Kagome spent the next few days away from him and with her daughter, learning as much as she could about her, her daughter was smart and knew her mother was avoiding her father.

"Mother are you really going to see Kouga."

"Well sure, why not he is a friend."

Her daughter's face faltered,

"Would you be mad at me if I want to have another baby?" Kagome then asked.

"What, why would be mad?!"

"It's just that I didn't get to see you or Shippo grow up and soon you two will be mated and having kids."

"Not for some years yet mother."

"I was pregnant with you at your age pretty much" Kagome fiddled with her dress fabric.

"I'd much rather have a little brother" Sarah smiled as they kicked their feet in the water.

"I am surprised your father hasn't any more children."

"Father wants more."

"I know."

"Why-

"Sarah" She whispered,

"Mother?"

Kagome looked at her "I know what your thinking and want, it was my same thoughts I had at one time."

"But mother father wants you here."

"I can't be the other woman."

"But your not"

"But someday I will be"

"He would never-

"He wants more children; oddly I think he was waiting for me to tell him it's ok, I won't be that girl, I already played that part with Inuyasha and Kikyo."

Tears formed in her daughter's eyes,

"But mother you love him."

Kagome looked up "I loved him"

"No, you love him I know, I see it."

Kagome smiled "I will always love him, he gave me you."

"Doesn't that mean something?"

"It means everything."

"Kagome?"

The girls looked back to see Shippo; he was back "Are you ready?"

Kagome stood up "Let me grab some stuff and tell Sesshomaru."

Kagome went looking for Sesshomaru and found him in the training area, shirtless and sweating,

"Sesshomaru"

"What" He bit out swinging his sword,

"Um, Shippo is here, we are leaving."

He said nothing but kept moving his sword,

She bit her lip, and her heart fluttered, she wished he would say something,

"As you wish Miko, you do not need my permission."

Kagome bowed "My Lord."

"Don't," He said, gripping his sword,

She stood "What?"

"You have never offered your respect to me, do not do it now, it only angers me."

"Well fine then you jerk!" She spun around and raced to her room to grab her change of clothes,

"Mother?"

Sarah could feel her aura crack from the gardens,

"I'm sorry," She said, "I'm ok."

"No your not."

Sesshomaru made his way in and heard them talking, he reeled in his aura but not before his daughter felt him, he backed up.

"I'm fine, and I'll be back in a few days."

"Mother" Sarah begged,

Tears filled in Kagome eyes "It must have been love, no I know it was, but Sarah it's over now, please don't."

"Don't say that!"

Kagome placed her hand on her daughter's cheek then left the room and quickly raced down the hall and out the door to Shippo.

"Father!" She begged,

"Sarah"

"Go after her!" She pointed,

"Enough," He said,

"No!"

"Seraphina" He warned,

"How could you be so cold, how could she ever love you when you so mean to her!"

He growled, and his aura rushed out to push against her aura, it overpowered her, and she knelt down with a whimper. He stopped "Perhaps you forget your station, daughter."

"Forgive me father" She whispered, but her tears fell to the floor, and it took ever once in him not to cave to her request.
