Owen look to the source of voice, it's William, that's time he realize he has done the stupidest thing in his life. He let his arm from Cristina.
William was very angry, his pride hurt seeing Owen hurting his wife, he punched his face twice hard, until Owen fall to the ground.
Owen realize he the one is guilty in this case but his ego as man make him stood up and punch William back, Cristina scream "stop it, please stop hurting each other", seeing her husband being hurt, she tried to stop it, but he is too powerful for her petite body, her body slammed into the road when she tried to block Owen to punched her husband for more.
"Cristina" William shout when seeing his wife slammed to the ground, Owen stop his movement.
Cristina tried to sit, she was holding her pain waist, her hand get a scratch, she cried, "Owen, please stop hurting my husband, don't you feel enough hurting me for this long, I'm begging you, please just leave me and my family alone" she cried pleading.
Owen heart shattered, one more time he hurt his love of live, he get down on knee, his tears stream from his eyes, "I'm sorry Cristina, I'm really sorry", he stood up then walk away.
"Honey, are you okay?" William worried, helping his wife to stand, "I'm fine", Cristina stroked William face, "it is hurt?" while touch his bruise jaw, "it's nothing, honey, promises me, you'll never hurt yourself for me anymore, because it hurt me more when seeing you being hurt" while kissing her forehead, he hug his wife tightly, Cristina hug him back while let her tears on his chest, because she still shock with this all condition, "it's okay honey, I'm here now" William try to comfort her.
Owen look back to parking lot before get into taxi, he saw, Cristina and William hug tightly, he can't deny that he feel guilty and devastated.
William want to make sure that Cristina is fine, he called Izzie, which has on-call duty that night, to carried Nathan, while he help Cristina walk to ER. Cristina try refuse it, but William insist, because he can see that Cristina held a pain when she walk, he also said that he need a flu shot.
"Cristina, what happened?" Izzie asked when pick up Nathan in parking lot, seeing William help her to walk, "nothing Izzie, I just fell", "are you sure? And what happen with your face William?" Izzie asked worried, "there someone tried to robbed Cristina, thankfully I came in right time, and we get fight, it's okay, he gone now", William covered the situation.
After get Cristina and Nathan home, William tell Cristina that it's better for Nathan to stay at Helen this night because he afraid that his flu will contagious to him, and he also not sure whether Cristina can take care Nathan in this state. Cristina approve it, she really need bed rest, because her waist in pain.
After prepare Nathan diaper and clothes, William drive to Helen house, he comes to her house with mask to cover his bruise, he tell her that he with Cristina has flu, they worry that Nathan will get sick if stay with them tonight, Helen with pleasure help to take care Nathan, thankfully Nathan already in deep sleep so it's not hard to hand him with his grandmother.
William drive his car to airport, he looking for Owen, he saw man look miserable sitting by himself in fast food restaurant at airport, William take a sit in front of him, Owen shocked, "what you doing here?".
"it's okay, I don't come here to have one more fight with you, how your face?, I'm sorry" William talked to Owen.
"I'm the one supposed to said sorry, what I just did is inappropriate, and stupid, I'm really sorry, how Cristina?, is she hurt badly?" Owen asked worried.
William said, "this all not completely your false, I have contribution in it, I directly encourage you to did this stupid thing, I really have no idea that you are Cristina ex-husband when we first met, I'm sorry Hunt, I know that you really hurt because you accidentally hurt her, she is okay, she just need bed rest, I'll bring her tomorrow to masseur".
Owen can't help his tears, "I love her so much, she is love of my life, but all I did just hurt her, I visit her for apologize, but end up hurt her more". Owen can't hide his frustration.
"Hunt, she is my wife now, I love her so much too, I'll never hurt her, I promise you that, she is move on, so I hope you also try to do the same, I know you a decent man, Cristina tell me everything about you and burke, you always have place in her heart, I can't change that, but Cristina future is with me and Nathan now", William stand up and said "take care Owen".
William drove back to his house," why take it so long honey, I worry about you" Cristina asked her husband, " I spent time chat with your mom for a while" William lied, he go to bathroom to shower, after get clean he cuddled Cristina to sleep in his arm, Cristina stroked his face, she kissed his forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks and last kissed his lips sweetly, "I love you so much Jason", then rest her head in his chest "I know, I love so much too honey" while caress her hairs.
William keep caress Cristina hairs until she fall asleep, his mind going to Owen, he felt sorry for him, he can't imagine if Owen know that Nathan is his son, and now he is the one, that Nathan called dad, he can see that Owen really love Cristina from his eyes, seeing Owen desperate make him more guilty for him, but he also can't live without Cristina and Nathan, the accident today make him realize that Cristina love him, seeing the scratch in her hand, make him remember when Cristina body get slammed to the ground to protect him, his eyes get teary, he caress her face, "oh god, I love her so much, please make me be the one to make her happy".
Owen back to Seattle, People wondered what happen with his face, when April asked him, Owen just answer "none of your business", nobody dare to asked him anymore, until the next day Derek comes to hospital, he asked Owen, what happen with you face?", "none of your business Derek", "don't tell me you wasting your time fly to los angles while William in Washington, William must be the one responsible for that nasty bruises in your face, I told you before that you better step back, Cristina lot happier without you by her side, hope you learn your lesson now, just leave Cristina and her family alone Owen"
"yeah Derek, I learn my lesson, I hope we'll never have this conversation anymore"
Month just pass, Owen bury himself in ER and paper in his room, and that afternoon he in charge in ER, he saw, a child with bleed in his lips, come with beautiful blonde woman with blue eyes.
"Beth, what are you doing here?" Owen asked, "Owen" she surprised met her ex-fiancé "my student Julian fall from the swing, I think he need a suture".
After checking Julian, Owen asked nurses to do the suture, and in same time his parent comes, they thanked Beth for bring they son to hospital, Owen asked Beth to have lunch together.
Actually she quite surprise with his invitation, she remember last time they conversation didn't end well, and leave lot pain on her side, but it's more than six year ago, so she agreed, besides she want asked about his mother lily.
When they get lunch Beth give her condolence for lily, when they still in relationship Beth really close to his mother, even after Owen broke their engagement, Beth still visit her, she consider lily as her own mother because herself lost her mother when she in young age, she also tell him that she upset to him because didn't inform her, when lily passed away, Owen just can say apologize because at that time he really grief for his mother, Beth put her hand on his, "it's okay Owen, I understand your feeling, I also felt same way when my dad died, he also my only family left, same with your condition now".
Owen look into her blue eyes, she still same when last time they met, she still a beautiful woman with beautiful heart, she tell him that four years ago she moved to Washington with her ex-husband but they separated for six months now, since then she move back to Seattle teach in kindergarten, and coincidently they met again this afternoon, Owen try to reconnect with her one more time.
It's been two months they together, he can't deny that he happy has someone who take care of him, but his heart still full with Cristina, Beth hates hospital, so she barely visit him in hospital, so mostly is him who visit her in her apartment, he also still not comfortable to bring Beth to the fire house because that house like a sacred place for him and Cristina.
At one night after they make love, Beth lay at Owen chest, she asked him "are you still remember our dream when we were young that, if we get married we want to have three child, two daughter, we name Rachel and Sara, and one boy we named Blaine", Owen smiled "yeah, I still remember", while caress her hairs, "I love you Owen", he answered "yeah, me too", he kiss her lips then pull her to his embraces, Beth can felt his insincerity on his answer.
While in his room Owen recall their conversation last night, he know exactly direction of her topic last night, he still not sure about his feeling to her, but he know that, he can rely on Beth, Beth the only woman know him for long time, she also want to have child with him, and most of all his mother love her, picture how happy Cristina with William and Nathan, one more time comes to his mind, now is his turn to get his happiness.
That night he reserve a table in Beth favorite restaurant, Beth asked him, why suddenly they have dinner in her favorite restaurant, Owen just smile, he hold a ring box in his pocket nervously, it's will be the second times he purposes her, when he will pop the question "Beth.." suddenly her phone ring.
