Will throws his weight around during the moving out. Seeing him kidding around with Abby and throw the band tape on Chad every time he makes remarks, has Sonny realize his man has changed. He's not as reserved and seems more relaxed too. He sends Chad witty comebacks, which makes his friend arch his eyebrows in a surprise manner, and gives orders back and front. Sonny could sit down and just watch if he wanted. He's tempted, actually. Lots of heavy stuff to carry. He sighs and Will has everyone stop for lunch. He takes Sonny in his lap and feeds him baby-bird-style, wearing an iron grin to face any teasing. Sonny is mesmerized by his man until he notices Sebastian, who's taking advantage of a moment where no one is looking his way to glare at Will in a ferocious way. Sonny's stomach hurt at the sight. He doesn't know what to think of this guy, nor who to talk to about that. Tyler and Payne? Will himself?

In fact, with all the help they get, most stuff have been taken out of the boxes. The spoons are in their drawer, the CDs are placed on the shelves, next to the travel books. The game console is plugged in, with Chad and Tyler racing against each other during the evening, while Will has settled a weekly card game with the neighbors, starting now. After he triumphed over all of them, all of their helpers are picked up by their respective companions and Sonny gets his back, for his own private pleasure. He manages to control his excitement for two glorious minutes, then lifts Will off the floor in his haste to take him to their new bedroom. The pleasure is almost doubled in it. The fall asleep very, very late, snuggling into each other, with short breathing. Sonny still loves feeling Will's delicate figure against him, warm and soft, curling in his arms.

He still loves it the next morning, when they finally emerge. He has to go to work in the afternoon but is intending to make the most of what remains of the morning, in their new and shiny home, when Will's cell rings. He grumbles and lies back down while Will gets up, whispering "It's my Dad." Sonny has learned to be wary. Lucas has accepted him now, but both of Will's parents tend not to respect their adult son's independence. Although, it could be an emergency too, who knows? Will's face turns pale as he listens, so Sonny sits, ready to spring into action but Will holds his arm in front of him, hand spread. He nods and answers "OK, see you then" to his phone. Then, he hangs up, looking dejected and comes sit between Sonny's legs, who strokes his back softly, kisses his shoulder "What's going on, kitten? Tell me, please, I'm worried sick when I see you like that..." Will shrugs "It's nothing, love, I'm not depressed again, not at all. But my Dad just explained he wanted to see me. He and Mom aren't working, so they're splitting up..." He's silent for a moment then adds "And you know, the fact that I had called it doesn't help in the least. That's why I couldn't..." He doesn't finish and puts his head in his arm, like a little boy. Sonny's eyes gets teary. He can't do anything for Will, apart from loving him and support him. The irony in having Lucas and Sami wanting to control Will's life when they can't control theirs makes him smirk sadly and seeing that Will doesn't react to his touch, he gets up and prepares brunch. He comes back with a tray and asks "Where are you meeting him?" No answer but Will raises his eyes and looks at the coffee. He takes a sip and puts both hands on the hot cup, as if to warm his saddened heart, then answers "At Common Ground, this afternoon. So, I'll go with you as we planned."

They eat in silence, then Will pushes the tray away, settles his back against Sonny's chest and goes back to his preceding thoughts "You see, this is one of the reasons why I'll never get married." Sonny feels his own body jerking. He instantly strains his muscles so that Will isn't made aware of it, and controls his voice to note "It's a little early to say never, isn't it?" Will sighs "If I'm supposed to end like them... No need to force things. Look at us, we're taking our time and we don't need empty promises." Sonny knows this is not the good moment to press the discussion but his heart cracks up. He's not crazy about conventions but the idea of committing to Will, of celebrating their happiness with their friends and family has played up in his mind already. It feels like Will is slipping out of his hands, that he's keeping an exit way open, the possibility of a life without him. It hurts.

Just before they leave for the coffee-house, Will hugs him tight "Thanks, my love." "For what?" "For everything. For being strong and wonderful. We'll be happy here." His eyes are overflowing with love and Sonny swears to remain strong, always, for Will. Even if one day he were to choose a life without him, he's still ready to take that risk. It's so worth it.
