"These muffins are delicious Ditzy!" Midnight cried happily.

"Oh, you haven't even tried the banana nut muffins yet, they're my favorite," the Pegasus blushed.

The three ponies were taking a break from their usual antics and spending the day in Ponyville. Ditzy had made hundreds of muffins to take with them, obviously some had been left at the TARDIS.

"Well my favorite ones are the chocolate chip muffins!" Declared the Doctor as he stuffed another one in his mouth.

"Doctor, save some for later! We're spending all day here," she chastised.

"Oh come on," he said, crumbs spilling from his full mouth "We can always get more from the TARDIS, there are plenty!" She sighed and turned to the blue alicorn.

"Which ones are your favorites Midnight?"

"I think the blueberry muffins are the best, especially with crumble, but they're all delicious! Where did you learn to cook like this?"

"Oh, my dad taught me everything I know about making muffins,"

"But I bet that 3,000 page book on the history of muffins took some extra research," the Doctor noted.

It was a clear day with only a few clouds and a slight breeze rustled the cloak hiding the alicorns wings, and her blank flank that would draw attention considering her age. They reached the center of town and paused to make a plan.

"Where should we go first?"

"Well, I thought we could... Eeep!" The two other ponies turned to see town hall finish lifting itself from the ground and turning upside down. All around them houses and chunks of the ground started floating.

"I've been here for a while now," the Doctor started " and I don't think that's normal, Ditzy?"

"Definitely not,"

"Well then, let's find out what's going on!" Midnight raced off, soon followed by her friends.

"She's more like you every day, Doctor. Midnight! Where are we going?" She called, causing her friends to stop in their tracks. The youngest giggled.

"I guess we should figure that out first, shouldn't we?"

"We're going to find out what's going on, we can't do that standing around here! I mean, what causes floating houses and... chocolate rain?" He finished as they were suddenly drenched in the stuff. The clouds were pink as well. All around them, ponies were running around in a frenzy, shutting themselves in their houses.

"So, we're just going to look around until we find what's causing all this?"

"Yup! That's the plan!"

"That's always the plan," the pegasus mumbled as he turned to rush off.

"Oh come on, it's a great plan," the two mares rushed off after their friend to look for the cause of the chaos as the grass transformed into a giant purple chessboard.

Soon their gallop slowed to a trot. None of them had the slightest idea what to look for and the extreme change in their surroundings didn't help. Everypony else had locked themselves inside after the initial panic. The trio had tried knocking on a few of of the doors still on the ground but nopony would open them more than a crack to respond, if at all. They walked away from another house with as many answers as they had started with.

"Do you think the princesses have noticed yet?" Sighed the dejected Pegasus.

"How could they not have? They live in the forest right next to Ponyville! I'm sure they're trying to figure this out just like us," Midnights answer surprised Ditzy.

"In the everfree forest? Doctor what year is it?"

"Well I haven't really gotten the hang of your years yet..."

"Which explains why we keep ending up in the wrong time,"

"But I'd say definitely more than a thousand years before your time, no more than three thousand,"

"So they do still live in the everfree, Midnight how did you know they didn't live in Canterlot yet?"

"Oh, I didn't think about that... we just go to the past more than the future or present so I'm used to thinking of them being there," She nodded, that was true, they should go to the future more. And other planets, the Doctor was still getting used to their universe as well.

"Well that throne definitely wasn't there earlier," on top of a purple hill, on a particularly strange throne, sat an even stranger creature. "Let's keep an eye on him," they nodded in unison. They had never seen anything like it. He, or at least they assumed it was a he, had a cloven hoof, a dragon like leg, an eagle claw, a lions paw, a bat wing a bird wing a short mane an antler a blue horn and a long serpentine body.

"Look, it's the princesses!"

The two mares flew towards the strange creature, not riding in a chariot with their usual escorts. They landed in front of him and the eldest started to speak, though the trio couldn't make out their words.

"We need to get closer," Ditzy was the first to break into a gallop. They had just gotten into hearing range when Celestia spoke again, catching sight of them.

"Luna, put up a shield, we do not want anypony getting hurt if things do not go well," Her sister nodded and in only an instant the time traveling ponies found themselves unable to continue. The barrier blocked their progress and all sound from inside but they could see that things did, in fact, not go well.
