow, did you get six locator card's already Rose?" Tea said happy but surprised "Yeah, it wasn't easy but I made it~" I showed everyone my locator card's I was excited but scared for my first duel.

I was in my room looking through my Deck making sure all of my card's are there and to come up with a stragety when there was a knock at the door so I called out 'Come in!' not looking up busy with my deck.

"Rose?" I jumped slightly look up to see Yugi standing in front of me at the leg part of the bed I was sitting on cross leg "O-oh, hi Yugi. What's up?" he scratch behind his head while blushing 'Aww~ he look so cute all shy.' I thought to my self "I-I wanted to tell you good luck in your turn when you duel."

I smiled "Thanks, when it's your turn to duel I'll cheer you on and your other side Yami too." he blush scratch behind his head shyly.

It was a arkward silence for a while until everyone was called to the main spot of the blimp and Seto had this michine that randomly chooses who we dual againts, I'm very nervous I hope I don't end up dueling againts Yugi or Seto...I know for sure I'll lose. Yugi end up having to duel againts Bakura.

~~Skip Duel~~

It was horrible, poor Ai had to watch her byfriend get controled by a evil spirit in his Millennium item, so she stayed behind with Tea until she had to get some food, I was walking to my room I stayed in when I saw Ishizu and some girl with same tan skin as her walking to her room I think so I wanted to say hi so I called out her name smiling at her.

"Hi Ishizu, I didn't realize you were in Kaiba's city battle thing." she smiled gently nodded "Yes, it's good to see your well...but please stay safe when your alone on this blimp. It seems my brother found out about you Rose, so please do take care."

"I will, don't worry. Hi, what's your name?" I turn from Ishizu to the unknown girl who smiled brightly "Hi! My name is Yuki Fujibayashi~" I smiled shyly nodded "It's nice to meet you Yuki...not to sound rude but why are you on the blimp? Are you with Ishizu or part of the finale duel?" I tilt my head cariously.

She nodded smiling brightly "Yep! Will, both 'yep' for those two question's~" I was upset she was part of the duel I hope I don't end up dueling againts her "Can I hang with you for a while? Ishizu told me Seto Kaiba will announce the next duel soon."

I smiled nodded "Sure, my room is this way." I took Yuki to my room I use, she ask me how I started dueling I told her I just started not too long ago but I already had card's I just didn't know how to duel right but Yugi taught me how but I was still a rookie. We were having so much fun getting to know each other when everyone was caled back to knwo who will duel next and who was dueling next shocked me and Yuki...We have to duel each other.
