After spending a full day with her wonderful husband Lyanna was feeling much better. What little colour her pale skin had was back and she had as much energy as ever. Her father and brothers were leaving in the next two days so Rhaegar had arranged for a hunting trip for them all. He knows how much family means to Lyanna and he knows how much she enjoys hunting. At first Rhaegar was sceptical about her riding and hunting after being ill so recently but one look into her eyes, he saw the want and need.

Rhaegar was happy about having time to get to know Lyanna's family. He had always wanted to know new people especially people close to someone he loves. His wife had been wanting to go hunting again after their day in the Kingswood. There were plenty of boar in the Kingswood so they could all make a kill, if they had time as they were all expected back by nightfall for a feast with the king. Rhaegar wasn't looking forward to that. He also invited Jaime to hunt with them but Aerys was adamant about keeping him close.

The brisk morning breeze came through the windows of Rhaegar and Lyanna's chambers, the cold air made Lyanna feel more comfortable but the same couldn't be said for her husband. Being from the North this would be a warm day in summer, she missed Winterfell. Rhaegar started to stir and grumble about the draft, he slowly lifted his head revealing a tangle of hair that had developed in his sleep. Lyanna had braided her hair before she slept so it didn't distract her in the night. Rhaegar wrapped his arm tighter around Lyanna and slightly dragged her closer to him, she turned her head so their lips met in a morning kiss.

"Morning, beautiful" Rhaegar croaked

"Good morning" Lyanna chirped back

"Why are you so happy?" Rhaegar asked lifting his head a bit more and resting his body on his elbow

"We are going hunting with my family today" Lyanna said excitedly

"Are you feeling sick today?" Rhaegar asked

"Not at all" Lyanna said back and pecked Rhaegar on the cheek before bouncing off the bed

"Good" Rhaegar smiled and sat on the edge of the bed

"I am so happy that you arranged for this" Lyanna gleamed from her dressing table

"I am excited to get to know your family" Rhaegar said but in truth he was apprehensive

"You look more terrified than excited" Lyanna said and sat beside him "Don't worry, they'll love you" Lyanna said and kissed him lightly on the mouth before she returned to her dressing table

Lyanna took out her messy braid and replaced it with a neater one. Harla did her duties and then left the couple in their chambers. Rhaegar picked out a grey tunic for himself with black trousers. Lyanna chose a white, males tunic teamed with grey trousers and her usual brown cloak. Rhaegar looked at his wife in awe, even in men's clothing she looked beautiful, her skin as pale as snow which contrasted against her dark, thick hair.

"Lets go" Lyanna said excitedly

Rhaegar took her hand as the both walked to the stables and met up with the rest of the Starks. Robert Baratheon also stood there next to Ned. Rickard Stark was tall and lean, he had grey eyes like Lyanna and dark hair. He had a short beard that sculpted his long face. Brandon Stark was tall and had a very muscly build, his eyes were grey but seemed lighter than the rest of the Starks, he also had dark shoulder length hair and a short beard. Ned Stark looked like a younger, more gentle version of his older brother. All the Stark men were stood with their steeds, putting things in the bags on the saddles. Lyanna's horse, Nymeria, was already saddled and all Lyanna needed was her sword and bow.

"You lot ready to hunt?" Lyanna said excitedly "Also I didn't know Robert was accompanying us?" Lyanna added

"Course we are and Ned invited 'im" Brandon boomed

"Lets go then" Rickard said in a gentle yet commanding voice

They rode through the woods, leaves crunching underneath their horse's hooves. Quiet animal sounds and the trickle of water filled the silence. Lyanna rode close to her husband and Ned whereas the two older Starks rode ahead. Robert trailed behind on his huge warhorse. There was a huge stag by the side of a murky pool in the distance, Lyanna spotted it, it was her kill. She slowly removed her bow from her saddle bag and silently got an arrow out. She aimed for the beasts head and shot it. All the men looked at her in surprise as they hadn't spotted the stag. She laughed and rode over to the beast.

By the side of the pool lay the dying stag, its ginger spotted coat stained with blood. Her arrow hadn't hit its head but she got it in the neck. The dying animal was letting out yelps until Lyanna pulled out her dagger and took the animal out of its misery. The rest of the hunting party stood around her as she killed it. Robert looked shocked, her brothers and father looked proud and her husband looked in awe - as if she was the most perfect thing he had ever seen. Rhaegar got off his horse and helped Lyanna with the body, he put it over his younger and bigger horse as they decided to carry on until they killed another beast.

Robert rode up next to Lyanna "Good kill you made, could have been better if you hit it in the head but you've got keen eyes girl" Robert laughed

"Thank you" Lyanna said in a sarcastic tone

"How's married life, he treating you right?" Robert asked

"He is perfect" Lyanna said to her once betrothed

"Good" Robert said in a huff and rode up to Ned

"Thank you" Rhaegar said from behind Lyanna

"Its rude to listen to other people's conversations" Lyanna joked

"I could see the disgust on your face when he was talking, I thought I would rescue you but you are clearly able to do so yourself" Rhaegar said as his hair blew in the wind

"I love you" Lyanna simply said

"I love you too" Rhaegar said back

The rest of the party had stopped as Lyanna and Rhaegar caught up with them. Brandon had his spear out as a boar was in the distance. It hadn't seen them yet as he slowly approached. His grey eyes shone with determination. He was about to lunge at the boar as another wild boar came from the side of him and ran into him. Its huge tusks ripped the Stark open at his belly. Lyanna screamed as Rickard, Rhaegar and Robert got off their horses and killed both boars. Lyanna ran over to her brother's weak body.

"Brandon, we are going to get you back and fixed up. Grand maester Pyc..." Lyanna was stopped

"No, dear sister. It is my time to die" Brandon weakly said

"You cant. I wont let you" Lyanna cried

The rest of the party surrounded the dying man "Father, look after my wife. Lyanna don't cry, I will be with mother" Brandon said and coughed up his life's blood

Lyanna wept as Rhaegar put his arm around her to comfort her. Rickard had a blank look on his face and Ned looked shocked. Robert tried to comfort Ned but was unable to make him feel any better.

After a couple of minutes Robert got back on his horse and rode back to the Keep for help. The rest didn't move. Lyanna's tears soaked Rhaegar's cloak as he held her. Ned just knelt on the floor and looked almost angry. Rickard still had a blank look on his face. Rhaegar's hope of getting to know the Starks and now changed to trying to comfort the Starks.

After a while Robert returned with some guards men. They got the body and carried it back to the Keep. The Starks rode in silence behind.

Once they got to the Keep a crying Catelyn Stark, once Catelyn Tully, ran to the Starks. She ran to Lyanna and embraced her. The crying women embraced for a long time until Catelyn could bring it to herself to move. The Keep was silent as the grave as the heir to Winterfell was dead.

sorry about the sad.
