Hello, its been awhile now but yes I managed to finish this chp after a few weeks, god, I have been slapped by writers block a few times and now I did it.

Alright, this chp might be a bit short but I try to make it longer and more interesting in the next chp.

Enjoy, disclaimer.

" 'Sup, Kuroko, Kagami...and, blondie?"

Just before the blond head get a chance to introduce himself, my phone decided to cut in rudely.

"Come back home, baby come back home, yeah..."

"Sorry, my phone" I glanced to the screen and saw 'mom' appeared with a bold writing.

"Hello..."

"Kathy get your ass back home right now!" mom sounded frantic and scared.

"Why?"

"Your grandma that's why!" I pulled my phone away and looked at the screen again, yap, it was mother phone number.

"But I thought she's dead?"

"Exactly!" she stated as-the-matter-of-fact. I rubbed my forehead tiredly.

"Alright, I'm coming..."

I glanced back to the ignored blond and gave him a small smile.

"Sorry but I got to go right now...Something about dead grandma came for a visit..." he seemed to be frozen and I quickly ran out.

"Wait!"

...

"Wait!" the blonde haired yelled out to the girl with dark hair but she already went out from the premise, ignoring his call from the distance.

"How could she! She ignored me, Kise Ryouta, Kurokocchi!" he turned his head with style towards the light-shadow duo and whined before the duo with a small tear. Kagami sighed while rubbing his head while the teal haired shadow seemed to blocked all the voice coming out from the blonde haired model by drinking his milk shake with full concentration.

"Can you do something with this...thing..."Hyuuga commented tiredly.

"Just let him be senpai, he needs to be slapped by reality once a while..." Kuroko explained with his blank facade although his eyes seemed to twinkle with amusement.

"You are enjoying this too much Kuroko..."

"I don't know what are talking about..."

"I'm still here you know that, hidoi-ssu!"

Kuroko turned his blank face towards the blond head and making and 'O' shaped mouth showing that he was shocked, "Oh, I didn't notice you..."

"Oh ho! That should be Kuroko statement of the year" Kagami snickered.

"Kurokocchi!Hidoi!"

...

"I'm telling you mom, you had no rights in my family!"

"But you still have our family bloodline inside of you! You can't deny that fact!"

"Ah, should I just change my blood with some else? Will that changes the fact that I'm not in your family then?!"

"HIMEKO!"

Sigh...Mom, reckless as ever...

Someone heaved a tired sigh and silence suddenly came in between them.

"Himeko, I just came here to meet my granddaughter that's all...I have no other intention than that..." a calm but strained voice of a matured lady can be heard clearly.

"No, I will not let you meet her. I know what are you trying to do...Do you think I didn't know the crisis that happened inside the Yuki clan? Hm?"

Yuki clan? Yuki was my mom's family name...Why clan?

"It is my family business and it had nothing to do with you..." the matured lady stated with arrogance inside her voice and I cringed slightly.

Mom snorted, "Ah, and now it's not my business? Haha, funny, but you did say I was a part in your family based on my blood..."Mom threw the comment back sarcastically.

I peeked into the living room and saw my mom was standing in front of a woman wearing a traditional kimono with purple orchid flower pattern. She had the elegance aura around her but her face showed that she was a strict person. My mom and the lady had similar characteristic, small oval face, snow white skin, dark ebony hair and lastly, her short height. The difference between them was their eyes, my mom had a soft but lazy look in her eyes while the woman had a sharp, strict and cold eyes.

They looked like twins minus their character and the eyes.

"Anyway, where is your daughter? I want to see her" she sat down on the pale green cushion with a straight back and placing her hands on her lap just like a noble person. It doesn't sound like she asked, more like a command.

"Psh, the hell...You ain't seeing her!" mom lashed out suddenly and crossed her arms on her chest.

Ah, now I know how family drama feels like...It was melodramatic, suspense and a lot of tongue lashing...and oh, iron maiden...

I sighed and looked down to my feet only to notice someone gaze on my head. I heard a sudden rustle of cloth and a faint foot step coming towards me.

"Katarina, its Katarina right?" it was the woman voice. I brought my face up slowly and met her eyes. Her face seemed to brighten up like a child getting their Christmas present. It looked childish and ...How old was she?!

"Ahaha, yes, yes I am...Althea Katarina..." I introduce myself awkwardly in front of her and scratched my head nervously, not forgetting to pull the bear ear off of my head. I noticed she opened her arms wide and lunged forward for a hug.

"Oh, such a cute daughter you have!" she squealed and hugging tightly around me, cutting all of my oxygen supplies.

"Ah...Wait-" mom swiftly plucked her off me and throws her into the cushion roughly.

"Hey!" the woman grumbled and quickly gets on her feet although she was wearing a heavy kimono.

"Kathy, what are you doing here?!" my eyebrow raised up to my hairline, observing her weird behaviour as she spread out her arms and shielded me from the kimono woman.

"Mom, you did say 'get your ass back here' through the phone earlier or are you having your senior moment right now?" she pouted and puffed her cheeks in disagreement, still maintaining her arms wide and blocked the lady away from me.

The scene was...rather familiar. Mom was blocking the lady with pure determination while the kimono lady tries to broke the shield away, moving from right to the left and making a fake to the left...FAKE?! WE WEREN'T PLAYING BASKETBALL HERE!

She effortlessly broke in and her hand was aiming for my arm but mom quickly intercepts her hand and slapped it away.

Is this some kind of legendary competition that I didn't know of? Mom was really quick on her feet and that lady was wearing a kimono but her move was graceful and effortless, not like my mom, all messy and brutal.

...And I feel somehow annoyed with this...

Pak. Pak

"Ouch!"

"Itee!" both of them were clutching their sore head with a groan.

I know as a filial child I am, I shouldn't do that but I had no other choice and I was handling my mom here, MY MOM people!

I flail my right hand and showed them a limp, yellow plastic chicken in my grip.

Mom was rubbing her head in discomfort and glared at me.

"What's that for?!"

"I'm trying to be a civilized person and not using my older method since we have a guest at this time, but fear not, we will continues this later...one-on-one..."

"OH, ITS ON!"

"WHAT?! I want a part of it too!" the woman said frantically.

...

"So, basically my mom had been kicked out from your family after she ran and married with my father, correct?" my grandmother, since she insisted that I called her that, nodded her head and tucked in some of her dark hair behind her ear. All the three of us after a few minute of diplomatic discussion decided to sit down and have a small talk about the situation.

My mom was sitting beside me, staring at the white tea cup in front of her with an emotionless face. Her finger slowly traced the smooth tea cup a few times and ignoring the look given by the older woman.

The atmosphere seemed a bit heavy and I gave a reassuring smile to my grandmother as she was sitting in front of me. I glanced at the corner of my eyes and saw mom's colour, greyish pink aura emitted around her.

I chuckled silently inside and my lips curved into a smile.

My mom was depressed or maybe sad but still, she had a great affection and love for the woman sitting in front of her.

"But still, you come here just to see me, it's a bit suspicious knowing that you had already kicked mom out and suddenly you came uninvited and stated that you just wanted to see me, your granddaughter...Suspicious nee..."I explained without sparring any glance to my grandma as I pulled mom's hand squeezed it firmly. She looked a bit surprised but she squeezed my hand back with a small smile.

I turned my head towards the older woman and saw her distressed face as she reached out for the warm tea cup and wrapped her hands around it.

"It's about the inheritance-"

BAM

Mom suddenly slammed the table with her palm.

"AH HA! I knew it; you come here to take away my daughter, RIGHT?! And then forced her to marry some handsome face jerk..."

I sighed, "Mom, calm down...She hasn't finished her story yet and you watch a lot of soap drama these days, cut it down and please, watch reality often..." she frowns and glared to her tea cup.

The older woman heaved a heavy sigh, "As I was saying, the inheritance that belonged to the Yuki family should be passed down only to the female family member...Himeko, you do know that in our family there were only two female candidate that is qualified which is you and your older sister, Akira, and since you had ran away from the family, Akira automatically the only heir left..."

Mom's eyebrow rise suddenly, "So, what was the problem?"

"The problem was, she is no longer qualified..." mom forehead creased deeply and she sighed.

"She didn't have a child yet, I assume?" grandma nodded solemnly. Mom promptly rubbed her forehead with an annoyed sigh.

My head tilted to the side with a question inside my mind, why female and not male?

"Uhm, why female? Usually it's the male right?" my grandma and mother chuckled simultaneously.

"I will explained to you the real story behind our family history but to shorten it, the heir supposedly a male but certain circumstances had changed it drastically..." mom stated with a bit of uncertainty in her voice. She then turned to face grandma with a serious expression.

"I can safely assume that my stupid, two other older brothers are fighting about it?" grandma nodded tiredly with a sigh.

"...And my sisters-in-law is having a cold war between them?" mom added and then something just make sense as I understand the situation right now...

"So, mom's older brother wife is in the line to receive it...That's why you wanted mom to enter the family again..." a sudden quietness washed over us and grandma clapped her hand.

"...She's indeed apart of Yuki family, it's in her bloodline..." the older woman nodded her head enthusiastically with a proud smile on her face. I sweat dropped and mom just continuously frowned.

"Do I need to remind you about the blood transfer?" mom retorted back and I face palmed.

"Mom, even if you changed your blood with other person you are still a Yuki...It's in your DNA..." she made an 'o' shaped mouth and fist palmed.

"I need to change my DNA then..."again...reckless...

"MOM!"

"I'm home!" I heard my dad voices in the distance and the sound of closing door. A rustle sound of plastic and my dad foot step heading towards us and he appeared with a wide smile and white plastic in his hand.

"Honey! I found the honey melo-"he froze and frown.

"Why is your mother here?" dad said with a hint of irritation, he was speaking fluently, surprisingly.

"Dad, please mind your language. He is still your mother-in-law whether you like it or not" but dad ignored me and walked up to the table before slamming the table with the content of the plastic which I recognized as honey melon fruit.

"Himeko, why is she here?!" dad voice rose up a bit and his eyes changed immediately, anger and dissatisfied clouding his sight. Grandma rise up from her seat and I, too stands up abruptly startling them.

"Dad! Calm down dammit!" they went quiet all of a sudden. Grandma looked surprised by my sudden outburst before she chuckled lightly.

"My, my, you have raised you daughter well Himeko..." grandma eyes soften as she stared at mom with a proud smile.

"Of course, her name is what she is...Althea Katarina..." Hmm?

I looked at both of them curiously,' what does mom meant by that?'

"Katarina..." I glanced back to dad and saw his eyes shimmering with tears.

"Dad..."

"How could you! You broke my heart!" he claimed childishly before placing his hand over his heart and I sweat dropped.

"So?..."

I showed him the yellow plastic chicken and he scrambled back with both of his hands were placed in front of him in a protective manner.

"That ABOMINATION! Stay back in the name of god!" my mom and grandma sighed at the same time.

"My goodness, your husband is still the same..."
