Will's POV

There's so much light... It's hard to keep my eyes open without my sunglasses but they're at the bottom of my suitcase and we've just exited the airport. The traffic is ultra-dense and at the moment, it smells like gas and pollution. Who cares, we're out of the plane! And Sonny's at my side, looking really happy. We're not gonna stay long in Athens, anyway. Just enough time to visit a few monuments and go take a swim, cause we've been waiting a lot for that.

It's much better on the beach, I've finally found my sunglasses. Sonny is like a kid, he loves to swim. And as he's as strong as me, we've been pushing each other in the waves playfully. If there wasn't so many people around, I would have tried a few things... I lie on my towel, to take a jet-lag-needed nap but he's pulling my arm, saying "Come on, Will, we have to see the Parthenon. I guess there's a long line, we'd better hurry."

I try to fight with a puppy dog look and neck kisses, but he's determined. Well, the dude was right, it's worth it. The guide reads Sonny's last name, looks at him and starts talking in Greek. The look on my sweetheart's face! He gets the language a little, but not so fast and with such a specific subject. I come to his rescue, asking the guy to speak in English and the guide apologizes. Sonny looks vexed, now. I know he loves to pick up pieces of local dialects, and he must be frustrated. Knowing him, though, he'll take the challenge and will be speaking fluent Greek at the end of our stay. This guy has a will of iron. And he's my guy. I'm always a little worried he'll realize I'm not like that and will look for a tougher guy. Someone not afraid of planes. For a man passionate about climbing and travels, to be stuck with me is really ironic.

We've brought our luggage at the Youth Hostel and now, we're roaming the streets at night. This time, Sonny know enough to buy something to eat. He looks adorable when the vender hands him what he ordered. We eat while walking around, it's so good. I'm not a fan of eggplants, yet here they taste awesome. It's stuffed with garlic though, so we'd better brush our teeth before kissing again.

Sonny's POV

Will has chocolate ice-cream on the tip of his nose. And a big grin. I kiss both and takes us to the Hostel. Athens at night is nice but Will is making me need to take action. He's very on board but pushes me in the bathroom with my toothbrush first, after he's used it. When I'm back in the room, he's lying on the mattress. It was such a good idea to come to this place, we could even book a private room with a double bed. After his emotions in the plane and the jet-lag, his eyes are swollen but he's making efforts to stay awake. I lie next to him and hold him in my arms. We lock eyes. His are still as blue as the Aegean Sea we just swam in earlier. I kiss his face softly, then his eyelids, but when I reach his chest, I feel it rise and fall evenly. He's asleep...

Sonny

The next day, they rent a car to drive to the Peloponnese Peninsula. They pass the Isthmus of Corinth, with Will's eyes tightly shut, while Sonny is shouting "But look around, love, it's beautiful, all these colors and the canal!" They have to park after a hundred feet, Will having turned green because he did look for a few seconds. Sonny rubs his back tenderly "You know, Will, I really appreciate all these efforts you're doing for my sake. It makes me feel loved." Will sits back and smile feebly "You always know what to say. Sorry for last night, by the way..." Sonny chuckles "It's okay, I'll just ask for double tonight" and winks.

The coast is breathtaking so they make lots of stops. Will takes plenty photos, of the landscape but also of Sonny, who is pleased with his new status as model until he realizes he's the only one being immortalized. He tries to catch the camera but Will puts up a fight "My love, I want memories of you too!" "No, don't... You won't..." He blushes more and more and whispers "I'm not very photogenic." Sonny can't help the thundering laugh that escapes his lips. Will pouts and turns his back, so Sonny puts his arms around him and murmurs "You're ridiculous, you know that? I have three photos of you in my wallet and I keep showing them off a the coffee-house. There are guys who've asked me whether we were really serious and if I could give them your number." while snatching the camera.

Will looks sullen on the first pictures, then laughs on the others (Sonny may have tickled him...) He takes a look at his watch and asks "Fuck, we're gonna be late. What time did you tell your cousins we'd be there?" "Mmm, I thought we might get lost a few times and have to ask for directions, so around six or seven." "It's already seven" They climb back in the car.

When they reach Sonny's relatives' house, it's night already. They get a glimpse of blue-lit towers. Sonny is too exhausted to wonder what it could be. His cousins greet him and soon the two lovers are in the guest room, where Will is repaying his debt, taking care of his weary man. Sonny gives him a last grateful sleep before conking out, happy.
