Hi! Long time no see? I hope you guys still read these because I still think about my babies all the time (C&E). I wrote this chapter a couple of days ago on my philosophy class. I don't know why but while the professor talked about Epistemology all I kept thinking was "I can totally see this happening." as I wrote and wrote. So, I hope you guys enjoy it! Please review and message me :)
Also I wanted to say that I wanted to make this story on a chronological order but my muse wasn't cooperating so yeah, keep in mind that there is no order at all.
March 23rd, 2010- Yearn
The dark haired bundle of joy fussed on his mother's arms. His soft blue eyes contrasting against that tuff of jet black hair situated at the top of his head. His little arms wiggled as he tried to find a comfier position. Not being able to do so, his face scrunched up and small cries could be heard all over the restaurant. The tired looking mother placed the newborn against her chest and swayed him lightly coaxing him into dream world.
From the side of the restaurant Calleigh witnessed the whole scene, her heart warming up at the cute picture as a small smile formed on her lips. She stared as the mother expertly ate and swayed the kid every few minutes. She felt a body slide next to hers on the booth and faced the person.
"Hey!", he whispered excitedly and dropped a soft kiss on her lips, then moved up and kissed her forehead.
"Hi you! Why so happy?"
"Well..." he began, reaching for a breadstick on the table and munching on it hungrily.
"The father confessed, so H said I could head home whenever I wanted to, which means that I can cook my beautiful girlfriend a nice home-made dinner with some nice wine, some nicer dessert and A Walk To Remember," he rose his eyebrows expecting an excited smile and Yeah!, but instead all he got was a...
"Ooh that's nice," and rose her eyebrow.
He looked at her confused and found himself pouting.
"Are you okay?"
"Me? Yes, of course! Why? What happened? What'd I do?"
"No, nothing you just seem a bit off, that's all."
Calleigh nodded and looked once again at the little family of two while biting her lip. Well, it is now or never, she thought.
" I just... I want to be completely honest with you Eric. Its just that, well, my biological cock is running and I just, I feel the sudden yearn, the sudden need to be a mother. I mean I always pictured myself without them but then I met you and I just. I want a baby so bad Eric. I mean look at them."
Calleigh nodded towards the woman and her kid.
"I want that Eric. I want that with you. Do you want to have a baby?"
Eric stared at her intently, shock evident on his face. His mouth stood agape as his brain tried to absorb and process all of the info that it just had been given. If there was something that Eric wanted more than anything in the world was to have a family of his own, and a big one. And the second thing he wanted more than anything was to have that big family with Calleigh. Sure they've talked about kids a few months ago when they had to babysit for his sister, but they'd left it at Whatever happens, happens. Yet here she was, Calleigh, telling him rather than him telling her. Now there was certainty and urgency. Now their relationship was stable and serious. Now there was genuine wanting. Suddenly his mind was swarmed with images of a pregnant Calleigh running her hands around her enlarged abdomen while singing to it. Calleigh carrying a 2 year old while holding the hand of an older boy. Calleigh, just the tough of her made him smile.
"Eric," Calleigh whispered, pulling him out of his reverie, worry echoing her words. She doubted at all that Eric would be scared by her confession, but still, she was concerned and wasn't at all prepared to see him so speechless. She needed to hear something, she needed to see some facial expression, something. So she touched his hand and stared into his eyes, looking for some kind of answer.
Eric smiled at her and looked into her eyes, he grabbed her hand and dropped a kiss to her knuckles,
"Baby, of course I want to have a baby with you!"
At this Calleigh let out a breath she didn't realized she was holding and laughed at him.
"God I can't believe we're doing this!"
Eric let out and laughed, dropped another kiss to her lips which Calleigh deepened. His thumbs wondered to her cheeks and he smiled against her lips and pushed her away playfully.
"As much as I'd like to try for that baby now, I don't think the staff would approve of that... nor Horatio."
Calleigh giggled and blushed.
"Okay, tonight tough!" she whispered sheepishly.
"Oh yeah, tonight," He winked at her and kissed her one last time before the waitress arrived to take their order.
I'm already working on the next chapter ;)
