Okay, so it's high time I finished updating this story. I've had the entire chapter series written for nearly a year...
(Obviously this was written before I watched the final film. Luckily, or it would have gone on forever.)
His eyes would not open no matter how he tried. He heard Fili speaking to him, and he wanted to answer. Fire, icy cold and burning and freezing him from the inside out still burned inside his back.
Kili wondered if anyone had managed to spring the gates. He did not fear being captured – not anymore.
He would proudly face death if his Lady was here.
