James Potter

Two weeks passed since the tryouts and soon the first match of Quidditch was getting closer. Jason had returned from visiting his mother and had agreed on the choices we made at the Quidditch tryouts. Lily and Roxanne were both great chasers and adjusted with the team just fine. The rumors about Alexa and I continued though we kept on denying it. The reason I think they continued was because we haven't had a proper fight since we decided to be friends.

"Again!" Jason Wood shouted at us as we practiced. Jason was known for pushing the team as hard as he could. The season was going to start soon and we needed to be at our best.

I was improving my Wronski Feint tactic. The idea of it is simple all I have to do is pretend I spotted the snitch and dive hoping the other seeker will follow. The last second before reaching the ground, the feinting seeker pulls out of a dive, usually causing the opposing seeker to crash. It's brilliant!

"Watch it!" I yelled as I dodged a bludger.

"Sorry," Fred shouted before continuing hitting bludgers.

I continued practicing and completely dominated the Wronski Faint. Albus wouldn't see this coming. I smiled at the thought of beating my brother. The first time we played against each other he won and the second time I won.

"All right team," Jason said after one more hour of practicing. "That's it for today."

They all headed to the locker rooms while I stayed and practiced a little more. I started flying upward wanting to push my Nimbus 2015 to its limit.

Most people judge me because I am still using the broom I used in my first year but I don't care, the broom gave me my first ever Quidditch victory. It was the only match I played that year. The seeker of the team injured both of his legs three days before the match and wasn't going to be able to play so I had to play in his place. The match was against Hufflepuff which was the weakest team (still is).

I continued flying getting higher and higher feeling the wind against me then when I felt like I couldn't breathe I stopped. I descended rapidly actually too fast which made me separate from my broom.

"Shit," I cursed as my broom fell a little faster than I did. I placed my arms closer to my body and aimed for my broom soon I saw the Quidditch field getting closer and closer.

"James!" I heard Alexa yell though she looked like an ant to me.

Soon I was extending my hand reaching for my nimbus. I finally managed to get a hold of it and got on top of it. I pushed my broom upwards just in time and was saved from being squashed. "That was the biggest Wroski Faint I think I've ever done." I murmured then landed on the ground.

"James Potter!" I heard Alexa shouting angrily. She looked like she was going to explode if she wasn't out to kill me I would've laughed. She punched my chest and started cursing at me.

"Calm down!" I told her as I grabbed her arms.

"You idiot I thought you were going to die!" She screamed once again.

I simply hugged her trying to calm her down. After a few minutes of hugging she finally stopped fighting and slowly pushed me away from her.

"So you care about me?" I smirked which made me receive a hard slap on my face.

"You almost gave me a heart attack idiot!" she snapped. "Don't ever do that again."

"I won't," I told her as I rubbed my right cheek. "I promise."

"Good," she smiled. "Sorry for slapping you."

"No problem," I said with my hand still on my cheek. "Thanks for worrying."

"Well, you're my friend," she said.

"Yeah I guess friends worry and slap each other," I joked.

"You're crazy," she said then left the pitch.

I watched her leave and smiled for no reason. What is happening to me?! I mean, I don't know if someone poured some love potion on my juice or something but recently Alexa Malfoy made me feel so…strange. Was I attracted to her? I mean she's beautiful and had an incredible personality but I mean she's…Alexa Malfoy.

"This can't be happening," I blurted out.

I'm James Potter, aka ladies man Potter, the boy who would date a girl for a few weeks then dump her. Yes, I felt attracted to women before but Alexa for some reason made me feel different.

"That was something," said Lily behind me.

"You saw?" I asked my little sister.

"All of it," she smiled. "I was going to yell at you from the stands but Alexa beat me to it and besides I knew you weren't going to kill yourself."

"How so?" I raised my eyebrow at my sister.

"You can fly," she said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Right," I mumbled.

"She really cares about you James," Lily told me. "I mean she may not realize it yet but she just proved it."

"What?" I asked her not exactly knowing what she was saying.

"Stop acting like an idiot," she ordered me. Lily may be the youngest of the Potter family but sometimes she seemed to mature for her age. She was a lot like my mother.

"Don't call me an idiot Lils," I complained.

"Fine," she said as she placed her arms on her chest. "Anyway, Alexa cares for you and I am sure you do to."

"Why do you think that?" I asked her trying to read her blank expression.

"It's easy," she answered. "The way you look at her. Your eyes almost look like they're shining when you see her and the sudden change of attitude around her. Something is definitely going on with your feelings toward her."

"You're crazy Lils," I told her then walked towards the locker room.

I turned on the shower and walked in. Was Lily right? Was I really falling for Alexa? I know I've acted differently recently but that doesn't mean I am falling for her, right? Yes, I do think she is pretty and fun to be around. I love the way she smells and when she smiles it makes my stomach jump or something.

"Bloody hell," I blurted out. "I am falling for Alexa Malfoy."

So James just realised that he's attracted to Alexa Malfoy...nobody saw that coming (Sarcasm? Where?). Anyway tell me what you think in your review and I'll update as soon as I can! School's got me a bit busy but that's no reason to stop updating so until next time guys!
