Mako strained under the weight. "That was a terrible idea."
"You didn't have to agree." Rei's knees threatened to buckle, but she refused to yield.
"You didn't give me much choice."
A jolt silenced Rei's retort. She shot a glare behind her.
"Such a sore loser." Minako reached over Mako's shoulder to pat Rei's head.
"You cheated," Rei snarled.
"Not our fault you didn't see Yuuichiro already swept."
"A bet's a bet!" Usagi cried as she squeezed Rei's neck. "Go faster!"
Victorious cheers drowned out Mako and Rei's groans as they ran down the street with their heavy human backpacks.
