"Victoria why are you doing this now? Amelia just woke up-" Victoria held up one hand to silence him. "Where is he Doctor?" Victoria's tone,though soft, sent chills up his spine.
"H-he...he said he was leaving to the planet Dehounid with in the morning light...his ship is the Blood dragon." Delbert lied through his teeth praying Victoria did not sense it. She narrowed her sea blue eyes and nodded once sweeping past him. Delbert let out a deep breath of relief and walked back into the room of his expecting wife whom was grinning as grin so bright the stars would have been put to shame.
"What has you so happy m'love?" He asked gently kissing her and rubbing her swollen stomach, how a woman of her size could fit four babies with in her small frame astounded him .
"The time is nearing dear." She said in a purring tone as she felt one of the babies gently move. Delbert knew there could be more or less than four but it was a safe guess made by the doctor by feeling Amelia's abdomen when she was near three months on.
"Aye it is Amelia." He smiled now they could focus on their future instead of the present, he then kissed her feeling her fever had gone down considerably.
"Have you gotten to work any?"
"Not at all my love..."
"Delbert how do you expect to get out of that university to get that job as a royal philosopher if you don't work every chance you get!"Amelia said exasperated.
"Amelia, Amelia dear I'm fine, think of the babies."Amelia sighed,
"They're fine love.."Delbert smiled and kissed her.
"I'll start back to work in the morning baby." Debert said gently.
Amelia smiled and nuzzled him purring softly till she feel back asleep, Delbert chuckled kissing her temple softly happy to have his wife and children healthy once again.
"The fourth constellation next to Cyrapus is what?" Delbert said standing in front of his class coffee cup in one hand and wand pointing to a map of stars in the other.
"Erm...Glamoda?"
"No, no Mister Terrance Glamoda is on the north side of Cyapus and is a planet not a constellation." He sighed then heard the beeping of the morse code machine. "Excuse me class I'll only be a moment." He adjusted his glasses on his face seeing it read redl letter. "Oh my oh my oh my." he mumbled picking it up reading it over.
"Good evening Doctor." The voice of Alastor Morrill came looking at the doctor who was preoccupied then to the bored classroom thanking God he didn't teach astrophysics.
Delbert pulled his attention by dropping books and his coffee cup. "I-I-I gotta tow-er g-go!"
"Go? Delbert you-"
"Amelia's went into labor , can you take over my class? thank you Alastor I owe you!" Delbert dashed down the hall hearing Alastor yell after him, " What the hell am I suppose to do with your class I'm a musician not a-oh blast!"
Delbert jumped onto his carriage and clicked the reins for Delilah to go. "Oh God I shoulda just stayed with her and went back to school later, but she said...oh blast it woman get your kids out of the road!" Delbert thought to himself as he sped down the town of Benbow.
People moved out of his way then he jumped off tying delilah to the carriage post and sliding in the transport as the doors were shutting the doors closing on his leg. Delbert yelped an looked to the driver for help who only shrugged. "Sorry buddy can't open it in the air." Delbert slapped his forehead and sighed.
Soon as it landed he fell out dashing out to the hospital that was only a few blocks down and straight to the receptionist. "A-Admiral A-Amelia D-Doppler."
The nurse looked at her charts and smiled ever so slightly, "Right this way Doctor." Delbert followed her to the delivery room and after nearly twenty hours of labor he held one of his three , they'd named her she had bright blond hair and oft blue eyes, he looked over to their exhausted mother whom had three babies laying beside her, an auburn hair'd named Matey, a brunette named Jib, all three having blue eyes. Then there was their only son, aptly named Sunny, who was a canid spitting image of his father.
Delbert kissed Amelia's sweaty brow setting the children in the bassinets and sitting beside her as Victoria nearly burst in. "Tori! there you are girl!" Amelia smiled. "No one told me Mia I'm sorry." Victoria kissed her forehead and peered over at the young ones her features completely soft unlike Delbert had ever seen before. "Oh Mia they're beautiful." She said reaching down and brushing back a strand of hair from Sunny's little face.
:Aren't they?", Amelia gushed , "And healthy extremely healthy." she announced proudly sitting up wincing slightly then Victoria hugged her looking at Delbert, but the look wasn't a happy one...Delbert soon realized one thing...Victoria had found him out.
YAY FOR NOT UPDATING STORIES IN NINE MONTHS WAY TO GO BRITT!
