Brandon Stark was dead. Rhaegar kept repeating it to himself, he didn't know how to react. Was it his fault for arranging the hunting trip, would people blame him? Would he loose the North? Rhaegar always worried about what people thought of him, he always had. After Brandon Stark's death the kingdom had been silent even Aerys hadn't caused any trouble or burnt anyone. Rickard and Ned Stark had gone home accompanied by the widow Catelyn Stark who was with child.

Lyanna couldn't get over the death of her oldest brother. She had always loved her brothers they always treated her as a equal opposed to treating her like a lady. Brandon even helped train her and Benjen with swords. When she closed her eyes she could remember the happy times with her brother, all the nice things he had done for her, his wedding was a lovely memory. Ned would be the heir to the North now, her shy wolf.

For the last couple of weeks it had been hard for Lyanna to communicate, even with Rhaegar. He tried his best to comfort her, even little Viserys had tried to cheer her up. She had awful nightmares, she dreamt that her own child was killed and her husband. She had a recurring scene of Rhaegar being killed with a war hammer. She woke up in tears to the concerned look of Rhaegar most nights. It scared him as well as her. Her sickness in the morning also returned as the weeks progressed. Pycelle had said it was grief.

It had been awful in Kingslanding for Rhaegar as his one joy in life seemed to have her life crumbling down around her, her brother gone and the rest of her family gone back up North. Lyanna was isolated in a place full of people and therefore that made Rhaegar feel isolated without his joyous wife to cheer him up and help him escape from his life. Rhaegar now knew that without Lyanna he couldn't go on. She was the rock of his life so now he had to be hers.

After four weeks Rhaegar decided he had to do something for Lyanna, to make her happy. That morning when the sun had only just arisen in the sky to make it a lovely orange, Rhaegar quickly and quietly got dressed into plain clothing with a black cloak. He departed his chambers and met Ser Jaime Lannister outside. They were both wearing dark clothes so no one knew who they were and went out of the Keep. They walked through the city, some people gave them dirty looks but as the two men showed the hilt of their swords the people looked away. They went to a expensive jewelry maker which had only just opened its doors.

Inside two fully armed men stood next to the door. "What is your business 'ere" One asked. He had black oily hair and was wearing a dull and worn out breastplate.

"I here to collect my order" Rhaegar confidently said and removed the hood of his cloak to reveal Targaryen hair

"Yes my prince" He lead him through to the old man stood in the back room

"My prince, Ser" The old man bowed "The necklace is ready, just as you wanted it" The man got out a wooden box and opened it.

The necklace was silver. Each link in the chain looked like a snowflake. On the necklace there were four direwolf pendants, each different. Each direwolf represented each of the Stark children. The first looked hairier and bigger than the rest, the next looked gentle yet strong. The next was the most beautiful with large eyes encrusted with sapphires. The last was slightly darker and had a happy face. Rhaegar found it hard to describe Benjen Stark only seeing him once at the tourney when Lyanna poured wine over him. Rhaegar smiled at the memory.

Rhaegar closed the box and left the shop with Jaime. They put their hoods back up to disguise who they were as any unhappy peasant could attack and when multiple do it could overwhelm them, even being the amazing fighters they were. Rhaegar had suggested starting to train with Jaime as Jaime was known as one of the best, Arthur Dayne was considered better but Rhaegar wanted to get to know Jaime and maybe even discover what Aerys did behind closed doors. Rhaegar was fond of Jaime as they had grown closer as friends when Lyanna wasnt talking and Rhaegar would go to Jaime.

"That is a beautiful necklace my prince, Lady Lyanna will love it" Jaime said as they walked up an empty street

"I hope she does, perhaps it might lift her spirits after the terrible accident with her brother" Rhaegar said turning to look at Jaime

"I have heard she also has a sickness" Jaime said innocently

"Pycelle can never be quiet can he? yes she does. Pycelle says its because of grief"

"I would ask another maester to look her over, Pycelle isnt very good"

"I will later" Rhaegar smiled as they entered the yard of the Keep

"I will see you later in the training yard my prince" Jaime said and bowed

"You too Ser Jaime"

Rhaegar went back into his chambers where, like most mornings now, he found Lyanna throwing up into the chamber pot. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. She looked back at him with hurt in her eyes. Rhaegar hated seeing her like this.

"I woke up and you wern't there, where did you go?" Lyanna asked

"To get you something. We are seeing another maester, this isnt grief, I am worried about you" Rhaegar said and produced the wooden box from underneath his cloak

He handed it to Lyanna. She slowly opened it, once she saw it she had tears trying to escape her eyes. She took it out of the box gently and admired it. She lifted each direwolf head and looked more closely at them until she realized who they each resembled. Lyanna looked at Rhaegar with a tear streaming down her porcelain cheek. She mouthed 'thank you' and then wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

"Do you like it?" Rhaegar asked

"I love it, I will wear it every day" Lyanna said still wrapped around Rhaegar

"Good. Now come on we're going to a different maester" Rhaegar said getting them both up from the floor

"I will just get dressed as I dont wish to walk around the Red Keep in my small clothes, that is not what people will want of their future queen" Lyanna chuckled

"I will change out of these dull clothes also" Rhaegar said looking at his brown clothing

Lyanna picked out a simple dark purple, silk dress. It shimmered in the sun light . As she slipped it on it didn't fit too tight which was good because Lyanna has been finding her more figure hugging dresses getting too tight around the stomach region, she thinks it is just eating more than at Winterfell and being made to drink wine regularly.

Rhaegar picked out a tunic of black and silver which made his hair look as if it was woven silver. He took his lady's arm and they departed from their large chambers. They walked slowly, smiling at any person they saw. Once they found the chambers of the other maester. He was younger than Pycelle and less shaky. His hair was grey instead of white and he had an impressive chain hanging low around his neck.

"My prince, My lady" The maester said loudly and bowed

"I would ike you to look over my wife, she has been being sick most mornings and I am worried" Rhaegar said and stood up straight

"Yes my prince, come here my lady" The maester held his hand out

Lyanna took his small hand and he led her into his chambers, Rhaegar closely behind. The maester looked into Lyanna's mouth and at her eyes. He then grabbed a book to look through it quickly. He smiled and returned to the couple.

"My Lady when was your last moons blood?"

"Just before my wedding I suppose" Lyanna said still unaware at what he was saying

"I believe my lady is with child"

Lyanna and Rhaegar looked at each other and smiled an almost childish smile. Rhaegar thanked the maester and asked him not to tell anyone before he grabbed Lyanna by the waist and swung her around in the air. She giggled and then Rhaegar brought her down and kissed her deeply.

"I love you" Rhaegar said when he broke the kiss

"I love you too" Lyanna uttered back

"And I love you" Rhaegar said gently poking Lyanna's belly

Lyanna giggled. They then walked quickly back to their chambers. Rhaegar kissed his wife over and over until he was out of breath, he had not been this happy since his wedding day. He glee must have been rubbing off on Lyanna as well as she couldn't stop smiling and returning his kisses.

"When will we tell your father?" Lyanna asked

"Today, if that is okay with you"

"Of course it is okay with me" Lyanna said and kissed her silly husband
