Five Months before Present
He slammed the phone down on the desk, and growled as both of his hands landed on the top.
"I take it; your call didn't go very well."
He lifted his head, and shook it. "No, it didn't." He stated, sitting down in his leather chair as she came into the room.
Caroline sighed as she approached him, and moved around the desk to his side, only to push some objects away so she could sit on top of the desk. "Want to tell me about it?" She asked, watching him carefully.
He sighed, and held the bridge of his nose between two fingers, before dropping his hand to the arm of the chair. "That was one of my informants at the bank, and apparently your father is the one who is paying Enzo." He stated, staring out into the room.
Caroline sighed, and bowed her head. "So, it's confirmed." She whispered, lowly.
Klaus sighed, and moved his eyes to her. "It is." He stated, simply.
She nodded, and placed her hands on her knees. "Is there a way to get him to back off?" She asked, though a part of her already knew the answer.
He shook his head, his eyes never leaving hers. "Only one." He answered, darkly.
Caroline read between his words, and sighed. "Are you going to be the one?" She asked, holding his eyes.
He moved to stand up, and placed his hands on her face, his thumbs lightly stroking her cheeks. "I will." He answered, firmly.
She nodded, and placed her hands on his chest, fingering his black Henley, and his two necklaces around his neck. "Will you be careful?" She asked, not wanting to ask him to stop for she knew he wouldn't change his mind.
He brushed his fingers over her face, and searched her eyes. He read the fear of losing him in her eyes, and he knew she would never ask, and for that he loved her, but some part of him wanted her to ask him. "As careful as I can be, Caroline," He answered, softly.
She nodded, and smiled, faintly. "Married for almost a month, and you are already putting your life in danger." She stated, shaking her head. "Do you have a death wish?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.
He smirked at her light tone, and shook his head. "No, but I do want to protect the woman I love, and my family." He replied, watching her roll her eyes.
"I can take care of myself." She remarked, causing him to nod his head, and purse his lips. "Don't you give me that look, Niklaus Mikaelson." She stated, poking her finger into his chest. "You know damn well I can." She stated, firmly.
"I know, love." He replied, lowly, his voice hitting an octave down, causing her to shiver.
"You try my patience at times, Klaus." She whispered, leaning forward, and brushed her lips over his.
He hummed and returned her kiss, fervently. "I do try." He whispered, chuckling when she pulled back with a feigned shook look on her face.
"And to think I married you." She toyed, shaking her head, clicking her tongue.
He smirked, and kissed her nose, lightly. "Sometimes I wonder why." He whispered, causing her to laugh, softly.
"You are still wondering, after only being married for a month." She replied, leaning back to look into his eyes.
He sighed, and brushing his hand over her face. "I'm always going to wonder, Caroline." He whispered, seriously.
She smiled, and tilted her head to the side. "Well, then," She began, spreading her legs out, and wrapped them around his waist. "Shall I prove it to you?" She asked, coyly, pulling on his necklaces, bringing him closer to her body.
He smirked, but didn't have time to react when her mouth landed on his in a searing kiss that shook them both with passion and love.
His hands worked underneath her shirt, as did hers, and they pulled back long enough to pull both of their shirts off, smiling at each other for a brief moment before claiming their lips once again.
Caroline's legs rubbed against Klaus' hips, and down his legs, as her hands moved to his jeans, working on his belt, and then his buttons. He pulled back, long enough to pull her leggings down her legs, and only stepped back to pull them completely off, along with her underwear.
"Thank God, I locked the door." She muttered, as he stepped back towards her, her legs securing him to her person.
He smirked, and rubbed his hands on her face, and legs, taking in this moment. "Amen." He whispered, hearing his pants hit the floor, and taking only a split second to kick them to the side.
She giggled, and then it turned into a moan as his lips attached themselves to her neck, and she began to rock against him, trying to get closer. "Please, Nik." She begged, rocking, trying to feel the connection.
"What's your rush, love?" He asked, licking her neck, loving the sound of her moans and sighs.
"Oh, I don't know." She moaned, raking her nails down his chest all the way down, smiling when he groaned when she grabbed him. "Probably because you feel the same as I do." She whispered, moaning, throwing her head back, and biting her lip, when he pushed her blonde hair behind her as he kissed her lips, before pushing forward.
Caroline moaned as he filled her, and she smiled, grabbing the edge of the desk, wanting to feel more. "Please," She cried, panting, trying to get closer.
Klaus moaned, and locked eyes with her, as he continued to move within her. He pulled out, ever so slightly, and smirked, devilishly, when he slammed inside her, causing her to cry out his name like a prayer. "I love the look of complete satisfaction on your face, love." He whispered, as he pulled out once again, and then slammed inside her even fiercer than before, but this time she smiled, and arched her back.
"Only you can put that look on my face, Niklaus." She whispered, feeling her body ring with pleasure.
He smiled with pride, and pushed further inside her, trying to get as close as he could get. He frowned, as he realized his desk was getting crowded. He closed his eyes shut, tightly, as he reached behind her as much as he could, and pushed all the stuff off, with her help, and then laid her on the top of the desk.
She smiled, and wrapped her arms around his neck, her legs locking him in place, where he was still connected with her.
He pushed inside her, loving the sound of her panting along with him, and the slickness of her body sliding with his. He heard the sound of the desk creaking underneath them, and he was fairly certain that it wouldn't break.
"Oh, Klaus!" She cried, arching her hips, trying to get closer and closer to the passion threatening to rock her into oblivion.
"Come for me, love." He whispered, gripping the desk just behind her head. "Oh, God, come for me!" He cried, as her body shuddered underneath him, with his final thrusts, and he watched her face transform into instant pleasure and ecstasy, a look only he could put on her face.
He felt his seed purge from him, as his body rocked with violent passion.
Caroline watched as his face contorted in the same pleasure she was still feeling. She smiled with instant knowledge that she was the only one who could put that look on his face now.
He stilled his movements, and tried to catch his breath as his vision had blackened for only a brief moment.
Her face became solemn after a moment, and she stroked his face. "I don't want to lose you, Klaus." She whispered, causing his breathe to catch at the emotion in her eyes.
"You won't, Caroline." He promised, shaking his head.
She sighed, and pushed his curly hair away from his forehead. "You are going up against my father, Klaus." She began, shaking her head. "I know how he works. He won't give up until we are dead." She paused, swallowing her emotion. "That's what he did with mom." She added, with sad tone.
Klaus sighed, and touched her face lightly with his right hand. "I don't give up easily either, love." He remarked, shaking his head. "You know that." He added, watching her smile, slightly.
"Just please be careful, Niklaus, I don't want to lose the man who owns my heart." She replied, tears filling her eyes.
Klaus sighed, and bent down to brush his lips over hers. "I've got something that your father doesn't." He began, pulling up to look into her eyes.
"What?" She asked when he remained silent.
"I've got something worth fighting for." He answered, smiling, searching her eyes. "I've got you and Joey, and our future." He added, watching her smile at his answer.
She smiled, and brushed her fingers over his face. "And I've got you." She replied, softly, rubbing her legs over his bare hips, causing him to shiver, and both to moan as he was still inside her.
"So you do, love." He whispered, kissing her lips, lightly, and then deepened the kiss.

Rebekah sighed as she sat on her bed. She heard her door open, and she lifted her head, a smile breaking out on her face. "Hey, you." She greeted, as he came into the room, closing the door behind him.
Stefan smiled, and approached the bed, and sat down next to her, leaning forward to kiss her lips, lightly. "Hey," He greeted, pulling back.
"How is everything going?" She asked, lightly.
He sighed, and bowed his head. "Well, Klaus and Caroline are in his office, being newlyweds, and Elijah and Katherine are trying to find a way to get their son back. Kol and Bonnie are watching Joey." He answered, watching her smile.
"That's good, but I meant on the Marcel and Bill front." She explained, watching his face fall and become serious.
"Klaus received word that a hit man was hired by Bill, but other than that, we don't know." He answered, in a semi-dark tone.
She nodded in understanding. "Do we have to move again?" She asked, lifting her eyes to his.
Stefan shrugged his shoulders. "Klaus hasn't said. He was going to discuss it with Caroline before making any decisions." He answered, softly.
She smiled. "I never thought I would see the day when my brother would marry, and wish for someone else's opinion besides Elijah's." She replied, shaking her head.
"He loves her." Stefan remarked, smiling.
She smiled, and nodded. "He does, and so does she." She added, softly.
He nodded, and leaned forward. "How are you holding up?" He asked, searching her eyes.
She lowered her eyes, and fiddled with the bed sheets. "Wishing this will be over." She replied, gravely.
He lifted his right hand and brushed the back of his fingers over her face. "It will be." He said, softly, firmly.
She sighed, and leaned against his hand. "But how long will it take for it to be over?" She asked, sincerely.
He sighed, and brushed her blonde hair behind her ear. "I don't know, but I know it will." He answered, gently.
"You sound confident." She remarked, with a soft smile.
Stefan smirked, and leaned forward. "That's because I know your brother, and he won't give up until William Forbes is in the ground, pushing up daisies." He stated, darkly.
Rebekah lifted her right hand, and touched his face. "You would too." She whispered, firmly.
He smiled, and stroked her face, lightly. "For you, I would." He stated, searching her eyes.
She smiled, brightly, and closed the distance between them to place her lips on his. Pulling back, she breathed lightly. "I love you, Stefan." She whispered, her breathe mingling with his.
He smiled, and placed his forehead on hers, slightly rubbing them together. "I love you." He returned, lowly, silently vowing that he would forever protect this angel in his arms, forever.

Katherine held the photo in her hands as she leaned her arms on her knees. He was a beautiful boy with dark olive skin, dark brown hair, and held Elijah's brown eyes.
He was perfect. He was her son.
"I'm coming, little one." She whispered, fingering the photo, with tears in her eyes.
"We're coming."
She lifted her head, and smiled at Elijah, who knelt down before her on the back porch. "We're coming." She amended with a smile.
Elijah lifted his right hand, and wiped the tears from the bottom of her eyes. "You're worried." He replied, observing her expression.
She lowered her eyes. "What if he doesn't want to come with us?" She asked, her fear no longer being masked behind her determination.
He sighed, and brushed her face, lightly. "Katerina," He began, getting her to lift her eyes to his. "I believe he will know that we are his parents, and I also believe that he will remember his mother." He stated, trying to get her fears erased.
She sighed, and shook her head. "I didn't get to hold him for long, Elijah. What if he doesn't?" She asked, lightly.
He smiled, and kissed her forehead. "Have faith that he will." He answered, softly.
Katherine lifted the picture she had received from a trusted source, and smiled. He would remember her. He would. She just had to believe it.

Klaus watched Caroline move around his office, fingering the books on the shelf with delicate fingers. Her hair was mushed from the passionate lovemaking for the past few hours, and now she was wearing his Henley shirt with her silky legs shining leading to her bare feet.
He had slipped on his jeans, and finished fastening them, as he approached her. "What's on your mind?" He asked, wrapping his arms around her waist.
Caroline smiled, and leaned back into his embrace. "I was just thinking how much I love being here with you, and how I never want it to end." She answered, placing her hands on his resting on her stomach.
He hummed, and kissed her temple. "Me too." He whispered, in agreement.
She sighed, and placed her head back on his shoulder. "But it'll end won't it." She stated, not really asking a question.
He sighed, and nodded. "Yes." He remarked, sadly.
"I don't like it." She remarked, stroking his hands.
"You don't like what?" He asked, loosening his hold when she stepped to turn around in his arms.
"I don't like this plan." She answered, verifying what he already knew. "How can I arrest you, when my father has his spies in the government, and possibly in my own department?" She stated, stepping away from him. "How can I trust the system when it's corrupt, and I could lose you?!" She ranted, moving towards the small chair, and sat down.
He sighed, and moved towards her, kneeling down to her level. "Trust me." He replied, grasping her hands in his, rubbing her left hand, where her rings rested.
She sighed, and slowly shook her head. "I do trust you, Klaus." She remarked, lightly. "It's my father I don't." She added, coldly. "What if he finds out, and tries to get you?" She asked, tears stinging her eyes.
"That's why I have to turn myself in, Caroline." He stated, holding her eyes. "I turn myself in, and it'll draw him out." He added, searching her eyes.
She shook her head, tears beginning to fall down her face. "It's too risky, Klaus." She replied, bowing her head. "Even with what you've got on him, it won't be enough to scare him." She added, sadly.
Klaus smiled, and nodded. "Yes, it will, love." He replied, with certainty.
"How can you be so sure?" She asked, softly.
"Because I have evidence that proves he's the one who killed my mother and a few others." He stated, firmly.
"Nik," She whispered, searching his eyes.
"If I turn state's evidence against your father, in exchange for leniency, we could start over, and live as a family." He stated, softly.
She held her breathe, and found the truth in his eyes. "You would seriously consider doing that?" She asked, wanting to be sure.
He smiled, and lifted his right hand to her face. "I have discovered that I could live without my business, but I can't live without you, Joey, or my family." He answered, truthfully. "I have money in banks around the world that no one knows about, not even Elijah." He continued, smiling. "We could live comfortably for the rest of our lives, if that's what you want." He added, leaving the decision to her.
She smiled, and tilted her head to the side. "You are something else." She whispered, watching him smirk. Leaning forward, she gently kissed his lips, before pulling back to gaze into his eyes. "Let's just get through this first, and then we'll talk about living as a family." She stated, nodding her head.
He smiled, and pulled her face towards him. "Deal." He whispered, kissing her lips, firmly.
Please be kind! I know you keep seeing those words, but as much as I love reading reviews, it hurts when someone writes a rude review, ridiculing the way you decided to go. I know I'm a pretty good writer, and I do make mistakes at times, and make decisions that most of you don't like, but it's my decision, and if you don't like it: Please don't be rude about it. I know, I've said a few times, but I can't help it.
I'm working as fast as I can to wrap up this story this week, so please be patient. Also, I'm planning on going back, and placing dates on some chapters so there will be less confusion, or I may put them on the chapter title. Haven't decided yet.
Until Next Time...
