Okay, this chapter isn't very long, but there was already so much happening in this chapter, I didn't want to overload. I hope you enjoy it anyway.
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO SUPPORT THIS CHAPTER! IT'S BEYOND AWESOME! :)

She snapped the clasp of her bra behind her, and lifted the straps onto her shoulders. She turned her head, and smiled as Klaus propped up on his right forearm, and wiped the sleepiness from his eyes with his left hand.
"What time is it?" He asked, glancing around the room.
Caroline smiled, and stood up to grab her pants, and slipped them on. "It's five in the morning." She answered, picking up her shirt.
Klaus groaned, and closed his eyes. "And where are you going?" He asked, opening his eyes.
She leaned onto the bed, knowing she needed to be brief. "I have to go back to my hotel room. I haven't been there in almost two days, and I need some clothes." She answered, kissing him quickly.
He moaned, and reached for her, but she eluded his touch. He sat up, and moved to stand up. Caroline watched as his perfect chiseled butt came into view, and she smiled as she noticed the red marks from her nails across them. She blushed as she remembered the past two days, in bed, with him, making love.
Klaus turned his head, as he pulled on a pair of shorts, and then his jeans, and smirked as he caught her admiring his ass. "See something you like, love?" He asked, approaching her, as she slipped on her shirt.
She smiled, and nodded. "You have no idea." She whispered, pulling her blonde hair out of the shirt.
He smiled wider, and grasped her hips. "You don't have to leave so early, love." He whispered, pulling her closer to him.
She smiled, and nodded. "Yes I do, because I have to shower, change, and I have a few calls to make." She replied in honesty.
He nodded, and sighed. "So do I." He whispered, softly.
She sighed, and leaned her head on his shoulder, as her arms wrapped around his waist. "It's strange, but I feel like…" She trailed off, shaking the feeling away from her, and pulled back.
Klaus looked down and caressed her chin with his fingers. "You feel what?" He asked, searching her eyes.
She smiled weakly, and leaned her face into his hand. "Like I don't want to leave you." She whispered, after a moment.
Klaus felt his heart still in his chest for only a moment. He couldn't believe the words that came from her mouth. Without thinking, he leaned forward, and slammed his lips onto hers. "I don't want you to either." He whispered, when they pulled back for air.
Caroline felt her eyes burn with unshed tears. "What are you saying?" She asked, shaking her head.
Klaus inhaled deeply, but didn't release her. "Move in with me." He asked, in a low voice.
She opened her mouth, and shook her head in slow disbelief. "Klaus…what…we…I…" She stuttered, placing her hands on his bare chest.
Klaus placed his hands on hers, and slowly stroked the back of her hands. "I know." He began, watching her lift her eyes to his. "We've only known each other for two months, but…" He trailed off when she shook her head, and placed her right hand on his lips.
"I'll think about it." She replied, after inhaling deeply. She let out a small laugh, and nodded. "Give me the day to think about it, and to get my things in order." She replied, more firmly.
Klaus smiled, and nodded, and it seemed the sun had risen in the sky. Or at least to Caroline it felt that way. Though somewhere in her mind, she heard a voice saying this was wrong.
It was wrong because she was still lying to him.
Why did it have to come to this?

Caroline dug her phone out, and dialed a number she needed at the moment.
"Kat." She called into the receiver. "I need to talk to you." She replied, as she walked into the lobby of her hotel.
"Care, it's six in the morning." Katherine muttered, groggily.
"I know, but I really need to talk to you." She replied, urgently.
Katherine sighed, and Caroline heard the rustling of sheets. "Alright, I'll meet you at the cemetery in about an hour." She replied, after a moment.
Caroline smiled, as she exited the elevator, and headed towards her room. "Thanks, Kat." She replied, opening the door.
"Uh-huh." Katherine replied, ending the call.

Kol fiddled with the shot glass as he glared into the liquid in the glass. He frowned as he tipped his head back, and downed the liquid, and frowned as the burning sensation ran down his throat. He dropped the glass on the table, and pushed the glass away from him.
"You know, when someone sees a man sitting by himself, drinking, one might think he's got a problem."
Kol smirked, and slowly turned his head to see an old friend, dressed in a three piece suit and tie, sit beside him in the kitchen. "Damon Salvatore, what brings you down this way?" He asked, as Damon pulled up a stool, and poured himself a drink. "By all means, help yourself." He muttered, grumpily.
Damon smirked, and glanced at him. "Boy, you do have a problem." He replied, lifting the glass to his lips. "Want to talk about it?" He asked, bringing the glass down.
Kol glanced at Damon, and turned his head back to the glass, debating inwardly on if he should get another drink. "It's my problem." He answered, lifting the glass, and reaching for the glass jug of scotch still sitting on the table.
Damon nodded. "Bonnie?" He asked, watching Kol freeze for a moment. "Hey, she called my wife, and Rose told me." He replied, when Kol didn't answer, and he shrugged.
Kol sighed, and bowed his head. "I gave in." He answered, finally.
Damon smirked, and set the glass on the counter. "I know, but something is still holding you back." He replied, glancing at his friend.
Kol shook his head. "I gave in to my feelings, but this life…" He trailed off, draining the rest of the scotch in the glass.
Damon chuckled, and shook his head. "You didn't tell her your feelings, did you?" He asked, watching the younger man carefully.
"She knows I care about her." Kol stated, pushing the glass away from him.
Damon nodded. "But she doesn't know that you love her." He stated, sipping from his glass.
Kol closed his eyes, but didn't say a word. "She knows…"
"You didn't tell her, Kol, and that's why you're sitting here in this kitchen drinking yourself into oblivion." Damon interrupted, nodding his head.
Kol turned his head, and glared at Damon. "What are you really doing here besides meddling into my private life?" He asked, propping his left arm on the counter.
Damon gulped down the rest of the scotch, and pushed the glass away. "The Big Bad called me, and since me and the family were on vacation here, he 'asked' me to drop by." He replied, putting quotes around asked.
Kol smirked. "How is your little brood?" He asked, watching Damon smirk, and nod his head.
"A handful, but worth it." He replied, smirking.
Kol nodded, and looked away for a moment. "You're a judge, Damon. A few children shouldn't be a problem." He remarked, smiling.
Damon's smile dropped, and dipped his head. "It's just one now." He whispered, softly.
Kol sighed. "I hadn't heard." He replied, carefully.
Damon nodded. "We didn't expect Amy to live as long as she did. There was nothing that could have been done." He replied, solemnly.
Kol nodded. "At least you had two years with her." He returned, placing his hand on his friend's back.
Damon nodded. "That's what Rose said." He replied, with a distant smile.
"And you still have James." Kol returned, smiling.
Damon nodded, and smiled. "Yeah, we do." He replied with a laugh.
"How old is he now?" Kol asked, removing his hand, and placing it on his lap.
Damon shook his head. "Ten months." He replied, smiling.
"Planning on anymore?" Kol asked, watching Damon turn his head.
"We've talked about it, but haven't decided yet." He answered, finally.
"Well, when you do get another little miracle on the way, let me know. I know the perfect gift." He replied, jumping off the stool while wiggling his eyebrows.
Damon chuckled, and shook his head. "I bet you do." He turned on the stool. "Hey, Kol," Watching Kol turn as he reached the door. "Tell her, in this business, you don't know how long you've got. Take it from someone who knows." He stated, firmly.
Kol nodded curtly before leaving the kitchen, and headed towards the door.
Damon sighed, and bowed his head. Time was precious, and he knew that more than anybody.

Kol reached the front walk, but stopped when he saw Elijah coming up towards the door.
"Brother! I didn't expect to see you out so early." He remarked, lightly.
Elijah nodded. "I had a few things to take care of down at the docks." He replied, turning his head in the direction.
Kol nodded in understanding. "Are they?" He asked, watching Elijah nod. "Good, now if you'll excuse me, there is a town full of booze I must dispose of." He replied, stopping when Elijah grabbed his arm.
"Maybe instead of drinking yourself into a stupor, you should tell her how you feel." Elijah remarked, firmly.
Kol jerked his arm out his brother's grasp, and glared at him. "Why is this anybody else's business? It's my life." He stated, and Elijah could have sworn he would have stomped his foot if he was younger.
"Because, you need her, Kol, and in this life, that's very rare." He replied, solemnly.
Kol frowned, and stepped closer. "Maybe you should take a piece of your own advice, brother." He whispered, with a hard tone. "Or have you broken the need you feel for the delectable Katherine?" He asked, tauntingly.
Elijah's eyes flared, and he resisted the urge to slam his brother against the pole. "My business with Katherine…"
"Don't give me that, brother. I know how you feel about her, everyone does." Kol stated, rolling his eyes. "So how about this: you stay out of my personal life, and I'll stay out of yours." He remarked, not waiting for Elijah to answer, and walked away.
Elijah sighed, as he watched his brother turn right, after a moment of deliberating. He smiled.
Kol was taking his advice.

"Damon! What a pleasure you could come?"
Damon groaned, as he saw Klaus enter the kitchen. "Cut the shit, Klaus. What the hell do you want?" He asked, turning on the stool, to glare at him.
Klaus smiled, and motioned for Damon to follow him. "This way, if you don't mind." He replied, walking out of the kitchen, and headed towards the study.
Damon rolled his eyes, and followed him.
Klaus motioned to the sofa in the center of the room, while he poured them both drinks. "Bourbon." He remarked, handing Damon his.
Damon lifted his pale blue eyes to his, and nodded. "You remembered." He replied, lowering the drink.
Klaus nodded, and took the chair across from Damon.
"Now, what do you want that was so urgent that you felt the need to take me away from my wife and son?" He demanded, leaning back in the sofa.
Klaus sighed. "Two days ago, Caroline and I rescued this boy from the clutches of his stepfather." He began, leaning on his forearms, keeping his hands and eyes on the glass.
Damon nodded. "I see, and what has that got to do with me?" He asked, sipping from his glass.
"I want to adopt him." Klaus answered, lifting his gaze to Damon's. "Secretly."

Caroline sighed as she sat down on the stone bench in the middle of the cemetery, and pushed her semi-wet hair back from her face.
Kat had called back and pushed their meeting a few hours, and now her she sat, nearing ten in the morning, waiting.
"You had to pick the worst bench in the cemetery." Katherine remarked, walking up to her friend.
Caroline smiled, and stood up. "What took you so long? You know how I hate waiting." She replied, hugging her friend.
Katherine sighed. "I'm sorry, but I had a few of my dealers call me, because some of their shipment was late, so I had to make about a dozen calls, to my suppliers to find the problem, and…uh." She stated, in frustration.
Caroline smiled, and nodded. "It's okay. Did you get it sorted out?" She asked, as they walked on.
Katherine nodded. "Finally." She replied, sighing. "So, what was so damn urgent that you woke me up at six in the morning?" She asked, stopping to cross her arms over her chest.
Caroline sighed, and pushed her hands in the pockets of her jeans, and leaned back against a tall tree. "I slept with Klaus, like a lot." She replied, holding back a blush.
Katherine lifted her brows. "No, shit." She stated, as if she already knew that. "I kinda figured that out when you disappeared for two days, and when Kol mentioned in passing that a blonde haired woman had taken a hold of his brother." She replied, refusing to use Kol's colorful language.
Caroline bowed her head. "I'm not sure how it happened, but one minute we were talking about Joey, and then the next I told him about my dad."
"Hold it!" Katherine interrupted. "You told him about your dad, and he didn't kill you." She remarked, holding up her hands.
Caroline shook her head. "I didn't tell him his name. I only told him about…" She trailed, leaving her friend to fill in the blanks.
Katherine bit back a grin, and nodded for her friend to continue.
"Anyway, the next thing I knew we were in bed, and…" She trailed off with the memory taking over.
Katherine rolled her eyes. "Don't make me slap you, Care." She stated, snapping Caroline out of the memory.
Caroline smiled, and bowed her head once more. "I trust him, Kat." She replied, after a moment.
Katherine's eyes widened, and she slowly nodded her head. "I see." She paused, studying her friend closely. "You're falling for him." She stated, not intending to ask the question.
Caroline's eyes widened. "No, I…" She trailed off when Katherine pointed a finger in her direction.
"Don't you dare deny it, Forbes." She stated, lowering her voice in case someone was close. "You sleep with a man you've only known for two months, which is a shock in itself, and now you tell me that you trust him." She paused, a mischievous smile appearing on her face. "You've got it bad." She replied, after a moment.
Caroline groaned, and threw her head back. "This is wrong, so wrong." She stated, shaking her head against the tree.
"No, what's wrong is the fact that you are shaking her wet hair against a dirty tree." Katherine stated, pointing to the tree.
Caroline groaned, and pulled her hair up. "What should I do?" She asked, in desperation. "I mean, I still my job to consider." She stated, pushing away from the tree.
"Honey, your job stopped being your job the moment you started falling for him, and don't you dare deny it." Katherine stated in a sassy tone.
Caroline threw her head back, and let out an aggravated groan. "But I'm not…"
"Caroline!" Katherine nearly shouted, and approached her only to grasped her face in-between her hands. "All your life you have been afraid of men, of letting them touch you for fear that they will turn out like your dad. Now, you meet a man, who you allow to touch you, and instead of thinking of your damn job, you start to care for him." She stated, searching Caroline's eyes. "I'm saying this as your friend, Care," She paused, moving her hands to her friend's arms. "Let it go."
Caroline searched her eyes, and tilted her head to the side. "Let what go?" She asked, softly.
Katherine smiled. "That's for you to decide, Caroline."
Caroline moved her eyes to the side, and closed them slowly. From behind the darkness of her lids, she saw one face, and that was all the answer she needed.
Opening her eyes, she hugged her friend. "Thanks, Kat." She whispered, pulling back.
Katherine smiled. "No problem. Now," She paused, dropping her hands. "Can we go and get something to eat? I'm starving." She remarked, cocking her head to the side.
Caroline stepped back. "Later, first there is something I have to do." She replied, jogging backwards, and turning on her heel, she practically ran out of the cemetery.
Leaving Katherine smiling at the sight. "Let it go, Caroline. Let it go."

Kol wiped his hands on his jeans, and lifted his hand to the door, but before he could knock on the door, it swung open.
Bonnie's eyes widened a fraction, but the light in her eyes was unmistakable. "Kol, what…"
Kol interrupted her when he grabbed her by the waist, and slammed his lips onto hers, kissing her within an inch of her life. Slowly pulling back, Kol searched her eyes, and smiled. "I love you, Bonnie Bennett."
Bonnie felt tears fill her eyes, and she smiled as she touched his face with her right hand. "And I love you, Kol Mikaelson." She whispered, with a small laugh.
Kol smiled, and kissed her once more. For once, he listened to his brother and to a friend. He let it go.
~Later That Afternoon~
Klaus walked to the door after hearing the doorbell ring, and slowly he opened it. He smiled as he saw the face he hadn't seen all day.
"Love…" He began, but was interrupted when she leapt into his arms, and kissed him with all the joy and passion she felt at the moment, to which he returned with equal fervor.
Pulling back, Caroline touched his scruffy cheek with her right hand, and smiled, watching him smile in return. "Care to help me with my bags?" She asked, after a moment.
Klaus' smile brightened, as he looked down for a moment to see a few bags on the porch. "Don't mind if I do, love." He answered, kissing her once more, before helping her bring the bags inside, and closing the door.

A bottle slammed against the wall, and a loud cry erupted in the room.
He was tired and angry. Soon, everything he had every wanted would be his, and there was nothing no one could do to stop him.
All he had to do was wait. Wait for something to use against Klaus, but time was not on his side. In four months, the buyers wanted confirmation that Klaus was gone, and so far, he hadn't found a weakness.
That was why he had slammed the bottle. That was why he was angry. The only weakness Klaus had was his family, but he couldn't use that. He had to use something else.
He turned around, and found her cowering in the corner. He sneered, and approached her. "Now, you are going to tell me everything I need to know, or else, you will beg for a swift death before I'm through." He whispered, grasping her blonde head, and jerking it towards him. "Are we clear?" He asked, watching her nod, tears falling down her bruised face. "Good, now, shall we begin?" He whispered, kissing her forehead lightly.
