"What is it!" Rhaegar asked frantically

"The King, he is going to burn her" The knight said quickly

"WHAT?!" Rhaegar shouted and then ran down the halls of the Red Keep

Rhaegar ran as fast as he could, he was already tired from sparring with Jaime but he ran as fast as he could. He had to get to her. He had to save her from his father. Rhaegar had tears in his eyes, he had brought her here. He had put her in danger. He should have been with her. He hated his father more than any man in the seven kingdoms, he didn't care that he was his father. He hated him and would hurt him if any harm has come to Lyanna.

Rhaegar imagined hid beautiful wife in the chains that his father used to chain people up to burn. He imagined her shouting his name for help and he wasnt there. His legs started to ache and his chest was heaving, he ignored it all as he had to get to Lyanna. Then the thought of his unborn child graced his thoughts. He needed to get to her and for his child. He needed to save her.

The pyromancer inched closer to Lyanna, she wept. With all her strength she tried to get out of the constricting chains but she couldn't. Not even the strongest man in the seven kingdoms could get out of the heavy iron chains. The collar around her neck was dragging her down and draining her strength. She wanted Rhaegar. She needed Rhaegar.

Rhaegar ran closer to the throne room, he could hear his wife's quiet cries and he could hear his father laughing at her misery and the thought of her death. Rhaegar ran through the doors. The mad king looked at him and stopped laughing. A pyromancer was right next to Lyanna with a cask of wild-fire. Rhaegar looked at his wife. She had bruises all over her body, blood was running down her face, arms and legs. She was heavily chained up, her legs not reaching the floor. Rhaegar wanted to cry at the sight of her, she was crying. She was crying his name. He had tears in his eyes just thinking of how many times she must have called and he wasnt there.

Lyanna lifted her head as the king stopped laughing. The doors to the throne room had opened. She saw him. She saw her husband with tears in his eyes at the sight of her. That made her cry even more but not in sadness. He was going to save her. Her dragon knight was going to save her. She watched him run up to her. He cupped his hands around her pain filled face. She didnt care about the pain, the feeling of his warm hands outweighed the pain. She looked into his violet eyes with tears filling them. She then heard the man king stand up.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" The king shouted at Rhaegar

"WHY SHOULD I?, SHE IS MY WIFE! WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS? WHY? IS YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE TO MAKE YOUR FAMILY'S LIVES A MISERY? YOU ARE JUST A MAD MAN WHO IS NOT FIT TO RULE THIS COUNTRY" Rhaegar shouted back

"HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO YOUR FATHER LIKE THAT?!" The king shouted even louder, Lyanna could see the fury in his eyes

"YOU AREN'T A FATHER! A FATHER WOULDNT TRY TO BURN HIS SON'S WIFE AND LOVE. A FATHER WOULDN'T TRY AND KILL HIS UNBORN GRANDCHILD! THERE ARE NO VOICES IN YOUR HEAD, ONLY YOUR BLIND HATRED OF SOMEONE WHO ISNT YOU!" Rhaegar continued the shouting battle

Rhaegar quickly took the chains off as his father didn't reply. He was so angry but he was gentle when taking off the chains, he didn't want to cause any further pain to his beautiful wife. He sat her down on the floor but kept a reassuring hand on her shoulder. She winced at every slight movement. Rhaegar wanted to hold her and never let anyone hurt her again. He turned back to his father. The Mad King had moved off his throne and was slowly approaching Rhaegar.

"DON'T YOU DARE COME ANY CLOSER" Rhaegar shouted but Aerys ignored him

"I want you to leave. Viserys will be a better king and he will marry his sister and have worthy heirs to my ancestor's throne" Aerys said calmly

"I will leave, I will leave with my wife and have a much better life without you. I pity my little brother to have to put up with an AWFUL father like you!" Rhaegar replied

"I should have never made this match" The king said and walked closer to Lyanna "This dog" Aerys lifted up a blood covered lock of Lyanna's hair

"Don't you dare touch her again!" Rhaegar commanded

"Or what?, son. You have grown soft, you would never hurt your kin" The king mocked back

Aerys slowly lifted another piece of Lyanna's hair and slightly tugged. Lyanna winced and watched the same fury she saw in Aerys' eyes, in Rhaegar's. She was worried that he would do something stupid. Rhaegar was always sensible, they should just go and live their life and grow old together. Across the narrow sea or even in Winterfell. She didnt care as long as she had him and was out of this awful place.

Rhaegar looked at Lyanna. It seemed like he had tears in his eyes but Lyanna couldnt tell as her eyes were swollen from the beating she had recieved. Her husband looked back at his father. The mad king laughed manically. Rhaegar looked back at Lyanna and mouthed 'i'm sorry'. She didnt know what he would do but she was scared for his safety and her own.

Rhaegar stared into his father's mad eyes. Aerys started laughing in his face. His father was truly mad. Rhaegar had never wanted this. All he had ever wanted was to read and go into tourneys once in a while. He wanted Lyanna though, he had always wanted love and he found it. As his father continued to laugh, Rhaegar had no choice. No choice.

He remembered the good times he had with his father. Once when Aerys had taken him to the library and showed him all of the irreplaceable books. Rhaegar had never been so happy, his father had chuckled when Rhaegar had gotten excited at most of the books. Then Tywin Lannister had shown up at his side and taken his father away. Rhaegar was left to explore the miraculous library. He stacked up the books and scriptures he had wanted to read, soon he had half of the library stacked up on a desk. He was proud of himself.

He remembered walking around the throne room as his father made him recite the dragon's names as they passed each skull. He had remembered each name as he had read books on all the Targaryen dragons. They were always his favourite books. He sometimes remembered the riders names and then his father was always really impressed with him.

His father used to tell him that he would make a great king.

Now Rhaegar stood there with the family sword in his hand. The doors opened as Jaime walked in. He stopped and stared at what was going on. That was when Rhaegar, son of Aerys II Targaryen plunged the Targaryen sword into his own father. Forever becoming a Kinslayer and a Kingslayer. Jaime rushed up to the scene.

"Go, get out of here. Take Lyanna and make a new life somewhere. I will take the blame" Jaime urged the couple

"No! I could never let you. You would be sent to the wall for the rest of your days and labelled as the kingslayer and I could never ut you through that" Rhaegar replied

"You are too kind but I can deal with it"

"War will soon start. I want you by Lyanna at all times" Rhaegar ordered

"At all times" Jaime repeated
