Lyanna paced around the tower. It didn't feel like a tower of joy, it was the tower of torment. Rhaegar had gone a week ago to try and treat with Robert Baratheon. Her only company was Jaime Lannister and Arthur Dayne, they were nice men and she got along with them but they weren't her family or Rhaegar. She needed Rhaegar, it was nearly her time and she wanted him there.

It was hot in the day time which would make a normal man want to lie down never mind a pregnant woman. Lyanna didn't know how much more she could take. Her belly was increasing in size all the time, she was bigger than any other pregnant woman she had ever seen. The knights tried to comfort her but she didn't feel comfortable.

As Lyanna sat at the table, drinking water, she heard the news of her father. They weren't certain it was her father but the maester knew of his intentions to come to Dorne and they had found a horse's corpse with a Stark shield on it. It could be no one else but Lyanna was desperately hoping it was. Her father had died coming for her.

She sat down on the huge, feather filled bed and put her head in her hands. The tears ran through her fingers and dropped on the wooden floor, it was the only sound in the whole tower. Her grief had changed the entire atmosphere in the tower, no one went into her room or even walked passed the door way. Lyanna was glad that they had left her alone but in her heart she desperately needed a hug, a hug from her prince.

Jaime came to her after a day of allowing her to mourn. The knight looked like his usual self, his golden hair perfectly straight and to his shoulder, his armour still as shiny as the day it was made. Whereas Lyanna didn't look her normal beautiful self, her brown hair was tangled and out of place, her dress was ill-fitting as her belly was stretching the fabric, her eyes were read and puffy from crying day and night. She definitly didn't look like the beauty of the North.

"My lady" Jaime hesitantly said, Lyanna grunted in reply "The maid has informed me that you are not eating, that is unhealthy for you and your baby" Jaime said placing a plate of food on the table

"How would you know?, you are just six-and-ten" Lyanna said bitterly

"I may be six-and-ten but I have seen more in my years then men have in their lifetimes, my lady, you are a good woman and I care about your welfare. Please can you just eat something" Jaime pleaded

"My father is dead" Lyanna said looking at the dusty floor

"My mother is dead" Jaime replied

"Was that your fault?" Lyanna spat

"No but it was because my brother was born. But it wasn't his fault, he did not purposely do it, he did not want her dead. You did not kill your father, you did not cause his death. He came to Dorne to get you, yes, but it was not your intention to cause his death and you should not blame yourself" Jaime ranted

"If I had died at Kings Landing he never would have came to Dorne and been attacked"

"If you had died at Kings Landing the child in your belly would have died and Rhaegar would be devastated" Jaime replied

"Yes but my father was supposed to live. Everyone was supposed to live. I wish this war had never started!" Lyanna nearly shouted

"I don't think anyone wanted this war to start, my lady"

"Robert Baratheon did, he convinced my little brother and wants to kill Rhaegar after all he did was save me. Once Robert Baratheon wanted my hand and Cersei wanted Rhaegar's. I think jealousy and hate is fuelling this war"

"Well all we have to do is win then" Jaime said with a small smile

"Yes, we need to win" Lyanna smiled back

"Get them out of here" Rhaegar commanded to some loyal guards

"Where should we take them?" One asked

"Dragonstone and if it is taken, across the Narrow Sea. Protect them with your life as if they were your own children" Rhaegar commanded and then crouched down so he was eye level with Viserys who was holding Daenerys "I will see you soon and if I don't then be the best man you can be. You are the dragon, never forget that little brother" Rhaegar said and ruffled Viserys' shoulder length, soft, white hair

Hey so sorry about the absoulte forever it took to update. I started college and had to do exams and then had a rest and then got obsessed with a new tv show and all that stuff. Enjoy this sucky chapter :)
