I yawned, opening my eyes, which landed on a pale, strong chest. Rubbing my eyes, I sat up, looking down at the face of my favorite vampire. He looked so gentle in his sleep and I couldn't help but smile. I hadn't had one nightmare last night and I had a feeling it was because of the Nosferatu. I slipped out from under his arm and got out bed stretching as I looked down at my Droid. It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon so I knew that Alucard wouldn't be up for another 4 or 5 hours. Sighing, I grabbed some clothes from my closet and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind me quietly. I text Arianne after I got dressed and walked out of the room. 'I'm thinking about going to the mall. Want to come?'
Arianne: 'Sure! Meet you at the front door in 5.'
Me: 'Sounds great!'
Arianne and I giggled as we sat in a booth at the McDonald's in the mall.
"Not true! I would jump all over Sebastian Michaelis in a moment's notice!" Arianne remarked as she took a sip of her tea.
"Please! Sebastian would fuck you with no emotion on his face what so ever! He is gay anyways! You know he is all over Ciel!" I giggled as she made a face of mock horror.
"I'm sure I could make him come around to girls! So what about you? What anime character would you go for?"
I felt my cheeks warm slightly as I looked down at my background image on my phone. Alucard was grinning back at me with his hat and glasses off. I smirked then looked back up at her. "I have already met the one I want."
Arianne raised an eyebrow at me then she glanced at my phone before her eyes went wide. "You like him don't you!?"
I smiled at her softly, "No, I don't like him. I'm in love with the sadistic vampire."
Her jaw dropped open as she looked at me. "Really? You should tell him how you feel then."
"No! Besides he probably doesn't feel the same way! I mean I'm just a 'little human' as he likes to call me. He has been alive for over 6 centuries." I sighed blowing my bangs out of my face.
"You honestly don't see how he acts around you."
This time it was my turn to raise an eyebrow at her. "What are you talking about?"
"He is crazy about you, Amber. I could see it yesterday. He won't take his eyes off you." She giggled. "You seem to be blind when it comes to romance."
"Hey! I'm not blind to it! It just scares me! I mean I used to watch my mom get hurt by guys all the time! It worries me that the same thing is going to happen to me."
"He isn't you're average guy, if you hadn't noticed." I grinned, looking up at her then I froze when I saw muddy red eyes out the window across the street.
"Arianne. Don't freak out but I see a ghoul across the street." She looked over her shoulder quickly then her eyes widened as she looked at me. "I want you to stay right here. Do you understand?" She nodded quickly. "Alright. I'll be right back." I pocketed my Droid then walked of the mall with slight haste. I turned the corner and watched as the ghoul stumbled back into the alley I saw him come from. I slipped my hand under my trench coat and flipped the safety off my G24. I made sure I had a good grip on it before I passed our limousine. Walter had rolled down his window and I nodded towards the alley. Once he saw the red eyes he looked back up at me and nodded.
I pulled my gun out of its holster as I rounded the corner into the alley. The ghoul was about halfway down and it was just staring at me. I grinned as I trained my barrel at its head. Just when I was about to squeeze the trigger, 5 more ghouls stepped in behind them. I looked over my shoulder and could see 5 more blocking my path behind me. I grinned sadistically as I looked around.
"This is too easy. Dumbass zombies." I pulled the trigger and watched as brain splattered the ground. Laughing, I kept pulling the trigger as I sent the first 5 to the ground. I turned on the other ghouls as I kept firing and watched as they all hit the ground. Head shots for all of them. I looked around, then holstered my gun. I was about to step over the bodies when I felt something grip the back of my trench coat. I watched as the ground flew away from me then groaned as I slammed into the wall. As I slid down the wall I tried to take a deep breath. Crying out in agony I realized I may have cracked a few ribs.
A hand curled around my throat and brought my back to my feet before holding me against the wall. My eyes locked with brighter, but still muddy red eyes. "You're just a human! How could you have killed all of my ghouls?" I coughed as his hand squeezed a little tighter, I had my hand on my gun and pulled it out without the vampire noticing. "No matter! I will just make more ghouls and you will be the first one of my undead army."
I grinned again, this time for him to see. "I think not, pest." I placed the barrel of my gun against the side of his head and pulled the trigger before he could even move. His eyes widened as the bullet passed through the side of his head, then he slumped to the ground in front of me. I put 5 more rounds into the vampire's chest, before holstering my gun. I looked around the alley way quietly, until my eyes land on a metal pipe. I grabbed it then stood back over top the vampire body. I brought it back over my head then slammed down on it, sending it through the vampire's chest. Once I was satisfied that he wouldn't get back up I stumbled out of the alley and walked over to the limousine where Arianne and Walter were standing.
"Is it done, Amber?"
I nodded, rubbing my side tenderly. "All ghouls and their master vampire are dead."
Walter grinned, nodding his approval. Arianne watched me with a look on her face that told me I had just become her new hero. I was about to spit out a witty remark when I doubled over, covering my mouth with my hand. I coughed heavily as I held onto my stomach. When I pulled my hand away from my face, my vision began to swim. I righted myself as I stared at the blood covering my hand. Walter and Arianne were staring at me when I looked back up at them. I wiped off my face with my sleeve and grinned.
"You guys, I'm fine. That damn vampire slung me against the wall. That's all." They eyed me warily.
"Amber, I think it is time for us to go." Walter placed his hands on my shoulders and I nodded as he led me to the back of the car. I crawled into the car and sat back wincing as a pain shot up my spine. Groaning, I stared out of the window when my phone buzzed. I pulled it out then answered the phone.
"Where are you, my little human?"
"Arianne and I are on our way back from the mall. I dispatched some ghouls and their master vampire. Think I cracked a rib or two when he threw me against the wall."
I heard a growl form in my ear and I looked at the phone. Alucard had hung up on me. Frowning, I put my phone away and looked out the window…and I screamed as I locked eyes when glowing crimson. I looked behind me as Alucard stared down at me. "Cracked a rib?"
I nodded slightly watching him, then I groaned as I leaned forward. I coughed into my hand again and I pulled it away slightly, looking down at my own blood. Before I could wipe it away, the Nosferatu grabbed my wrist and pulled my hand up to his mouth. I watched as his tongue darted out, licking the blood from my hand. "A-Alucard…." I mumbled as I glanced at Arianne. She was staring as us with a smile trying to play on her lips. I smiled at her weakly then groaned as a sharp pain shot up my body, then I watched as my vision began to blur. The last thing I saw was Alucard's black shadows.
