shit i haven't been here for ages. Have Donnel. I tried.

Donnel I ~I Love Ya~

"I love ya, I don't reckon I could live without'cha! Let's you an' me settle down on the farm!"

Robin, leaving her trademark coat on her chair, sighed as she looked over her burnt arm. The past week or so had been…eventful.

She had learnt how to set traps with Donnel, who had taught her a lot and they caught a lot of food. The issue was cooking the meat and fish…Robin ended up with her arm covered in boiling water and Donnel ran to try and get water for her, resulting in some very burnt food and they nearly caused a fire.

They got off lucky with Chrom just giving them a slap on the wrist. He was seriously more worried about Robin having a serious burn on her arm. Donnel was lucky he got the water as quickly as he did.

But it was clear that the village boy felt terrible for her having such an injury…she only spotted him around camp every so often. He was avoiding her entirely. She tried asking other soldiers about how he was acting, but he seemed normal around everyone else, he was just…blanking her.

And it was annoying…she liked Donnel. A LOT. He was a sweet young man who was really coming into his own. He knew a lot and he was actually pretty skilled at a lot of things, to say he came from a small village not far from the capital.

She was sad that he didn't want to talk to her…all because of some silly burn that was healing well because of how quickly he reacted to it. It would have been worse if he didn't react right...

She had to find where he was hiding from her.

"Donny? Donny? Stop ignoring me, Donnel. I want to talk to you."

No reply…Really, he was determined. She knew he was usually out in the woods, building traps. So, he was either further in with a dead boar…or was just very good at hiding.

Turns out he was just good at hiding, seeing as she heard a loud 'oof' when she angrily threw a tree branch into a wriggling bush.

"R-Robin, what th' heck was that for?!"

"If you quit ignoring me I wouldn't have to throw things!"

"Heaven's, I'm not ignorin' ya…"

She put her hands on her hips as she watched him crawl out of his hiding place, standing in front of her, like he was a pouting child. "Then explain yourself. You've not spoken to me in days."

"I just felt pretty bad about yer arm…I wanted to find a way to make it up to ya!"

"…So, you just didn't speak to me?"

"No, no! That's not it! I-I wanted to give ya something ta make ya feel better…I couldn't find anythin' though…Kinda…"

"Kinda? Donny, what are you talking about?"

"Never mind…I'm sure I'll show ya later. But, heck, Robin…sorry if ya thought I was ignorin' ya…"

He genuinely did seem sorry…feeling bad about a burnt arm just felt silly to Robin, but if it were her in his shoes, she might have felt the same way. "Well…as long as you actually talk to me again, all will be forgiven."

"I'm glad! C'mon, I got some new fish thanks to yer tricky hooks!"

"That sounds wonderful, Donny. Are they big?"

"Huge! C'mon and see!"

The two ended up sat by a river, examining the large fish that Donnel had caught. He looked pretty proud of himself, to say the least. He was pretty good at hunting, though, so she couldn't blame him.

"You were right, this is a wonderful catch. I'm sure Chrom will be happy to see this."

"Yeah…but are you happy about it, Robin?"

"Hm? Why does that matter?"

"Well…I don't really do this for his majestyfulness. I do it 'cuz it's fun and…well, I get ta hang around with you more. And that's the most fun I can ever have!"

"How sweet…well, I'm very happy about it, Donny." It was the truth, too. Robin enjoyed being with Donnel, especially when he was happy and excited. He was a ray of sunshine…

But, she'd never say that to him…that would be far too embarrassing…

"Well, I'm gosh darn happy about that! I hope I don't speak out of turn…"

"Out of turn? Oh, Donny, you could never do such a thing. Trust me, you're a wonderful young man."

"Ah, darn…you're treating me like a lil' kid, Robin…"

"O-Oh. I don't mean to."

"Yeah, I know. You're just a really carin' person. That's why everybody loves ya so much!"

"Well, I suppose I'm glad." Her sweet smile was enough to make the young man's face turn as red as a tomato and all he really could say was…well, an embarrassed mumble. "I'm sorry? Did you say something?"

"U-Uhh…well, kinda. I was kinda curious about somethin'…strange…"

"Strange, you say? Well, I'm a strange person, so go ahead, Donny."

"Pretty sure this is stranger than most things…"

"Stranger than an amnesiac that was found in a field by the future exalt?"

"Okay, you win…" as much as the two had a little chuckle about the scenario, it at least gave Donnel some confidence in his strange questions. "Is there…anyone who ya really like?"

"Who I really like? Well…I really like you, Donny."

"R-Really?"

"Of course. I really like you, Chrom, Lissa, Frederick…all of the army!"

Oh…well, at that moment, Donnel realized just how slow Robin could ACTUALLY be. To say she was one of the smartest women he knew, it was hard to tell her about how you feel…hell, Donnel had fallen head over heels for this woman, but…well, he was a simple country boy who could barely lift a sword without dropping it onto his toes and spending the rest of the day in with a cleric. So…falling for the army's tactician; the woman who was closest to Chrom and his family…it felt like hell for him.

"O-Oh…well, that's good…Gosh darnit-!"

"D-Donny? Is something wrong?"

"N-No, just…havin' a bad day, I think…I-I…I didn't mean do you have 'friends' I meant…do ya have someone you…well…wanna be with, I guess?"

"…is that what you're frustrated about?"

"A little…"

"Well, now…This is definitely revealing a lot."

"Ahhhh, I'm sorry! I don't mean ta step outta line, Robin."

"Out of line? You're doing no such thing."

He really felt like he was. He had basically just confessed that he had fallen for her and he was still just sat with her like it was nothing. Though, she clearly wanted to press the matter…

"Come now, Donny…don't hold yourself back, you'll just stress yourself out."

"It's nice how much you care, Robin…Guess that's why I'm falling for ya."

"Falling for me? How long has this been going on for?"

"Probably since ya first started helpin' me out with my fishing hooks and I started teaching ya to hunt. Yer just…really fun ta be around. And…I love that about ya."

"My…how sweet. I suppose that's what I love about you, too."

"W-Wait, love? A-Ahh!"

"D-Donny?!"

In shock, Donnel found himself tripping over the air and falling backwards into the grass, practically ready to roll down a hill if Robin wasn't there to grab his arms.

For a while, Donnel shuffled back next to her, his face red as he didn't dare to say anything to Robin. She wanted him to respond, clearly…hey, she was just staring at him, waiting for him to give a response, but…nothing. He didn't know what to say to her.

"…Donny? Nothing?"

"N-nothin'…"

"Well…If you were telling me how you felt, I wanted to make sure you knew how I felt, too."

"T-Thanks…"

"Come on, Donnel, you can say more than that."

"I-I don't know what ta say about all this…!"

He was more embarrassed when he heard the tactician chuckling about it all. He did NOT need her finding amusement in all this…

"You don't want to respond? Then…I suppose I will. Well, you say you fell for me, then I feel the same way. You're such fun to be around. You're a charming and sweet young man."

"Y-You're embarrassin' me…"

"Well, I suppose you should get used to it, then."

"D-Does…that mean you'd possibly…marry me, then?"

"M-Marry?" Looks like the tables had turned. Now she was the one who was embarrassed while Donnel got to chuckle.

"You said you'd fallen for me, so…why not?"

"…Haha…aren't you still a little young?"

"H-Hey! I-I'm not a kid, Robin!"

"I know, I know. I'm kidding. Maybe wait for a while before we go jumping to marriage, though. You got a little excited, huh?"

"Maybe a little…s-sorry about that."

"Don't be."

As the two laughed with each other, Robin felt her face grow a little redder. She felt a little too happy with herself…she was so glad that Donnel wasn't ignoring her like she thought he was. He was trying to help and now she found out that the young man had very similar feelings for her that she had for him.

She was so happy. And she was sure she would be for years to come.
