Hey there guys! Prism here back with the latest chapter. So it looks like this'll be the last chapter of Agrabah then we'll see where Roxas' team will be headed. I still own nothing than the plot and my OCs. Sorry this has been so long but I have a full-time job now and rent to pay so I'm finding it hard to find time to write. And I don't want to just throw something together just for the heck of it, I want it to actually be good. And on that note let's dive right on in!
Chapter 57: The Hand of Midas
As the sun set to the Arabian kingdom, Sora and his team were left wandering the streets of Agrabah slaying any of the few heartless they came across. No one really felt like talking or smiling since Cassim and Iago were dragged away in chains a few hours ago. Since then, they'd just been wandering the streets for the past few hours. The sky had already turned dark
Feeling he had to break the awkward silence amongst his team, Sora spoke up. "So, do any of you guys know where Aladdin went? I mean, we've been wandering around for awhile and we haven't seen him once since the guards arrested Cassim."
"Can you really blame him?" Asked Max. "He thought his dad was going to change for him when all he wanted was to get that stupid treasure. He's probably really upset about it."
Goofy sighed as he hugged Max who full-on accepted it. "Gawrsh. I can't even imagine choosing treasure over you, Maxie."
"Thanks, dad." Smiled Max.
"I blame Iago!" Stated Donald. "He's way too greedy!"
At that statement, West snickered behind her hand and mumbled, "You are too."
Mickey turned to Sora. "Why are you asking about Aladdin all of a sudden?"
Sora sighed. "I just can't help it, Aladdin's like an older brother to me I just want to know if he's okay." (1)
"If you're so worried, why don't we check his hovel? It's the only place we haven't been since Cassim was arrested." Suggested Riku as Sora nodded and smiled up at him.
"Okay, sounds good. Let's go." With that said, the team of nine made their way towards Aladdin's hovel. However, when they entered, they found no Aladdin but Genie, Carpet and Abu looking out the window into Agrabah's street with auras of worry surrounding each one of them. The team of world travellers stood there for a few moments not saying a word until Genie spun around and saw them.
"Oh! H-hey you guys! What's... Going on?" Genie asked. His voice was nervously shaking and his eyes kept shifting back towards the window. Sora raised an eyebrow; this definitely didn't seem like Genie at all. He was always so full of life and laughter so why was he acting like this now?
Ignoring Genie's strange behaviour for now, Mickey stepped forward. "We were getting worried about Aladdin and thought he might be up here but I guess we were wrong."
"Oh yeah! That's right he's not here!" Genie said as he started pushing the team out the door. "Sorry to disappoint you guys but we haven't seen Al at all. You know, it's pretty late so you kids should head back to the palace and to bed!"
"Woah woah woah wait a minuite!" Sora exclaimed as he spun around to face Genie. "Genie, what's going on? You're acting really weird."
At that, Genie started to sweat a little and nervously glance outside the window. "W-what are you talking about, Sora? I'm not acting weird at all!"
"Come on, Genie don't play dumb!" Kairi protested as she glared up at him and put her hands on her hips. "You know where Aladdin is and you're trying to hide it from us!"
"N-No I don't!" Genie protested.
"Genie, please just tell us. We're going to find out eventually, anyway." Said Sora. "You gotta remember from our last adventures that I always try to find out the truth."
"We're just worried about Aladdin." Said Donald. "He's our friend and we wanna make sure he's okay."
Releasing a sigh of defeat, Genie answered. "Okay, Aladdin went to go break his dad and Iago out of the Palace dungeon."
"WHAT?!" The entire group of nine exclaimed at once.
"Aladdin went out to break Cassim out of jail?!" West exclaimed.
Mickey shook his head in disapproval. "What's he thinking?! Doesn't he know how dangerous that is."
"Yeah, what if the guards catch him?!" Lea questioned out loud.
"Belive me, I tried talking him out of it." Genie explained. "But Al's mind was already made up. I don't know what was going through his head but he was dead set on going."
"Where are they now?!" Asked Sora.
"Well, let's see... They're probably outside the city by now." Genie responded guiltily.
With the new information, Sora turned to his team. "Come on, if we hurry we can probably still catch them!" Without anyone protesting, the team of world travellers bolted out of Aladdin's hovel. Then they ran back into the city streets leaving Genie, Carpet and Abu behind.
Sora and his team rushed through Agrabah's city streets slaying as many heartless as they could. Never stopping until they reached the edge of the city. Before long, they reached a tall cliff side. They looked around the corner and spotted Aladdin, Cassim and Iago. Donald summoned his staff and was about to jump out and attack them. But before he could, Sora held out his arm, stopping him. Sora noticed that while Cassim and Iago looked eager to get going, Aladdin was looking back at the Palace. So, the team stayed quiet and carefully listened to the exchange.
"They won't be able to pick up our trail until daylight. By then, we'll be long gone from Agrabah. I'm sorry for what you lost, But you can't go back now." Cassim said as he noticed Aladdin was still looking towards the Palace. "You know that... What are you doing?" He asked as he saw Aladdin start to walk back towards the city.
"I'm not going with you. I can't." Aladdin said as he shook his head.
"Well, you can't go back. The moment the guardssaw your face, your life in Agrabah was over." Argued Cassim.
"I have to go back; Jasmine is there." Aladdin explained as Iago flew up to him and landed on his shoulder.
The parrot shook his head in disagreement. "Kid, it's over. You're a criminal now."
"I won't do what he did. I won't run away." Said Aladdin.
"I never ran away from anything in my life!" Cassim snapped.
"You ran away from your family!"
"I told you what happened! What else could I do!? What else can you do!?"
"The right thing." Aladdin replied with a small growl as he removed the Midas dagger from his sash and tossed it to the sandy ground at his father's feet. "You should take this back."
"But Al, they'll lock ya up!" Iago protested. "Come on, we have the oracle! The treasure's just waiting for us!"
At that statement, Aladdin shot up to attention. "The oracle!?" He questioned as he turned to his father. Sure enough, Cassim reached behind his back and pulled the oracle staff out from his cape. He must have stolen it after Aladdin freed him.
"I had nothing left to lose." Cassim spoke defensively.
Aladdin shook his head in disappointment. "Yes, you did." He said as he started walking back towards the city.
"But it was supposed to be a father-son outing!" Wined Iago.
It was at that moment that Aladdin lifted off his shoulder and pointed towards Cassim. "Go with him, lago."
Iago was honestly stunned. "What? You mean it? Really?"
"Go." Nodded Aladdin.
"Good luck, kid." Sighed Iago as he flew onto Cassim's shoulder. Aladdin stayed behind and watched the two of them slowly fade into the distance. When he couldn't see them anymore, Aladdin spun around only to be greeted by the sight of Sora and his team standing before him.
"Gotta say, I really didn't think you'd actually break your dad out of jail." Riku said.
Donald shook his head. "And I really don't know what you're thinking going back to Agrabah."
"Huh?!" Aladdin asked. "How long have you guys been watching?"
"Long enough." Replied Sora. "Aladdin, are you sure you want to go back?"
"Yeah, you heard what Iago said; there's no way there's not going to be consequences." Said Mickey.
Aladdin nodded his head in determination. "If there's a punishment, I'll take it. I love Jasmine to much to just leave her. And I need to be honest about what I did."
Sora smiled in agreement. "Okay, we'll stand beside you." He said as the rest of his team vocalized their agreement.
And on that note, the group began their journey back to Agrabah, slaying the few heartless that crossed their path. It wasn't long before they made it back to the palace. They found Jasmine, Razoul and the Sultan easily in the throne room. The Sultan and Jasmine had disappointed looks in their eyes, though Jasmine looked more worried. While Razoul just looked smug as though he was happy about the situation Aladdin was in. It wasn't long before Genie, Carpet and Abu arrived too, looking equally worried.
Seeing that everyone, including Sora and his team, was eagerly awaiting an explanation Aladdin stepped forward and began to explain. It took some time for Aladdin to explain everything, but by the time he finished an overwhelming silence spread through the throne room.
No one said a word for a long time until the Sultan finally spoke. "Frankly, my boy, your actions were most disappointing." The Sultan said with a sigh.
"It is tragic, Your Highness, but the street rat has obviously followed in his father's footsteps. Aladdin is a criminal." Razoul stated with a large grin on his face as though he was just waiting for Aladdin to receive his punishment. Just by looking at Razoul's face Sora couldn't help but feel angry. He was just lloking for any kind of excuse to torment his friend. The young Keyblade Master was so relieved when Genie popped up beside Razoul dressed in a lawyer's suit and holding a briefcase.
"I object, Your Honour! I object to that outrageous statement and I object to a tertiary character having any lines during my big courtroom scene!" Genie exclaimed as he snapped his fingers, causing Razoul to disappear then, reappear outside the newly locked Palace gates.
"Ugh. Genie, thank you for finally getting rid of that jerk!" Said West with a sigh of relief.
Kairi nodded and turned to West. "Yeah, he was starting to get on my nerves. He just really seemed grumpy and out to get him."
"Oh good, so it wasn't just me who noticed that." Said Riku.
"Anyway, back to business!" Genie said as he turned toward the Sultan as he addressed him like a courtroom judge. "Your Honor, if I may enter a plea of insanity, because I'm crazy about this kid!" Laughed Genie as he pulled Aladdin into a tight hug and gave him a noogie.
However, Aladdin clearly wasn't in the mood for that as he pushed Genie away. "Genie, I can handle this myself." Aladdin said as he took a deep breath and approached the Sultan. "Sultan, I convinced my dad to come here. It was my fault. I would have been better off if I had never known him." Sighed Aladdin. As Sora studied his face, he realized his friend looked like he was about to cry. He really did feel guilty about bringing the King of Thieves to the city.
"Aladdin, don't say that." Said Sora. "Didn't you say you always wanted to know about your dad? Well, isn't the fact that you found him a big accomplishment?"
"And Cassim took a huge risk coming here now that I think about it." Added Goofy. "He had to have known there was a chance he'd get caught."
Max nodded in agreement. "He risked his freedom to see you get married, you have to give the guy credit for that."
Jasmine smiled as she took Aladdin's hand in hers. 'And you risked everything|to help him, just as I would for my father."
There was a few moments of silence as the Sultan thought about what was said. Finally, after what seemed like ages, the Sultan stepped down from his throne, stood in front of Aladdin. The group looked on nervously as Genie and West started biting their nails, Kairi held on to Sora's arm as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck. Lea, Mickey and Riku gritted their teeth, Donald tightly hugged carpet and Abu, Max and Goofy looked on nervously.
The Sultan cleared his throat, then began to speak. "Aladdin, I could not overlook your father's crimes, but what you have done, well, you did it out of love. And you came back to take responsibility for your actions. Let us put this matter behind us." The Sultan smiled kindly up at Aladdin as the entire group let out sighs of relief.
"All right! That's more like it!" Lea pounded his fist into the air.
"Oh yeah!" Genie exclaimed happily as he started clapping. "Good call! Okay, let's give a big hand for the wise and generous Sultan!" The team of world travellers quickly joined in with their own applause.
With overwealming happiness, Aladdin couldn't help but smile. "Thank you so much, your majesty."
The Sultan released a chuckle. "Oh, think nothing of it, my boy. I believe we have postponed the wedding long enough." With a smile on his face and a happy skip in his step, the Sultan walked out the throne room and off to bed.
But, no sooner had the Sultan left the throne room that there was a loud, familiar scream. Everyone turned to the open balcony and were greeted with the sight of a familiar red parrot crashing down towards them and landing on the balcony with a loud thud.
Iago slowly pushed himself up and was breathing heavily and his feathers were roughly matted and covered in mild injures as though he'd just escaped something. "Al's... dad... Sa'luk... heartless." Iago wheezed.
Without any hesitation, the large group rushed over towards Iago. Kairi quickly cast cure on him as Jasmine scooped him up in her hands.
"Just take a deep breath, lago." Jasmine said as the parrot continued to huff and wheeze breathlessly. "Now, what about Aladdin's father?"
Iago took a deep breath as suggested, then moved to explain. "It's Sa'luk, the guy Al and Sora beat! He's not beat! He's back!"
"Sa'luk's alive?!" Sora exclaimed. "No way! I thought me and Aladdin beat him! He fell into the ocean!"
Iago shook his head. "Well, ya didn't! When me and Cassim got back the lair was crawling with heartless and Sa'luk was there waiting for us! I think he must've turned the rest of the forty thieves into heartless!"
"Oh man, that doesn't sound good." Max said.
"Cassim did say that Sa'luk was the one controlling the heartless at the wedding, he must've turned the rest of the thieves towards darkness." Said Lea.
"So where's Cassim now?" Mickey asked Iago.
"He's on a ship with Sa'luk on their way to the Vanishing Isle." Said Iago. "Sa'luk's got the oracle too. He's going after the Hand of Midas. Cassim's in real trouble!"
But, at the mention of his father being in trouble, Aladdin's brow furrowed in anger. "That's his problem! He chose to go back to that life!"
"Al, come on." Said Genie. "I know your dad made a lot of bad choices, but that doesn't mean you have to."
Sora nodded in agreement. "He's your dad, Aladdin. How can you do anything else?"
At their words, Aladdin released a sigh. "I'm being as stubborn as he was." Then, he turned to Iago. "Okay, Iago. Show us the way they went. I need to help my father."

Sometime later, the team of nine world-travellers, Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Abu, Carpet and Iago were on their way after Cassim and Sa'luk. Unfortunately, Carpet wasn't big enough to carry everyone and the keyblade gliders wouldn't last long enough. So, while Iago flew ahead of the group, Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, Kairi and Sora followed on Carpet. And on the ocean, Genie had transformed into a motorboat to carry Riku, West, Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Max and Lea and was following closely behind.
After following Iago for some time, the group finally spotted something in the distance. As they grew closer, Sora's eyes widened in surprise at what he saw. Sure he'd seen a lot of weird things on his travels across the worlds but nothing quite like that; a golden city resting on the back of a giant turtle.
"That's the Vanishing lsle?" Aladdin asked as his jaw dropped in awe.
"On the back of a giant turtle?" Jasmine questioned. "Why a turtle?"
Sora turned to Aladdin. "Remember what Cassim said back at the lair? 'The hand of Midas is on an island that's never in the same place twice.'"
"Yeah, you're right. This is probably why." Agreed Aladdin.
"Still... A turtle. I think this is probably the weirdest thing we've seen yet." Said Kairi.
Sora shook his head. "Be thankful you didn't have to cross paths with the Cheshire Cat."
At that moment, Iago pointed towards the island. "I spotted Cassim and Sa'luk! And it looks like they've got a whole army of heartless with them!"
"Okay, let's get closer." Said Aladdin as Capet flew down to the farthest corner of the golden city. Genie and the rest of the world travellers followed as they began to navigate their way through the Vanishing Isle.
They soon found Cassim and Sa'luk. Just as Iago said, Sa'luk was leading an army of bandits, fat bandits, pot spiders and even a few pot centipedes. Cassim's wrists were tightly tied behind his back and Sa'luk had a tight grip on him and the oracle staff. The group stayed behind and silently watched as the two men and the heartless continued walking.
"Okay, this is a delicate hostage situation." Mickey whispered to the group. "We need to stay calm and wait for the right opportunity to-"
"CHARGE!" Donald, Goofy, Lea and West shouted all at once as they burst out of their hiding spots and attacked the heartless without any resistance. At their voices, Sa'luk and Cassim spun around and watched in surprise.
Lea slashed at a one of the pot centipedes with his chackrams, Goofy slammed ibnto a group of pot spiders with his shield and West used her knife to deeply wound the bandits. Donald in the meantime had become surrounded by fat bandits. But, Donald was ready to take them on.
"I got it!" Donald quacked as he raised his staff and levitated into the air. He waved the Mage's staff towards each enemy's direction causing them to be attacked by a cluster of colorful fireworks. The damage he was causing kept increasing little by little with each blast of fireworks until he was ready to deliver the finishing blow. "Take that you big palookas!" With that, he allowed his staff to levitate above him and spin in the air, causing a large explosion of elemental fireworks to burst beneath him. (2)
"Or... we could just jump out and attack everything." Mickey sweatdropped as he and the others watched the battle unfold.
"Well, we might as well join them." Shrugged Sora as he summoned his keyblade, leading the rest of them into battle. Sa'luk growled in anger at the sight of the reinforcements, but still refused to release Cassim or the oracle. But just then, Aladdin and Sora jumped in front of him. Aladdin wasted no time in punching Sa'luk in the face, causing the older man to fall to the floor.
"It took me years to find my father. I'm not losing him again." Aladdin growled at Sa'luk while Sora hurried to untie Cassim. Sa'luk looked towards the rest of their allies. Realizing he was drastically outnumbered, he dropped the oracle and fled the scene. But, even after Sa'luk had fled, the heartless he had with him remained and even started respawning.
Cassim picked up the oracle, placed it into his cape and turned to Aladdin. "You came to help me?" He asked, astonished.
Aladdin nodded and smiled. "How could I do anything else? Now, let's get that treasure of yours."
"Really?" Cassim asked with a surprised look on his face.
"Yeah. We came this far." Replied Aladdin as he then turned to Sora. "There might be more heartless up ahead. Can I count on your help."
"Like I'm gonna say no?" Sora laughed. After a quick discussion over a heartless battle, it was decided that Genie, Jasmine, Iago, Abu, Carpet, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Lea and West would stay behind to take care of the large army of Sa'luk's heartless while Sora, Kairi, Riku and Max would go with Cassim and Aladdin.
Aladdin's group moved quickly, finding a temple in the centre of the island and quickly entered. But, at that moment, the entire island shook violently.
"Woah! What was that?!" Riku asked.
"Earthquake?" Max asked. "No, what am I saying, we're on a giant turtle."
Aladdin simply laughed. "Feels like Genie and the others got carried away with the heartless." But Cassim shook his head.
"No! It's the Vanishing lsle. The turtle is diving. We must hurry." Cassim explained.
With that, the group continued their pursuit through the tremble, slaying every heartless that blocked their path until they found their target. In a large round room there was a giant seemingly bottomless pool of water and on a levitating golden platform above that was a statue with the golden Hand of Midas in place of the statue's hand.
The group looked on at the treasure in awe.
"Wow, I'm sure glad Donald's not here." Said Sora. "He'd be drooling nonstop over that."
In the meantime, Cassim was gazing at the rather large gap to get to the platform. "Pity I didn't find this place years ago. This would be much easier if I were much younger."
But in the next moment, Aladdin rushed over to the edge of the cliff they were standing on and leaped over the large gap, landing on the platform. Then, like clockwork, Sora, Riku, Kairi and Max followed his lead, all landing on the platform.
"Aladdin! Sora! What are you all doing?!" Cassim exclaimed.
Aladdin simply smiled and waved at his father. "See? It pays to have junior partners."
"Don't worry Cassim. Just leave this to us!" Riku replied with a teasing smirk.
"Be careful. Don't touch the golden hand." Warned Cassim. After giving an understanding nod, Aladdin carefully took the handle of the Hand of Midas and gently extracted it from it's holster. Once it was free, Aladdin turned to Cassim.
"Heads up." Aladdin shouted as he tossed the treasure towards his father. The Hand of Midas flew through the air until it landed in Cassim's cape, turning it to gold. Then, he picked it up by the handle, a giant grin on his face.
"At long last! The Hand of Midas!" Cassim said happily when the Vanishing Isle violently shook again.
Riku spoke up. "And, I think that's our cue to ditch this place."
"Agreed! Time to go!" Nodded Cassim. But, before anyone could move a muscle, Sa'luk jumped down from above and landed on the platform.
"Nobody's going anywhere." Sa'luk growled as he brandished his golden claws.
Clearly sensing that Sa'luk wanted to fight and he wasn't planning on backing down, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Max and Aladdin brandished their weapons and charged towards the enemy.
Cassim watched as the battle with Sa'luk began and desperately tried to look for a way over to them. But sure enough, it was impossible for him to leap over the rather large gap to get to them. So, Cassim was left to watch the battle from a distance.
Sa'luk violently swiped towards Aladdin who just barely managed to jump out of the way. Taking the opportunity of Sa'luk's distraction, Sora raised his keyblade and cast a blizzard spell. But, Sa'luk jumped out of the way at the last second, causing Sora to accidentally hit Aladdin instead. Thinking quickly, Kairi cast a cure spell on Aladdin before hitting Sa'luk with a strike from Destiny's Embrace. Riku attacked next with a Poweful blow. Max followed their lead by rushing towards Sa'luk on his skateboard. But, Sa'luk reacted quickly and delivered a strong kick to Max's skateboard, sending him flying into Riku.
Aladdin knew they had to defeat Sa'luk quickly before the Vanishing Isle sank back into the ocean. So, he brandished both his sword and the Midas dagger that he had previously gotten back from his father and set his sights on Sa'luk.
"Here I come!" Aladdin exclaimed as he rushed towards Sa'luk. It looked like he just ran past Sa'luk without doing any damage but in the next second, Sa'luk crumpled to his knees having suffered major damage. Aladdin didn't waste any time in rushing back towards Sa'luk and dealing more fast, sharp attacks. Each quick strike caused Sa'luk to drop more and more munny and items and deal quite a bit of damage. "Don't mess with a street rat!" Aladdin exclaimed as he raised both blades and dealt one final quick yet damaging blow. (3)
They had won their battle but Sa'luk wasn't finished yet. With newfound strength and speed, the burly thief rushed past the team of world travellers, grabbed Aladdin and pointed his golden claws at his throat. Aladdin started to struggle but as Sa'luk's grip tightened and the Claws grew closer to his neck, he stopped.
"Aladdin!" Sora exclaimed in worry. He tried to move towards them but Riku held out his arm, stopping him. Sora knew why; this really was a delicate hostage stiuation and they had to be careful.
Sa'luk grinned evilly, knowing he had the advantage and turned to Cassim who looked just as worried as the others. "Give the Hand of Midas to me, Cassim, or your son dies." Sa'luk ordered Cassim.
"What do we do?" Kairi asked worriedly.
"I don't know." Replied Max.
"Just stay calm." Said Riku, noticing Sa'luk had his focus on Cassim but still had an eye on the four of them. "We can't do anything too rash or Aladdin's a goner."
Cassim growled at the dIrtysh trick Sa'luk pulled. "Sa'luk, your battle is with me! Leave my son and his friends out of this!"
Aladdin shook his head the best he could due to his restricted movement. "Don't worry, Dad. We can take him alone."
Cassim shook his head. "But you're not alone, not any more." Knowing what he had to do, Cassim's eyes shone with determination. "You want the Hand of Midas, Sa'luk? Take it!" With that, Cassim used all his strength to throw the Hands of Midas to Sa'luk. Once he saw the treasure was in his grasp, Sa'luk didn't hesitate in releasing Aladdin, pushing him to the side and extending his hand towards the falling treasure. Then, in the next moment, the Hand of Midas was in Sa'luk's hand.
"The Hand of Midas is mine!" Sa'luk exclaimed in victory as he grinned darkly at Cassim. "And also, the life of your brat." But, Cassim appeared to be unfazed, in fact he looked as though he'd won.
Sa'luk then turned to look at Aladdin and the world travellers, noticing that they all had the same expressions of shock on their faces. "What are you staring at?!" Sa'luk demanded with a mix of fear and anger in his voice. Then, he looked at his hand and realized that he wasn't holding the treasure by the handle like the others had; he was holding it by the golden hand.
Sa'luk dropped the Hand of Midas out of shock and fear but it was too late. Right before their eyes Sa'luk himself began to transform into solid gold. Sa'luk screamed in terror but there was nothing that could be done. Sa'luk had become a golden statue thanks to the darkness and greed in his heart. He doomed himself. Then, the team watched as the gold statue fell off the platform and sank deep beneath the water.
After shaking his head in disapproval, Aladdin ripped off one of the sleeves off his shirt, picked up the Hand of Midas and wrapped it up, causing the fabric to instantly turn gold. At that moment, the island shook again. It felt much more violent than before and the water started rising drastically.
"Hurry, everyone! We're running out of time!" Cassim exclaimed.
"No arguments here!" Max said.
"Yeah let's get out of here!" Agreed Kairi. Without anyone else saying a word, the team rushed out of the cavern and started climbing the ladder to the exit. They moved as fast as they could to avoid the oncoming wave of water. Sora could feel his heart pounding his chest as he watched Cassim lag behind thanks to the weight of his gold-transformed cape. But, after unclipping it and letting it fall to the water, it was much easier for him to climb.
Soon enough, the six of them managed to escape and exited out the top of the city. Once they knew they were in the clear, Aladdin took the Hand of Midas out of his sash, unwrapped it and handed it to Cassim.
"After all these years, you finally have your treasure." Aladdin smiled as Cassim took it from his son's hand.
"This thing? No. This wretched thing almost cost me the ultimate treasure." Cassim shook his head and pulled Aladdin into a hug. "It's you, son. You are my ultimate treasure. I'm just sorry it took me this long to realize it."
"Dad." Aladdin smiled as he gladly returned the hug.
Sora and the rest of his team couldn't help but smile. "Good for you, Cassim."
"Yeah, that's a much better route to go." Agreed Riku.
"You definitely sound like a real dad now." Said Max.
Cassim smiled. "Thank you all for helping me realize what it was I truly wanted. The Hand of Midas can take it's curse to the bottom of the sea!" With that, Cassim threw the Hand of Midas towards the sea with all his strength. The group watched as the cursed treasure flew through the sky and sank deep bellow the water.
"And good riddance!" Stated Cassim with a nod.
Kairi smiled in agreement. "I couldn't agree more, Cassim."
Aladdin smiled as the group looked above them, finding Capet and Genie flying above them with the rest of their party, ready to pick them up.
"Let's go home." Aladdin said. "We have some unfinished business." The rest of the team vocalized their agreement as Genie and Carpet picked them up just as the Vanishing Isle sank beneath the sea once again.

The third atempt at Aladdin and Jasmine's wedding went off without any trouble at all, save for Donald's constant comical crying. He hadn't stopped since he found out Cassim threw the Hand of Midas into the ocean. Kairi and West got to be Jasmine's bridesmaids and Sora got to be Aladdin's best man. Genie shed quite a bit of tears. Max and Goofy got time to bond, Mickey spent some time hanging out with the Sultan and Lea fooled around with Abu and Carpet. Donald was still upset over the loss of the treasure but still managed to pig out at the reception while Riku laughed at him. Everyone had a good time and the ceremony truly was magical. Riku even caught the bouquet at the end, which earned him quite a bit of teasing about West from Donald and Lea, leaving both Riku and West to blush madly.
Cassim watched his son start a new life from the shadows and was luckily able to remain hidden from the guards. Iago had chosen to go traveling with Cassim so after a wave goodbye to his son and the team of world-travellers, they left the city.
Too soon, the wedding came to an end as Aladdin and Jasmine prepared to leave for their honeymoon with carpet. But, before they left, they said their final goodbyes as Jasmine hugged Kairi and West and Aladdin and Genie gave Sora the Lamp Charm, which would allow him to summon Genie on their travels.
But, before they left on the Gummi ship, Sora stepped away from his team and made his way to the treasury where the Oracle was placed. The moment Sora got close enough, the Oracle staff started glowing and rose into the air. Sora summoned his keyblade, knowing this was the way to open the gateway as a crown emblem appeared underneath his feet. A beam of light shot out from the Oracle, creating a keyhole. Sora then fired a beam of light from Kingdom Key and shot it into the keyhole, opening the gate.
As the staff descended towards the ground, the Oracle appeared in a flash of light.
"Young Master of the Keyblade. You have chosen your question?" The Oracle asked softly.
"Yes." Sora said as he took a deep breath before asking. "How can we defeat Xehanort once and for all?"
"Do not fear the darkness. The power of light and friendship will be the key. As long as you trust in your allies, you will be able to defeat all thirteen versions of Xehanort." The Oracle replied.
"All thirteen versions of Xehanort?!" Sora questioned in shock. "What do you mean?! There are thirteen Xehanorts?!"
The Oracle shook her head. "I'm sorry, I can only answer one question." She said as she disappeared, leaving Sora to ponder her words. However, he didn't have long to think before Kairi found him and told him they were ready to go to the next world.
