I was experimenting with scene transitions again – if you can't follow please tell me as I will rectify it.
It was unfortunate but Erin had to head back to the Dracula home. She'd left a number of possessions that while she didn't need, she wanted. She slipped into the school and headed to her room, no one saw her and she was able to pack a bag and leave silently.
She made it to the door of the school.
"Only fools return to the scene of the crime." A harsh voice resonated behind her.
Erin swept round to face her confronter with a smirk. "And only humans wait until it's too late to act." Ingrid stood in a lobby, her hand clenched into a fist. For the third time since becoming a vampire Erin felt worry pool in her stomach.
Ingrid scowled. "Save the cheap comebacks and tell me where my brother is."
The half-fang's eyebrows rose beneath her fringe. "Why do you care?" She shrugged. "I'm doing you a favour - after all, how many times have tried to kill Vlad and failed?"
Erin knew that Ingrid could often be swayed to a cause that benefitted her more than her current one so she allowed a few seconds of silence to pass while Ingrid seemed to contemplate her question.
Then she was knocked on her ass.
Ingrid rushed forward and landed a punch to the abdomen which sent Erin sailing through the doors and into the courtyard. The stone cobbles dug painfully into her shoulder blades and cold damp soaked into her clothes.
The vampiress who'd just hurled her across several metres stormed forward as Erin got to her feet ungracefully. "You're gonna pay for that," She hissed launching herself at the Ingrid as her opponent did the same.
Pain reverberated through Vlad's cheek as one of the slayers hit him. The force caused the severely weakened vampire to hit the floor with a groan. He could barely lift his eyelids due to the amount of argentalium residing in his veins.
He felt warm hands snatch his arms on either side and he was dragged down a smooth concrete corridor. His eyes could scarcely follow the movements they were taking but he recognised slayers.
Too many for this to not end with his demise.
They reached metal doors and then glass doors and finally he was manhandled onto the metal bed.
Straps tightened around his wrists and metal bars secured him on the bed reminiscent of a surgical table. He could do nothing but allow more and more security measures to be applied.
The two vampiress' met in a clash.
Ingrid's fist connected with Erin's jaw and the half-fang hissed haphazardly throwing out a nailed hand. The pointed appendages caught the eldest Dracula and tore two sets of twin scratches along the vampiress' cheek.
Ingrid snatched a handful of Erin's hair and pulled. Perhaps it would be prudent to let the half fang murder her brother but now with vampire black ichor running down her cheek she much preferred the idea of ripping Erin a new one.
Ingrid pulled Erin down to the floor, rolling so she was on the top. Erin forced them to roll several more times. She grabbed Ingrid by the shoulders and slammed her into the floor before leaping into the sky, intending to fly away.
The Dracula's arm shot out and seized her by the boot. She used Erin's partial flight as momentum to smash her into the floor. The half-fang let out a cry as both vampires heard the tell-tale snap of a bone. Ingrid, still clutching Erin's leg, gave it a twist causing the floored vampire to flip over onto her back.
"So…" The heel of Ingrid's boot nudged her heart. "Are you going to tell me where Vlad is or will I stake you with my shoe?" She smirked. "I might miss a few times first."
Erin hissed prompting Ingrid to push her heel in further.
"Tell me-" she growled "-where my little brother is…"
Erin just smiled nastily, blood staining her teeth where she'd shredded her tongue. Ingrid viciously stamped on her chest before snatching her up.
She drew Erin's face to hers and growled. "Answer my question – where is Vlad?"
The vampire spat a fresh mouthful of black onto Ingrid's already bloodied cheek. Ingrid's expression darkened and she drew back a pale fist to beat it out of the half-fang.
Erin seemed to decide it wasn't worth the fight.
"He's with the slayers at the old base." Ingrid let go of the vampiress and they both rose to their feet sporting bloody injuries. Erin gave the Dracula sister a wary look. "They've probably killed him by now."
Crack! Ingrid punched the half-fang in the face and relished in the crunch she heard as Erin dropped like a stone.
"We'll just have to find out."
Somewhere deep in his drugged mind he realised this was where he got off. They could easily kill him and had been trying to for such a long time. He wouldn't make it out. Erin had ensured it.
His unfocussed eyes found the ceiling and what he saw made him think of the horror movies Robin had made him view.
Thousands of glittering needles connected to some kind of pump and flowing with silver liquid.
For the first time since becoming a full vampire, the Chosen One felt utterly powerless.
His powers were submerged in argentalium and as the wall of needles began to descend on him he knew there would be no sudden burst of luck and his powers would not suddenly work again.
As the needles pressed into his skin, softly at first before breaking the skin and driving into his bone, Vlad did the only thing he could.
He screamed.
The fight in this chapter between Erin and Ingrid was one of my core prompts for involving Erin – I really wanted those two to have a cat fight and I wanted Ingrid to slam Erin into the floor with her leg. :) It's nice to see people are still reading despite the show no longer running.
