I am so sorry... really... as always, I have a purpose, so hang on, guys!
The next day, Will wakes up too late and runs to the shower while Sonny fixes toasts. He manages to corner him before he leaves and steals one, then two quick kisses. Will loves those series of kisses. He holds Sonny in his arms and plunges his tongue in his mouth. Sonny laughs and pushes him outside. He watches him run, happy with their quiet domestic life.
Sonny interrupts T and Mel's conversation when he gets to the counter. She leaves, smiling and Sonny apologizes "For what, man? I was telling Mel a joke to lift her spirits. We've just talked about our last heartbreaks. I didn't think it was possible with a girl. I guess you've talked about Will and Mel a lot, I mean, you gays are always best buddies with the ladies, aren't you?" Sonny rolls his eyes "Depends on who the girl is. And anyway, before Will and I were an item, they didn't know anything. It is actually possible for a gay guy to have male friends too. Like Chad. And even you, sometimes." T smiles, embarrassed and taps Sonny's arm clumsily. Sonny nods and adds "On the other hand, you're a lazy employee today. There's a whole delivery waiting to be sorted and you haven't even started. Ge to it!"
Fifteen minutes later, he calls T back. The coffee-house is full and, of course, that's when the coffee-maker crashes. Sonny gets more and more angry until he get pinched. He finishes repairing them and goes to the office. He starts working on some bills and fishes for his checkbook but realizes he left it at the apartment. Will is still in class and the deadline is close. Luckily, Chad comes in. Sonny let him take the place in hand and goes back home.
He hangs his jacket and hesitates for a moment. Something's odd. He shakes his head and goes on his checkbook's hunt. He has an inkling it might be in the pants he wore on Friday, so they must be in the bathroom. His hand is on the doorknob when he hears a noise and his brain finally makes the connection. The jacket Will was wearing that morning is hung next to the main door. Was his lecture canceled? He has a wicked smile at the thought of surprising his man and, who knows, if they're fast, they could have a good time... just the thought of Will's mouth on him, the previous evening and Sonny is on fire. He opens the door slowly and freezes.
Nothing make sense. Nothing is possible. And certainly not Sebastian here, next to Will. No way he can have his mouth on Will. Never. It's Sonny's brain who's whacked now. He doesn't know if he's dreaming, having a nightmare, or if Sebastian is a jerk that Will is going to push away, that's for sure, right now, this second...
But Will is still. He doesn't participate. He doesn't reject either. His eyes are closed and Sonny is unable to scream. Sebastian takes a step back, Will opens his eyes and they both see him at the same time. Will looks guilty. In Sonny's head, whole cities are crumbling. An emotional earthquake is cutting all his cerebral capacities but his body reacts on instinct? He grabs Sebastian's collar and barks "Get out of here. Now!" Sebastian obeys and Sonny turns to Will to understand, hoping to regain reason. There is an explanation, there must be one. Yet, Will's head is bent and he follows the other man in the hallway. Another set of neurones grills somewhere in Sonny's brain, he can't move his legs and falls on the bed. He hears the door being slammed. Will doesn't come back.
He remains seated. His heart is physically aching. He's feeling even worse than the other night, when he was so worried about Will who was... alone with Sebastian. The horror at realizing this makes him whine "Noooooo... noooooo" in a feeble voice. There's no one to hear it. He can't go back to work, not as long hasn't returned. At the same time, he can't bear the idea to talk to him. He drags his feet to the door. The hallway is empty. He takes out his cell and types 'Can't come to work. On your own.' and doesn't type 'Not an emergency.' because it is one. His life is a lie. Will is a lie.
He ends up at Abby's. She knows how it feels to be replaced. And the fact that Chad came back to her is vaguely helping. Sonny is not even sure he wants to piece things back. His cousin offers alcoholic relief but he can't swallow. He can't cry. His head is empty. So is his whole life.
