Hey there you guys! Looks like this is the last chapter for Islands of Paradise. I've really enjoyed this world, it was my absolute favourite movie as a kid, heck I can even do a Stitch voice! I really hope you liked this world as well and enjoy the finale of this world!
Chapter 60: Spaceship Battle
As Gantu's space ship flew over the world, Lydia, Dragon, Naminé and Lilo were trapped in the glass container at the back of the ship. The island was visible beneath them but none of them could enjoy the view. Lydia, for one was punching and kicking at the glass angrily while the other three watched her in a mixture of surprise and concern.
"Ugh! I can't believe I got caught like that! Come on! You stupid alien cage!" Lydia snarled and shouted as she continued trying to break the glass but was unable to make even a dent. "Let me out! You can't keep me contained!"
"Lydia, calm down." Spoke up Dragon. "You've been at this since we flew off the ground, if you keep this up, you're going to hurt yourself."
Lydia turned and glared at him. "Oh shut up Dragon! I'm going to get out of this stupid thing! Come on! Just break already! How am I supposed to win my bet with Axel-Lea now?!"
With that, Dragon shut his mouth and allowed Lydia to continue her assault on the glass.
Lilo had remained quiet ever since Stich escaped from their cage and was looking down and her shoes sadly. Naminé noticed this and moved closer towards the little girl.
"Lilo?" Naminé asked. "Are you okay?"
The black-haired girl shook her head. "No. I'm not okay. I thought I finally found someone who could be my friend. Someone who liked being with me. But Stitch betrayed me. He was just using me to hide from the bigger aliens. He only revealed himself cuz he couldn't use me anymore."
Naminé shook her head. "It might have started out that way, but I don't think that's the case now." The former nobody said. "If he was just using you to hide, he could have just left when those two aliens showed up at the house. He didn't have to stay and help Roxas and the others fight. I think the real reason Stitch revealed his alien form to you was because he trusted you."
"And I told him to leave." Realized Lilo sadly. "Some friend I am for returning that trust."
"Uh, Lilo honey I think you can feel guilty later." Lydia said as she gazed in awe to the clouds. "It looks like we've got company." Dragon, Naminé and Lilo immediately turned to the direction Lydia was facing and sure enough, the gypsy was right. Right in front of their eyes, a giant red space ship emerged out of the clouds. Standing on top of it was Stitch, Roxas, Xion, Myde, Kyra, Rusty and Oswald and through the windshield, on the inside if the ship, they could see Jumba at the controls with a nervous Nani and Pleakly on either side of him.
Standing beside Roxas, Stitch raised his arm and gave Lilo a small wave. Lilo couldn't help but smile and waved back.

"Can I just say that I think this a really bad idea!?" Exclaimed Myde from his position beside Xion.
"You said that thirty times already!" Snapped Kyra. "We're doing this wether you like it or not!" Rusty barked in agreement while Myde slumped in defeat.
Roxas nodded towards Stitch. "Yeah! Our friends need our help."
"Ih! Help Lilo!" Agreed Stitch.
At that moment, the spaceship's intercom switched on and Jumba's voice filled the sky. "Hello? 626? Are you and your little friends hearing Jumba?"
"Loud and clear!" Exclaimed Oswald.
"Meega hear too!" Stitch added.
"Excellent! We are now ready to begin rescue!" Said Jumba. "I will fly you right beside ship, you will take care of Captain Gantu. Then, break container, free friends then we land. Easy peasy, right?"
Then, Pleakly started shouting on the intercom. "No not easy peasy! This is really a bad bad idea!"
"Thank you!" Myde exclaimed. "Why aren't we listening to the obviously reasonable alien?!"
Xion put a reassuring hand on Myde's shoulder. "Don't worry, Myde. We can do this." She said but Myde still pouted.
"Okay, Jumba. I think we're ready to go!" Said Roxas.
"Okie dokie! Is show time!" Jumba exclaimed as the spaceship started moving closer towards Gantu's ship.
Nani's voice emerged from the intercom next. "Just make sure Lilo's safe."
"Don't worry, Nani. We'll bring her inside as soon as we get her out." Reassured Kyra. With that, the spaceship picked up speed until they were side by side with Gantu's ship. With that, Stitch dove into action. With his fists raised, he broke through the windshield and landed on the ship's control panel in front of Gantu.
"Aloha!" Stitch exclaimed.
"What?!" Gantu gasped in shock at the sight of Stitch. Then, his expression shifted to an engaged snarl. "You little trog! How did you get out of that?!" The giant alien exclaimed as he clenched his fist and swung towards Stitch.
But, before Gantu could hit him, Stitch gabbed his fist ith his strong, small arms. "Meega cute and fluffy!" With that, Stitch effortlessly threw Gantu out the glass windshield.
Roxas and the group gave Stich a nod as they rushed to the back of Gantu's ship while still standing on the roof of Jumba's ship. Stitch, in the meantime, crawled along the side of the pilotless ship until he reached the glass cage where Lilo, Lydia, Naminé and Dragon were being held. Roxas, Xion, Myde, Kyra, Rusty and Oswald stood at the ready, prepared to catch their friends.
At that moment, Stitch reached the glass container and with one powerful headbutt, a large hole appeared in the glass. Stitch then reached inside the container and pulled Naminé out then threw her towards the group below. Roxas caught her in his arms bridal style with no effort. Then, Stitch pulled Dragon out next. Kyra and Myde caught him. Then, Lydia was pulled out and caught by Xion and Oswald.
Lastly, Stitch pulled Lilo out and held her in his arms. "You came back." She smiled.
"Nobody gets left behind." Stitch nodded as he jumped off the ship just before it exploded and landed on Jumba's ship with the others.
"All right!" Roxas exclaimed. "That's what I call a successful mission!"
"Yeah, I knew this was a good idea!" Boasted Myde while Kyra and Rusty both face palmed.
Lilo smiled up at the group of world travellers. "Thank you so much for coming back for me."
"Of course we had to." Said Xion. "You're our friend too."
"Ih!" Stitch agreed. "Lilo friend and Ohana!"
Lilo smiled at the little blue alien and tightly hugged him.
"Hate to break up this little reunion, but I have a duty to bring Experiment 626 into custody." Gantu's voice boomed from behind the group. The team spun around, finding Gantu standing before them with his blaster pointed at them.
"What?!" Myde exclaimed. "How did you land on the ship?!"
"That is of no importance. Now step aside while I take 626." Gantu snarled while he took a step towards the group. Roxas and Lilo didn't waste a moment in defensively standing in front of Stitch.
"You're not taking Stitch anywhere!" Lilo exclaimed.
"That's right!" Roxas said. "We won't let you hurt our friend!"
Gantu growled at the blond boy. "So, you intend to stand in my way just as you did all those years ago? Well, I won't let you get away this time Ventus!"
"My name is Roxas! Sorry to dissapoint you but I don't know who this Ventus or Ven person is!"
"Is that so?" Gantu raised an eyebrow. "Well then whoever you are, prepare to meet the same fate as Experiment 626!" With that, Gantu fired at the group. The team jumped out if the way just in time.
"We have to get Lilo out of here!" Exclaimed Naminé.
Kyra nodded in agreement as she drew her bow and arrow. "Right. Naminé, Myde, Lydia, take Lilo inside the ship. We'll take care of things out here!"
"No arguments here, honey!" Lydia agreed. With that, Lydia picked up Lilo and followed Myde and Naminé back inside the ship. This left Stitch, Roxas, Oswald, Xion, Dragon, Kyra and Rusty to stand against Gantu with their weapons ready. Once the others had entered the hatch, the inercom switched on again.
"Hello my friends!" Jumba exclaimed. "You must keep Gantu busy while I try and find a place to land!"
"And keep in mind with this much weight the ship's very delicate!" Spoke up Pleakly. "You can't have him damage the ship too much."
Nani's voice spoke up next. "And remember to be careful."
"Roger that!" Said Oswald.
"Okay! Prepare to face defeat, alien!" Exclaimed Dragon as he pointed his blade at Gantu.
"I will say the same about you!" Gantu growled.
With that, the battle began. Gantu started off by firing his blaster directly at Stitch but was blocked by Oswald's keyblade. The rabbit then counteracted with a thunder spell which hit Gantu directly. Kyra and Rusty followed by rushing towards Gantu at full speed. The roof of the spaceship was anything but ideal for their battle; it was slippery at times and Jumba wasn't the best pilot. Kyra fired a cluster of arrows in Gantu's direction but blocked them with his blaster. Rusty used Gantu's distraction to his advantage and hit the tall alien with a fire spell. With an opening ready, Stitch prepared to attack Gantu.
"Aloha!" Stitch exclaimed as he barred his claws and rushed towards Gantu. He swiped at him multiple times, causing considerable damage. Then, Stich reached behind his back and pulled out a ukeleili. Stitch strummed a few chords on his ukeleili, summoning sound waves. The sound waves hit Gantu and surrounded his teammates. While the soundwaves attacked Gantu, they healed his teammates. "Meega nala kweesta!" With one final strum on the ukeleili, Gantu was knocked off his feet by a powerful soundwave.(1)
As Stitch's ukeleili dissapeared, Roxas dove in with a powerful strike from his keyblade. Xion followed in with a blizzard spell from her own blade. But Gantu dodged the blast and fired his blaster, hitting Stitch. Xion quickly tossed Stitch a potion, healing him. Snarling at Xion's action, Gantu attempted to stomp on Stitch, but he jumped out of the way just in time. But that left just the opening Dragon needed.
"No more!" Dragon exclaimed as he raised Steel Slayer. Once raised, the blade became coated in flames. Dragon then rushed towards Gantu and slashed at him, causing massive damage both with the blade and and the fire. After a few slashes, Dragon raised Steel Slayer and the fire on the blade raised into the air and transformed into the same dragon that was on his shirt. The dragon released a roar as Dragon pointed his blade as Gantu. "You're just asking to get sliced aren't ya?" Then, just at that moment Dragon's blade and the flame dragon both attacked, causing an intense amount of damage. (2)
After Dragon's attack, both Stitch and Roxas attacked simulateously, dealing the finishing blow and sending Gantu to his knees. It was at that moment that Jumba landed the ship on the beach. Once they had landed, Jumba, Pleakly, Nani, Lilo, Naminé, Myde and Lydia emerged out of the ship while the others jumped off the roof of it.
"Nice flying, Jumba." Complimented Oswald.
"Uh, are you really calling that nice flying?" Dragon asked. "I thought we were going to fall off for a second there."
Jumba released a chuckle. "Bah, my flying is good enough."
Nani shook her head as she and Lilo approached Stitch. "So, outer space huh?" Nani asked. "And here I thought you were somekind of mutant koala."
But then, at that moment, Stitch was grabbed by the scruff of his neck by a dinosaur-shaped alien in a white guard uniform.
"We have 626!" The guard exclaimed as he held Stitch towards a blue-skinned regal-looking alien dressed in black and yellow robes. This was none other than the Grand Councilwoman, head of the galactic council who, like Gantu had been hunting Stitch for the past twelve years.
"Take him to my ship." The Grand Councilwoman ordered. The guard nodded and carried Stitch to the entrance of a nearby large yellow egg-shaped spaceship.
"Leave him alone!" Lilo exclaimed as she started storming towards the Grand Councilwoman. But, she was stopped by Cobra Bubbles who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
Cobra shook his head. "Hold on. Don't do anything too crazy." He said. At that moment, Gantu moved down from his position on the ship and approached the Grand Councilwoman with a worried look on his face.
"Grand Councilwoman, let me explain." Gantu pleaded.
"Silence!" The Grand Councilwoman snapped. "I am retiring you, Captain Gantu!" Gantu looked down at her with shock in his eyes and his jaw dropped. The Grand Councilwoman pointed towards her ship and Gantu slicked inside.
Pleakly slowly approached the Grand Councilwoman. "Actually, credit for the capture-" He started to say nervously.
"-Goes to me." The Grand Councilwoman interrupted as she glared at Jumba and Pleakly. "You two will be lucky to be sentenced to life in exhile after this disaster."
Jumba nervously looked away. "Uhh, I am thinking that-"
"-You?! You're the cause of all this!" The Grand Councilwoman shouted. "If it wasn't for your experiment 626 none of this-"
"-Stitch." Stitch interrupted.
The Grand Councilwoman turned around and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What?"
"My name Stitch."
"Stitch then." She said. "If it wasn't for Stitch-" She then turned to look back at Stitch with her eyebrow still raised.
"Does Stitch have to go in the ship?" Stitch asked.
The Grand Councilwoman continued to look at him with confusion still in her eyes. "Yes."
"Can Stitch say goodbye?"
"Y-yes." She nodded.
"Thank you." Stitch said as he approached Lilo and Nani and hugged Lilo. Then, he moved to Roxas and the rest of the world travellers and hugged Roxas's legs.
The Grand Councilwoman slowly approached them. "Who are you?"
Stitch looked up at her. "This is my family. I found it all on my own. Is little and broken but still good. Yeah. Still good. I even found friends." Stitch then reached behind his back and pulled out a star-shaped charm made out of various spaceship parts. "Rock-sas, Nami-nee, She-on, Myde, Oz-wald, Dragon, Kyra, Rusty, Leed-ee-a, Terra, Ven, Akoo-wa, Jumba, Pleakly, Nani, Lilo and Sora. I made lots of friends. I am happy for that."
With one last smile, Stitch willingly walked towards the spaceship with the wayfinder still in his hands.
As the group watched him walk, Pleakly turned towards the Grand Councilwoman. "Does he really have to go?" He asked.
The Grand Councilwoman released a sigh. "You know as well as I that our laws are absolute. I cannot change what the council has decided."
"Really?" Lydia asked with concern. "We can't do anything?"
"There has to be something." Said Xion.
Oswald shook his head. "Unfortunately we can't interfere. This is their world's laws, were just passing through."
Cobra turned to Lilo. "Lilo, didn't you buy that thing at the shelter?"
Immediately, Lilo reached into her pocket and pulled out a pink sheet of paper. Then, she rushed towards the Grand Councilwoman and held out the paper towards her. "Hey!" She exclaimed as the Grand Councilwoman looked down towards her. "Three days ago, I bought Stitch at the shelter. I paid two dollars for him. See this stamp? I own him. If you take him, you're stealing." The Grand Councilwoman examined the paper, then smiled.
"Aliens are all about rules." Cobra said.
The Grand Councilwoman looked closely at Cobra. "You look familiar."
"CIA. Roswell. 1973." Cobra replied.
"Ah yes. You had hair then." She nodded as she picked Stitch up. "Take note of this; this creature is sentenced to life in exhile and is to carry out his sentence here on earth." She said as she set Stitch down in between Nani and Lilo. "And, as caretaker of the alien lifeform, Stitch, this family is now under the protection of the United Galactic Federation."
"Does that mean you're really letting Stitch stay?" Naminé asked hopefully.
The Grand Councilwoman nodded. "Yes. This does seem to be the best place for him. It appears she was right all those years ago; he did succeed in making friends. She would have loved to hear that."
"This is great!" Dragon smiled but then his face fell as he turned to Cobra. "Wait, you aren't still planning on taking Lilo away from Nani, are you?"
Cobra shook his head. "No. Nani's proven herself to be very determined. I can't think of a better place for Lilo. But, this whole thing with Stitch won't be easy to explain back at headquarters."
The Grand Councilwoman gave a small chuckle and a nod. "Ah, I know what you mean." Then, she turned to her guard. "Don't let Jumba and Pleakly get on my ship.
At that moment, Stitch's wayfinder began to glow and fly into the sky. Knowing what he had to do, Roxas summoned his keyblade and pointed it at the wayfinder. A crown emblem appeared underneath his feet as a beam of light shot out above the wayfinder and formed a keyhole in the sky. Roxas then shot a beam of light out of the tip of his keyblade and into the keyhole, opening the gate to the next world.
"What was that?" Lilo asked curiously.
"Means it's time for us to be going." Said Oswald.
"You're all leaving already?" Pleakly asked.
Roxas nodded sadly. "Yeah. We have other places we have to go."
"Well, on that note, it's time for me to go too." The Grand Councilwoman said as she started walking towards her ship. That weapon. She thought. It was the same as she used. Aqua. I wonder how she's faring these days.
As the Grand Councilwoman's ship blasted off, the team of world travellers said their goodbyes to both the humans and aliens. But, just before they left, Jumba approached Xion.
"Best of luck in your travels, my friends. Here, I believe one of my other creations will help." Jumba said as he put a summon charm in her hands. It was a yellow charm with a blue circle with the number 221 on it. It was known as the Experiment Charm.
"Thank you so much, Jumba." Xion said as she pocketed the charm. "This will help a lot."
"Is my pleasure." Said Jumba. "And if you be seeing fellow named Terra with same weapon as you, tell him Jumba knows he was right about 626 - eh, Stitch."
Xion raised an eyebrow in confusion, but nodded anyway. "Okay, I will."
"Bye Rock-sas." Said Stitch as he hugged Roxas as he knelt down to hug him back.
"Bye Stitch." Roxas smiled. "It was nice to meet you for myself. Take care of yourself and your new Ohana, okay?"
Stitch nodded. "Ih! Rock-sas take care of Ohana too! Say hi to Sora!"
"Don't worry, I will." Roxas said as he and his team started making their way back to their Gummi ship. "Bye everyone!"
"Bye you guys!" Waved Lilo. "Visit us again soon!"
What the team of world travellers didn't know was that on the cliffside above them, Repliku was watching them with a snarl. As the team walked towards their ship, he saw that Roxas and Naminé had grown closer and had even started holding hands during their walk. Repliku clenched his fist just as a corridor of darkness appeared beside him and Alarium stepped out.
"Enjoying the view from a distance?" Alarium asked with a smirk, noticing he was looking at Naminé and Roxas specifically.
"What does that ex-nobody have that I don't?" Snarled Repliku. "I'd do anything to protect Naminé and he just strolls in and claims her for himself. I'll destroy both him and Riku."
Alarium put a hand on Repliku's shoulder. "You'll get your chance in time. Then, you can claim Naminé for your own and become your own person. You will, I promise you. But right now, Master Xehanort requires his vessels."
"Ugh. Fine." Repliku said. "Let's go." With that, both Repliku and Alarium dissapeared through the dark corridor.
