Poker night has officially been instated, every Sunday night. Sonny has invited Tyler, who doesn't play either, for dinner, and they talk quietly while drinking wine. Sonny raises the subject of his summer travel plans and so they spend the rest of the evening on the net, looking at photos and prices. Around midnight, Tyler yawns and goes back to his place to wait for Payne. The players are all at Sebastian's this time and plan to take turns at each apartments. Sonny's curious to hear how it went but falls asleep before Will's arrival. He wakes up two or three times, still alone, his mind all foggy, feeling strangely distressed. He stares in the darkness, wide-eyed at the now cold and bluish walls, wondering if he should text, then feeling ridiculous as Will is in the same building and he'll be home soon, it's only... He grabs the clock and makes sure it's got the right time. It's cell agrees, it is three am. Will has class later in the morning. Did he decide to sleep there? Without telling him? And once again, it's silly, they are living right across the hall. Sonny rolls in the bed, ill-at-ease. He realizes he's dozed off when he's disturbed by a breeze of air on his right side. His waking up with a start alerts Will who takes him in his arms. Sonny sighs of relief. "Sorry, my love, I wanted to let you sleep." "Why? I wanted to hear about your evening... It's really late, how many games did you play?" Will answers softly "Not that many, it's been over a while ago, but I talked a lot with Sebastian as he was alone. Mary is at her sister's. I didn't notice the time. How did it go with Tyler?" Sonny's eyelids are closing on their own and he whispers back "Yes... nice... tomorrow..."

But when he has to get up for work, Will is still asleep. He goes take a shower and leave a note on the table 'Knowing you, you must have won a lot yesterday. I'm expecting to be treated to a nice night out, kitten...' He's actually serious about it. This distressing night has left a bitter taste in his mouth. It's still night out and in general, he doesn't give a damn, yet today, he can't wait for sunlight and even the morning rush hour. Chad is taking the afternoon shift and for the moment, his only company is a somber T, all poised and respectful with the customers. Sonny tries to have him react on subjects he normally jumps on to say stupid stuff, but is unsuccessful. He's saved from boredom by Sami, sauntering her way into Common Ground for her morning coffee. "So, Sonny, will you still hand me my cup?" Sonny has a flashback to Will's tortured face and Lucas' sad expression, a few days ago, yet can't seem to judge Sami. "I might charge you more, who knows? How about a 500 dollars coffee cup?" Sami smirks "I'll take it. But I'll pay the difference later. If I sit down, is it even worse?" "Ouh, now we're past the thousand. I'll see what I can do." He leaves her at a quiet table by the windows and catches a glimpse of Rafe in the square, heading to the coffee-house. Sami didn't waste time. Sonny takes advantage of rush hour ending to go to the office and fill the paperwork he found when he came in, along with a post-it from Chad 'You're so much better at this than I. I'll owe you.', and Sonny is very intent of collecting later, for instance getting his vacations when he wants. He hasn't told Will yet and is planning to surprise him with it in a funny and nice way. Speaking of Will, he gets a text 'Maybe...' which leaves him perplexed for two minutes until he remembers the note he's left at home. So he texts back 'So, where then?' and starts working. As he puts the papers down on the desk, having replaced the post-it ('Your debt had been duly noted, I'll collect soon') another text pops up. He goes back to the main room and reads 'You'll see tonight. I'll need to nap first, though, so don't call now, pls?' Sonny shakes his head, smiling, and gets back to customer service. He talks with Abby for a while, then focuses on creating foam milk patterns and gets plenty smiles in return.

In the afternoon, he goes grocery shopping and walks into a clothing store. He's noticed Will has thrown out most of his socks recently, because of the holes in the toes, so he finds some, then cannot resist buying a jacket he's sure Will would look great in. He doesn't buy anything for himself, spoiling his man is too tempting and he's already thinking about Will's next birthday when he will be able to offer him what he really wants (inside his budget of course) without having to consider whether he's crossing the line between friends and love-interest. The line is far behind them, now and Sonny happily strides home. He tidies, cleans and is stepping out of the shower when he hears the key in the lock. He goes back in the shower, with company this time and has to take a first one to be clean again. Will, in great form, has whispered promises in his ears while penetrating him, making Sonny less and less eager to go out. But Will intends to honor all his promises, surely to be forgiven for the last night.

Sitting in front of their drinks at the club, they meet Neil, who's moved on from Wilder, maybe because they've ran out of positions to try, and is on the hunt for fresh meat, hastily saying Hi while looking around. Sonny notes "He's gifted at picking up hot guys, it seems. I'm not surprised he went after you. You're the hottest of them all." Will blushes. He's wearing his new jacket, which does flatter his masculine silhouette. Half the club is drooling over him and he's blissfully unaware of the fact.

"Actually, it was me..." "You, what?" Will raises pure, blue eyes and Sonny barely listens to his explanations "I went after him... I mean, I was so drunk, and... I had never tried... Neil isn't that picky. But I stopped right away and explained as well as I could. He took it really well and that's why we're friendly now." Sonny brushes Will's free hand and moves his seat closer to him. After a flushed kiss, he asks "So, what about that poker night? How many games did you lose?" Will might be humble about his appearance (when he shouldn't), he's not about his bluffing abilities. He places his elbow on the counter "None. It's a good thing we all agreed not to bet high, or half the building would be hating me." "Good, yes. And what did you talk about with Sebastian?" "Oh, this and that. Things aren't going smoothly with Mary. He says she asks too much. He needed to express it all. He even said it's one of the advantages of having a gay friend. You can talk about your feelings and they won't roll their eyes." Sonny chuckles but still thinks he wouldn't volunteer as this man's confident. But Will is Will and he looks happy to be able and help, so Sonny forgives him and takes him to a quiet corner of the dance floor as a slow song is playing, just for the two of them.
