Chapter 57 - Uncertainties

Vaas closed the warehouse door and left Rosa to sleep.

She had drifted off on the jeep journey back, regardless of the bumpy ride; he had carried her in, straight to bed. Vaas walked out into the compound and found pirates sorting drugs orders, some terrorizing the hostages. Others were taking them to the docks to be shipped as slaves as some just mingling around.

Vaas liked his kingdom but he hated the rodent problem that came with it; people thinking that they were better than them, trying to take them down. It pissed him off to no end and he didn't understand why people couldn't just accept that it was what they did.

Vaas examined the area around him, spotting a beer and a joint on the side, so moved over to help himself. Exhaling, he called out.

"BRING THAT FUCKER SHADOW MAN!" he shouted.
There was a manic scuffling of feet and men muttering. There were some shouts, then the sleepy protests of Walter, before he was being dragged out to Vaas.

"Ah amigo, thanks for all of your help." Vaas said, his voice sly, "So, are you going to admit to being with them or do I have to make you squeal?"
Walter coughed and spluttered.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
Vaas placed down his joint and raised his hand, smacking it across Walter's face.

"DON'T FUCK WITH ME! We know you were working with Liza and Buck! Tell the truth!" he shouted.
Walter whimpered slightly but had a smile on his face. It was pissing Vaas off.

"I - I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not with those fucking people. I just ... know things." Walter stuttered before manically laughing.
Vaas raised his hand but Raul stopped him.
"Vaas, he's too fucked to work with them. Think about it. No way, amigo, look at him."
Raul pointed to Walter who looked like he was about to have a fit.

"I can tell you something else." Walter whooped as the all of the pirates rolled their eyes.
The whole crazy thing was getting tiresome - they just wanted Vaas to put a bullet in between his eyes.

"What, hermano?" Vaas said, inhaling some more of his weed.
"Liza isn't coming for you anymore. She thinks that you're both dead. She'll either go for Hoyt or leave. But she'll figure out that you're alive. And then you'll see." Walter explained before getting to his feet and walking away without another word.

Vaas rubbed his beard.
"So the bitch is going for Hoyt. Let him deal with her, he'll be fine. We just won't let her figure out that we're alive. Easy." Vaas said, carefree and relaxed after his pick me up.
"Sounds good to me. Now what? What are you going to tell Rosa?" Raul replied.

Vaas laughed.
"She's a big girl, and I'm sure her dad can handle himself fine. I'm just gonna let her chill for a while."
Raul didn't have enough time to answer as Dr Earnhardt burst out from his room, startling everyone.

"Who has taken some of my medicines?" he asked.
The pirates shrugged.
"I'd ask Walter, hermano, he's the first one I'd go for." Vaas replied, leaning against the stage, swigging the last drop of his beer down.
"Hm, I think I shall speak to Rosa first."

The Doctor wandered off, leaving Vaas and Raul confused.

Jane skipped over and slinked her arms around Raul's waist from behind, making hims jump and causing Vaas to laugh his ass off.
"Can you two stop being boring ass bitches and add some fun here? Let's have a party, Bucks dead and Liza's pretty much gone! What are we waiting for?" Jane suggested.
Vaas smirked.

"I don't see why not. BOYS, SET EVERYTHING UP FOR A PARTY!" Vaas shouted as the pirates whooped.

They always happy; they lived the perfect life of partying, women, fighting, drugs, sex and alcohol. What's not to love?

Vaas sauntered over to the warehouse to find Rosa and Dr Earnhardt coming out.

Rosa looked concerned and Dr Earnhardt looked the same as usual, disorientated and without a clue. The heavy dance beat pulsated through the compound and off the walls in true Vaas style.

"Princesa, are you okay?" Vaas asked over the music.
Rosa nodded. She seemed to shake herself from her frown and into her normal, smiley self. She kissed Vaas, short and sweet.
"A party to celebrate? I like." Rosa said.
Vaas laughed.

"How could we not?" he said as Rosa kissed him again.
"You might get a pole dance later, if you're good." she winked as Vaas chortled.
"Ey, I like the sound of that princesa." he said.

Doctor Earnhardt looked at Rosa as she frowned again.
"I'll speak to you about it later, okay Doc?" she said.
Doctor Earnhardt mumbled and then wandered off, high on one of his new concoctions.

"What's that about?" Vaas asked.
He took Rosa's hand in his and kissed it gently, small kisses on her knuckles.
"It's nothing, don't worry." Rosa said quickly, "Lets dance."

But it wasn't nothing.

Entering the warehouse, Doctor Earnhardt waltzed in and found Rosa awake. She was sat on the edge of the bed, her hands resting in the lap, her body still.

"Ah, Rosa. Have you taken some of my things?" he asked.
Rosa nodded slightly, quiet and reserved, which was unusual for her.
"Rosa. It's a sensitive subject but did you take a urine test?" he asked.
Doctor Earndhardt walked over to the girl who had her palms in her lap and was looking at the floor.

"Because ..." she started, her voice a tiny whisper, "Because I think I might be pregnant again."

Doctor Earnhardt took a step back, took out two red pills and swallowed them before speaking.
"Have you done the test?" he asked.
"No, I'm too scared. I'm keeping the test with me though, to do it when I'm ready." she replied, her voice still quiet.

"Have you taken some of the yellow injections?" he asked.
Rosa shook her head, solemnly.

She couldn't have a baby, not now. Everything was fine; she wanted to live some more of her life first. She felt she was too young and after the heartache of last time, she couldn't go through the possibility of losing a baby again. It has crushed her.

It just wasn't the right time but she hadn't done the test to see whether or not it was true. Rosa was too scared.

Doctor Earnhardt nodded and then left the room. Rosa followed, only to bump into Vaas.

The only thought on her mind was the uncertainties of a pregnancy and whether or not Liza would come back.

Hey guys, sorry this chapter is so short but I felt that I had to give you something but this week has been manic and I've been too tired to do any writing. I think I'm facing a writers block or something but anyways, I will try and update soon but I can't pinpoint a time, it will be no more than 4-5 days though, promise. I just need a little recharge and then I'll be fine. As per, I always have things up my sleeves, so don't think that this bit isn't without direction. Until next time, happy reading :)
