THANKS TO ALL WHO SUPPORT THIS STORY! IT MEANS ALOT!
Please remember to review at end! :)
He traced her bare back, as she lay on her stomach, and loved the texture of the smoothness of her back. He traced the visible white lines, and sighed with remorse. No one should ever have hurt this creature.
Caroline turned her head on her arms to the left to watch him, and smiled sadly. "They don't hurt anymore." She whispered, seeing the pain in his eyes.
"You should never have been hurt to begin with, Caroline." He whispered, tracing the lines with his fingers.
She closed her eyes, and sighed. "Some said I deserved it." She whispered, opening her eyes when he stilled his hands.
"No one deserves this, love, especially not you." He stated, roughly.
She sighed, and turned over on her side, feeling his hand move to her waist. "It's done, Klaus, and without it, I wouldn't have made it this far. They made me stronger." She replied, tenderly.
He smiled, and nodded. "Yeah, stronger, except no one can touch you, still." He replied, searching her eyes.
She smiled, and scooted closer to him. "You can." She whispered, sitting up, to place her left hand on his bare chest.
He chuckled, and his arms wrapped around her person, to drag her closer to his body. "Yes, I can, and it makes me wonder." He whispered, kissing the top of her head. "Why is that?" He asked, looking down at her smiling face.
She pulled back, and watched him scoot to the back of the headboard, and caught his eyes. "Don't you know?" She asked in a low whisper.
He smiled, and shook his head. "Tell me, love." He whispered, in a slight demanding tone.
She smiled, and dipped her head. "I care about you, Klaus, and for the first time in my life, I feel safe." She stated, lifting her head with a teary smile.
He lifted his right hand, and caressed her cheek, tenderly. "I care about you too, Caroline, and I promise you; no one will ever hurt you again." He whispered strongly.
She smiled and leaned into his hand. "I know." She whispered, taking his thumb into her mouth, and gently sucking on it.
He inhaled deeply, and closed his eyes for a moment. "Love…" He trailed off, with a moan.
She smiled, releasing his thumb, and crawled up to him. Lifting her leg, she straddled him, and placed her hands on his chest. His right hand traveled to her bare hip, and began making circles on it.
"I trust you, Klaus." She whispered, leaning forward, gently kissing his lips.
"And I trust you, Caroline." He whispered, in return, causing her to still for a moment. "What is it?" He asked when she pulled away.
She averted her gaze, and bit her bottom lip. She knew she should tell him, but was now the perfect time? How could she tell him, she was a Marshal? How would he react?
She didn't know the answers, and part of her didn't want to know. She truly cared for him, and to hurt him like this would hurt her worse than anything her father ever did to her.
She felt a hand on her face, and she slowly turned her head back to face him.
"What is it?" He asked, again, watching her face fill with pain.
"Love me, Klaus." She whispered, leaning forward. "Love me, hard." She whispered, crushing her lips on his.
Klaus opened his mouth wider, and accepted her tongue in his mouth. He tilted his head, and allowed it to go deeper, as she did the same.
They released moans as his right hand threaded through her blonde hair, while his left hand grasped her hips.
Her fingers drew on his chest, and she felt him gently roll them over, to where she was pushed into the mattress.
He pulled up for a moment, and caught her eyes. He didn't say a word as he studied her. She was breathtaking with her blonde hair sprawled out around like an angel.
"You're an angel." He whispered, touching her face softly.
She smiled, and moved her left hand up his chest to his face, and softly caressed it. Gently she pulled his head down, and kissed him with tender passion.
His right hand moved into her hair, as his mouth continued to devour hers. He shifted his body over hers, and felt her legs wrap around his waist. He smiled into her lips, and felt her smile in return when he pushed forward.
They moaned in unison, and her hand moved down his bare back.
Slowly, they began to rock together on the bed. He lifted his head to gaze into her eyes. The light shining out of her eyes caused him to catch his breathe.
Her legs moved down his waist, and back up with each thrust he made.
She arched her back, bringing her skin up to his. She moaned out loud, and held on tight. Klaus began to move faster, and sweat began to form on their skins.
The sounds of their panting filled the room as well as the mattress moving on the bed.
Klaus groaned as he felt her tightening around him. He groaned louder, and arched his hips downward, causing him to go deeper.
"Oh!" She screamed, clawing at his back.
He moaned, and captured her lips with his. They kissed until they could no longer hold back their groans, and screams of ecstasy.
Klaus collapsed on top of Caroline, and felt her arms surround him. She turned her head, and kissed his cheek softly. He lifted his head, and smiled at her. Lowering his head, he kissed her tenderly.
She smiled into his mouth, before he pulled back, to gaze at her. She was even more beautiful. He searched her eyes, and smiled.
She moved her right hand down to his left shoulder to the tattoo on his shoulder. "You never told me what this means." She whispered, lifting her eyes to his.
He smiled, levered himself on his forearms. "I got it after Henrik was killed. He always loved birds and feathers, said they reminded him of freedom." He replied, with a touch of sadness.
She smiled, and turned her head to kiss his shoulder. She laid her head back down, and gazed up at him. She watched as his gaze trailed down to the necklace around her neck. He tilted his head to the left and traced it with his right pointer finger.
"It was my mother's." She whispered, watching him lift his gaze. "She gave it to me before she died." She replied, sadly.
She moved her arms down to caress the locket, and opened it for him to look inside. "I put the picture in after…I left." She whispered, brokenly.
Klaus studied the woman in the photo. He could tell she was Caroline's mother. They had the same features, and both were very beautiful. He could see the smile on Caroline's mom's face was the same as the woman in front of him, so full of light and love.
"She's beautiful." He whispered, lifting his gaze to hers once more.
She smiled and nodded. "She was the most beautiful woman I ever knew." She replied, feeling him close the locket.
"Like mother, like daughter." He whispered, with a faint smile. "For you are the most beautiful woman, I've ever known." He added in a whisper, kissing her softly on the lips.
She smiled and returned the kiss with passion. When he pulled back, he noticed tears falling down the sides of her face. Softly, he wiped the tears away with his fingers from his right hand, and his brow furrowed.
"No one has ever called me beautiful before." She whispered, watching his face soften.
He shook his head. "Then they don't deserve you, love." He stated, fervently.
She smiled at his words, and caressed his face with her right hand. "It's hard to believe that this is the same man, who killed another just two days ago in cold blood." She whispered, shaking her head against the pillow.
He smiled, and dipped his head. "What can I say? I'm different when I'm with you." He replied, capturing her lips with his in a slow passionate kiss.
She giggled, and wrapped her arms around his neck to hold him to her. In the back of her mind, she knew that difference would not matter when he found out the truth about her. As his lips moved over hers, she moaned.
She knew when he found out the truth, he would kill her. As he pulled up and she caught the emotion in his eyes, she knew she had to tell him.
Just not at this moment.
They had just taken a step further in their budding romance, if she went so far to call it that. She told him about her past, something she never told anybody, who didn't already know, and he told her about his. They were open with each other, and she knew it was only a matter of time before she had to tell him.
She had just spent two months getting to know him, and getting one step closer to finding the Hybrid, but in the process she let her heart burst wide open, and accept a man who had killed so many, and yet she didn't care.
He was different with her, and she accepted that. She was different with him, and that too she accepted.
With a smile, she let her feelings roam wild. "I'll do it." She whispered, firmly.
He narrowed his eyes, and gazed into her eyes. "Do what?" He asked, shaking his head.
She fingered his tattoo, and smiled. "I want a tattoo." She answered, searching his eyes. "I want one that you designed, and I want you to be the one to do it." She stated, firmly.
Klaus' eyes widened slightly, but the smile on his face filled her soul. "It might hurt, Caroline." He said, huskily.
She shrugged. "You wouldn't hurt me." She replied, knowing he wouldn't, at least not yet.
He smiled and shook his head. "No, I wouldn't." He remarked, tenderly. "I never could." He added, touching her face.
She smiled, and arched her hips underneath his. "I believe you." She whispered, cocking her brow.
He shook his head, and chuckled before moaning, as he was still inside her. They heard a door close downstairs, and Klaus growled as he stilled his hips from moving.
She frowned, and he cocked his head, sending her a glare. "Someone's downstairs, love." He whispered, kissing her lips quickly, attempting to move away from her.
Caroline shook her head, and wrapped her legs around his waist, stopping him from moving. She smiled at the look on his face.
"Caroline, we need to move." He replied, suspecting who the person was, and not really wanting to give him any ammo against him.
She smiled and held him tighter. "Live dangerously." She whispered against his lips.
He chuckled, and kissed her, his hips beginning to move down in a thrusting movement. He was powerless against her at this moment, and he wasn't complaining.
"I always do." He whispered, before letting out a small moan at the pleasure shooting through his body.
She let out a small laugh, which turned into a moan, as she arched her back underneath him.
"Nik, stop fucking whoever you got in there! We can hear you all the way downstairs!" A voice came from the other side of the door, followed by continuous knocks.
Klaus growled, as he stopped in mid-pleasure, and grabbed his 9 millimeter weapon from the night stand beside his bed, and fired behind him at the door.
Caroline gasped, but then let out a giggle, as she realized he fired at the top of the door, missing deliberately above where Kol's head would have been.
Hurried footsteps and cussing faded down the stairs, and Caroline let out a rambunctious laugh.
"I don't think Kol will ever come back up here, now." She replied, in between her laughter.
Klaus smiled and shrugged. "Serves him right." He replied, placing the gun back on the night stand. "Now, where were we?" He asked, smiling down at her.
She laughed, and wrapped her arms around his neck, running her fingers through his hair. "Here" She whispered, and they began to pick up where they left off.
They spent the rest of the day in the comfort of each other's arms, both knowing when the sun rose the next morning they would have to face the repercussions of their new relationship.
~XXX~
Caroline sat up on the bed, and threw her legs over the side of the bed. Night had fallen once again, and she couldn't believe that she had spent the entire day in bed with Klaus. She couldn't believe it. She smiled as she turned her head, and gazed at the sleeping man on the other side of her. He was so handsome, and looked so peaceful just lying there.
Standing up, she bent over and grabbed her pants and his shirt, and slipped them both on. She glanced once more at Klaus, and smiled as she tip-toed across the room, and opened the door quietly. Slipping out, she headed down the stairs, and towards the kitchen. After an entire day in bed, she needed some food.
Opening the fridge, after turning on the light in the kitchen, she found a cup of yogurt. She reached forward, and grasped it. Searching through the kitchen, she found a spoon, and leaned against the counter. Opening the yogurt, she scooped up some on the spoon, and began to eat.
Bowing her head, she realized that a few months ago, it would have been absurd to spend an entire night or even an entire day in bed with a man. Now, it was wonderful.
She turned her head when she heard footsteps coming close to the kitchen. She smiled as she saw the familiar shape of a young boy enter the kitchen. He stopped halfway, and swallowed.
"Hello, Joey." She replied, kindly, with a smile.
"Hello, Ms. Caroline." He whispered, bowing his head.
She finished up her yogurt, and placed the spoon in the sink, and dropped the empty cup in the trash. "What are you doing up this late?" She asked, turning to see him fidget on his feet.
"I was thirsty." He whispered, nervously.
She smiled, and approached him, carefully. "Well, we'll just have to see about that." She replied, holding out her right hand. "What would you like?" She asked, waiting for him to place his hand in hers.
Joey smiled and lifted his eyes to hers. "Do you have any milk?" He asked, quietly.
She furrowed her brow in curiosity, and turned towards the fridge. "Well, let's see if we do." She replied, leading him towards the fridge.
Opening the door, she smiled as she found the milk, and motioned towards him. "How about you grab the milk, and I'll get us a couple of glasses?" She asked, motioning towards the milk.
Joey smiled brightly, and nodded emphatically. "Okay." He stated, with excitement.
She smiled, and turned and searched the cabinets for a couple of glasses. Finding them, she turned and found Joey placing the milk on a small table on the other side of the kitchen. "Here we are." She replied, placing the glasses on the table. "Why don't you pour us some?" She asked, tenderly.
Joey nodded, and unsnapped the lid on the milk, and poured some in her glass, and moved the milk over to his glass, spilling some on the table.
His eyes grew like saucers, and he began to shake in fear. "I'm…I'm…I'm so…sorry." He stuttered, stepping back.
Caroline shook her head, and took the milk from his trembling hands. "Hey, it's alright." She whispered, smiling, kneeling in front of him. "It was an accident, Joey." She whispered, touching his face lightly. "Accidents happen, sweetie. It's just spilt milk." She added, smiling tenderly.
Joey nodded, and smiled faintly. "Thank you." He whispered, faintly.
She smiled, and wiped her thumb over his tear stained cheek. "Now, would you want to see if we can find some cookies to go with this?" She asked, smiling.
Joey nodded, and smiled brighter. "Yes, please." He answered, politely.
She nodded, and stood up. Heading over to the pantry, she began to search for some cookies. Smiling, she took out a pack of Oreos, and headed back to the table. "Here we are." She remarked, setting them down, watching Joey clean up the mess he had made. "You didn't have to do that, Joey." She remarked, as he finished cleaning.
He lowered his head, and nodded. "Mama always told me when I made a mess, I should clean it up." He remarked, taking the towels to the trash.
She nodded, and opened the pack of Oreos. "She sounds like a wise woman." She replied, taking out a cookie.
Joey nodded. "I don't remember her very much." He whispered, dunking an Oreo in the milk.
Caroline smiled. "I'm sure she loved you." She said, watching him nod.
"Do you have a mama?" He asked, taking a bite of the cookie.
Caroline hesitated, and bit her tongue before answering. "I used to." She whispered, her voice cracking a little.
"What happened to her?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.
She swallowed hard. "She died."
Joey nodded. "So did my mom." He whispered, bowing his head. "My step-dad killed her." He added, firmly.
Caroline stilled her movements. "I'm sorry, Joey." She whispered, with sincerity.
He dunked another Oreo in the milk, and took a bite, though his actions were very slow. "He wouldn't take her to the doctor when she got sick." He whispered, bowing his head. "He said that she wasn't sick, and that it would cost too much money to take her." He added, lifting his gaze to Caroline. "Did your mama get sick too?" He asked, searching her face with eyes that were wide beyond his years.
She shook her head. "No." She answered, lowering her eyes.
"Do you miss her?" He asked, softly.
She nodded, and tears filled her eyes. "Every day." She answered, with a smile.
He smiled. "I miss my mom too." He returned, standing up. He moved towards her, and wrapped his arms around her neck. "Thank you." He whispered, holding her tight.
She closed her eyes, and returned his hug. "For what?" She asked, emotion leaking into her words.
He pulled back, and searched her eyes. "For being an angel." He answered, with a smile.
She smiled and nodded. "My pleasure." She returned, not having the heart to tell him that she wasn't an angel.
She looked up, and smiled at the figure in the doorway.
"It's not polite to lurk in doorways." She remarked, pulling back from Joey.
Joey turned and smiled at Klaus, who smirked at the sight, and entered the kitchen.
"I wasn't lurking, love. I just didn't want to interrupt the moment." He remarked, sitting in the seat Joey had occupied.
Caroline glared at him, and noticed he didn't put on a shirt, only his pants. "You're horrible." She whispered, shaking her head.
He smirked, and raised his brow. "That's not what you said a few hours ago, love." He whispered, taking his voice down an octave, causing her to shiver and blush.
She shifted in her seat, and glanced at Joey. "Shut up." She stated, sending another glare at Klaus, causing him to chuckle.
Joey smiled at the interaction. "Are you married?" He asked, causing Caroline to choke on her milk as she took a sip.
Klaus smiled at her reaction, but focused his gaze on Joey. "No, we're not." He remarked, shaking his head.
Joey shrugged, and smiled. "You act like you are." He returned, reaching to grasp his milk.
Klaus smiled, and glanced at Caroline, who was blushing under the light. "What makes you say that?" He asked, focusing his gaze towards Caroline, who stared into his eyes.
Joey smiled, and moved his gaze back and forth between them. "Because you can't seem to stop looking at each other, and you bicker like a married couple." He remarked, shrugging his shoulders.
"How would you know that?" Caroline asked, turning her gaze from Klaus towards Joey.
Joey shrugged. "When my step-dad was out buying beers, I was able to watch TV." He answered, firmly. "You two act just like the couples on TV. You know the ones really in love and married." He stated, nodding to both of them.
Caroline swallowed and cleared her throat, while avoiding Klaus' gaze. "Well, I think that's enough for tonight. Why don't you go on up to bed, Joey?" She remarked, looking at the blonde haired boy.
Joey nodded. "Okay, good night, Ms. Caroline." He remarked, hugging her neck lightly.
"Good night, sweetie." She returned, hugging him in return.
He pulled back, and moved towards Klaus. "Good night, Uncle Klaus." He whispered, hugging the man.
Klaus smiled, and slowly returned the hug. "Good night, Joey."
Joey pulled back, and slowly made out of the kitchen, pausing to look back at the young couple who rescued him.
When they heard his bedroom door close, Klaus turned his gaze to Caroline, who was fiddling with the glass of milk on the table. "So, you want to tell me why I woke up to find myself alone in bed." He pondered, though he suspected the answer.
She lifted her gaze to him, and smirked. "I was hungry." She stated, standing up, and reached for Joey's empty glass.
Klaus smirked, and grasped her hand with his, and gently pulled her down into his lap. Caroline let out a laugh, and shook her head, as she tried to get up from his lap, only to have his arms wrap securely around her waist.
"You do know that I can easily get out of this, don't you?" She asked, saucily.
He smirked, and kissed her neck before whispering in her ear. "But you won't."
She smiled, and shivered. "How do you know I won't?" She asked, her voice lowering to a seduction.
He smiled, and shivered. "Because I won't let you." He whispered, nibbling her ear.
Caroline closed her eyes, and bit back a moan. "You are horrible." She whispered, again.
He chuckled, and loosened his hold on her. "Am I really?" He asked, watching her turn in his lap, and moved to straddle him.
She smirked, and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Yes, you are, but that's why I like you." She whispered, leaning forward to kiss his lips.
He chuckled, before he deepened their kiss. He tilted his head to the side, and allowed their kiss to go even deeper.
Caroline pushed herself closer to him, and ran her left hand through his hair. She pulled back, and tilted her head to the side, as his lips trailed down her neck. She smiled as a moan escaped her lips.
"Oh God, not in the kitchen! People eat in here you know!"
Caroline jerked out of Klaus' lap, and pushed her right hand through her mushed hair. Klaus stood up, and glared at his youngest brother.
Kol smirked, and moved toward the fridge, trying his best not to laugh. He was dressed in a pair of blue boxer shorts and nothing else, with his brown hair mussed and sticking up everywhere.
Klaus moved towards him, but Caroline grasped his upper arm, halting his movements.
Kol grabbed a bottle of water, and twisted the top off. "I'm surprised you two stopped long enough to come down." He remarked with a smirk as he sipped his water.
Caroline glared at him, and held Klaus' arm tighter. "How's your head, Kol?" She asked, with attitude. "I'm surprised you still have it after Klaus shot at you." She remarked, quirking a brow.
Kol scowled, and clenched his jaw before sipping from the bottle.
"Kol?"
Caroline smirked as she recognized the voice coming closer to the kitchen, and watching Kol's nervous expression.
Emerging into the doorway was Bonnie Bennett, a very ruffled Bonnie Bennett wearing one of Kol's shirts and nothing else.
She paused, and bowed her head, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks. Kol closed his eyes, and glanced at his brother, who was lifting his brows, curiously.
Caroline smiled, and glanced at Klaus. Kol moved towards his love, and sent a glare towards his brother. "Shut up, Nik." He stated, turning towards Bonnie, with a soft expression appearing on his face, an expression that Klaus had never seen before.
"Let's go, lass." He whispered, taking Bonnie's hand, and leading her away.
Bonnie turned her head, and smiled at Caroline, who smiled in return, before Kol and Bonnie disappeared out of the kitchen.
Caroline shook her head, and turned to Klaus. "Where were we?" She asked, smiling.
Klaus smiled, and scooped her up in his arms, before quickly leaving the kitchen, and headed up the stairs towards his room, both laughing along the way.
~XXX~
Kol closed the door behind them, and shook his head. "I could kill my brother." He stated, watching Bonnie move towards his disheveled bed.
She laughed, and shook her head. "No, you couldn't." She whispered, bending over to reach for her pants.
Kol sighed, and moved towards her. "What are you doing?" He asked, sitting beside her.
She glanced at him, and smiled. "I have to get back. Grams will worry." She answered, softly.
Kol shook his head, and stopped her hands from sliding her pants on. "She'll understand, Bonnie." He whispered, leaning over to kiss her neck.
Bonnie smiled, and tilted her head to the side. "She doesn't even know I'm here, Kol." She whispered, trying to keep the shivers to herself.
He chuckled. "Oh, she knows." He whispered, causing her to jerk beside him.
"She what?!" She asked, in a gasped tone, turning to face him.
Kol smirked. "She saw me drive up to the restaurant this afternoon, and told me it was about time." He recalled with a laugh.
Bonnie smiled and shook her head. "She knows how I feel about you." She whispered, bowing her head.
He caressed her cheek with his right hand. "And how I feel about you." He whispered, watching tears fill her eyes.
"How do you feel?" She asked, lightly, with emotion.
He smiled, and leaned forward. "Don't you know?" He asked, kissing her lips lightly.
She smiled, and moved her head back and forth when they parted. "Show me." She whispered, pulling back enough to see his eyes fill with emotion.
He smiled, and pushed her down on the bed, helping her scoot back before claiming her lips with his. Slowly, taking his shirt off her body, he smiled down with emotion shining out of his eyes.
"You are so beautiful, lass." He whispered, stroking her bare skin, pausing to fondle her breasts, before he captured them with his mouth.
She arched underneath him, and smiled as he continued to bring her pleasure with his mouth. He pulled back only to remove his shorts, and then returned to giving her pleasure.
Soon, she was ready, and he pushed gently inside her. He pulled back as they began to rock together, joining not just their bodies, but their hearts in one simple fluid movement.
Bonnie bit her lip, trying not to cry out, and Kol smiled down at her until he felt his high reaching its limits.
Stars and the universe exploded around them as he plunged into her one swift time, and they could not resist joining their lips to keep from screaming each other's names.
Kol felt his body become limp, but didn't care. He loved this woman underneath him, and even though he hadn't voiced it, he knew that she knew, and that made all the difference in the world.
~XXX~
Across town on a small dock, Katherine walked slowly. The moon was still full, and it lit the waters of the Lake.
The breeze blew her hair behind her, and she placed her hands into the pockets of her black leather jacket.
She paused at a railing, and leaned her forearms on the railing, and gazed out on the lake.
"It's a beautiful night."
She shook her head, and turned it away from the voice. "Are you following me now?" She asked, with disdain.
Elijah shrugged, and placed his suit covered arms on the railing beside hers, and looked out into the water for a moment before turning his head to look at her. "I was checking on a shipment when I saw you walking down here." He answered, quickly.
She nodded curtly. "Well, then, I should be going." She stated, moving away from the railing.
Elijah reached out, and grasped her left arm. "Why have you been avoiding me, Katerina?" He asked, gazing into her eyes.
She moved her eyes down to his hand, and lifted them back to his. "You know why." She answered, yanking her arm free of his grasp. "You betrayed my trust." She added, moving away from him, only to have him grasp her arm once again.
"I don't call trying to find the truth a betrayal, Katerina. In fairness, you betrayed me." He stated, in a semi-cold tone.
She glared at him. "How?" She demanded, trying to get free of his grasp.
He searched her eyes. "By keeping the truth of Caroline from me." He whispered, firmly.
She jerked her arm from his hand, and glared at him. "I was protecting my friend, Elijah. Something I'm sure you wouldn't understand." She stated, stepping away from him, but not much further.
He frowned. "I'm protecting my family, Katerina." He stated, stepping closer to her.
She scoffed. "Then why have you not told Klaus the truth about her if you are so willing to protect him?" She asked, folding her arms over her chest.
He closed the distance between them, and glared. "Because I've seen them together." He whispered, finally. "She'll tell him the truth soon." He stated, as if he knew.
Katherine swallowed. "You sound so sure of yourself." She stated, lowly, hating the closeness between them.
He smirked. "Because I am." He stated, searching her eyes.
She nodded. "Then why tell me that you know the truth?" She asked, wanting to move, but she couldn't.
He lifted his left hand, and caressed her cheek softly. "Because I trust you, and you trust her, which tells me that she is to be trusted." He answered, after a moment.
She swallowed hard, and stepped away, finally. "You should've trusted me five years ago." She stated, turning away from him, and walked away, leaving him there on the dock, alone once again.
"I did, Katerina. It's why I let you go five years ago." He whispered, bowing his head before turning it towards the water of Lake Pontchartrain.
I know a lot happened in this chapter, but I wanted it to be a filler until everything came out.
Please be kind!
Until Next Time...
