Chapter 7: The Last Stand
AU: So sorry I haven't updated this story in a while, Been having problems irl lately. So forgive me but here is Chapter 7. I hope you all love it, and chapter 8 will come a lot sooner then this one did I hope. I did the story in a different format so tell me what you all think. I personally don't think it matters which way it is in but I did this chapter for Beatutifully Corrupted. So thank you for the reviews and feed back they have helped a lot, and to Mandarins I have heard great things of you and really would love more reviews on how the chapters are :) and don't worry Mandarins there will be plunty plunty more RyuuSaku moments to come!
Both Ryuu and Aoi got into fighting stances as they prepared for this epic battle to began. "You know Ryuu, your the only one of the 5 gods of hell to actually do work for one village in general. Doesn't that make you a trator to them. You know they will come soon to strike you down". Aoi said with a smile on his face.
"Giving up already I see Aoi? Well no matter, to answer your question. Yes I am working for Konoha. But all the 5 gods of hell work for one of the major nations. It's actually funny people gave us those names because our real cause is to create peace. True peace in the ninja world". Ryuu explained to everyones shock including Aoi.
"Now then let's began this Aoi, the faster I beat you the faster I can save my brother. Everyone go on ahead, far enough away and countine the mission". Ryuu said back to his comrades.
He then had to duck a rock that could have taken off his head.
"I thought I told you we are not leaving you!" Sakura yelled angrily.
"Alright, alright, fine. But I can't say your gonna like what you see here. But I need something from all of you. I need you all to create a barrier, and a strong one at that. All of you together should have more then enough power to contain the fighting. But if I have to use Kirin. All of you will have to run far away quickly."
Sasuke and Naruto moved as quickly as possible behind Aoi, while Sakura and Mitsuko stayed behind Ryuu. "Four Person Barrier Jutus". All four members yelled as they created the barrier Ryuu had mentioned.
"Not bad, not bad at all Ryuu, or is it Captain Ryuu now haha". Aoi said with a laugh.
"Funny, you have jokes Aoi. Well let's see how funny you are when I rip your vocial cords right out of your throut". Ryuu threatened and like that the battle was on.
With Ryuu's power only about half or a little more of what he is used to he knew he had to end this quick. They both moved like flashes of light, clashing against each other for what seemed like only one second. But to them it felt a lot longer as Aoi threw a punch, Ryuu grabed it then tried to sweep Aoi's feet only for Aoi to jump in the air and flip over Ryuu while throwing kunais. Ryuu deflected them with his own kunai, and now they were stairing each other down, locked in a stalmate. They both knew they needed to end this fight quickly. Ryuu for his brother and team but also because of his injury, as much as he hates to admit it. He knows it will give him problems if the fight goes on. Aoi for the fact that his masters told him to end the fight as quickly as possible and return back to them because they need him for another mission. But Aoi knew he couldn't afford to get distracted against one of the 5 gods of hell.
Now it was time to really get this battle going. "Earth Style: Great mudslide". Aoi said as he completed his hand signs and a huge wave of mud and earth rose up and started to come right at Ryuu.
"Rinnegan: Almighty Push". Ryuu spoke and the wall of mud and earth was thrown away by what must would say to be an invisible force.
"Lightning Style: Cloudes of the Divine One". Suddenly Cloudes started to form over head but did not attack Aoi at all. This seemed strange to him. He noted to watch those cloudes.
"So why don't you tell me what those little cloudes in the sky are gonna do to help you huh?" Aoi said intrested in what they might do but more worried.
"Actually I will show you. The full power of the Lightning God of Hell!" Ryuu yelled as the lightning came down directly on top of him in a glow of light. This stunned everyone including Aoi, as everyone thought they had just witnessed Ryuu kill himself. That is until the light started to fade, as it did though it looked as tho Ryuu had lightning coursing around him.
"Now then to show you a true power of mine! Lightning Style: Lightning armor of the gods!" Ryuu yelled and suddenly his eyes started to glow a golden color with blue still in them and in the middle of the eyes that could only be discribed as a golden Rinnegan. There became a blue marking in the middle that resembled a lightning strike. Then three blue tomos appeared around the symbol in the Rinnegan.
Then the real transformation started. As everyone was broken out of there stunned state of the now glowing eyes of Ryuu. They were now even more stunned at what was happening now. Ryuu's natural Uchiha black long hair has now turned pure white as winter snow. Next to change was his close. His normal attaire was now over taken as it started to glow, A golden chest plate appeared around his black shirt, the chest plate had a blue lightning strike symbol in the middle of it, then more golden armor appeared over his legs and feet. Then a long golden tench like coat appeared with a blue lightning strike in the middle and the kanji saying "lightning god of death".
Finally a large lightning strike appeared right next to Ryuu. As everyone shielded their eyes from the blinding light. They opened them to Ryuu holding a giant magnificent sword that just seemed to radiat power.
"Hello, my old friend. We have work to do". Ryuu said in the calmest voice anyone has ever heard.
Ryuu knew he couldn't stay in this form for long as it took a lot of power and with him already weakened. He knew he had to end this now.
"Aoi" Said man now listening to everyword Ryuu said. "You were a great opponent, making me have to resort to using this Jutus so early, I will give you this chance to surrender, to turn your life around. If you comply, with your intel and cooperation. I will talk to the Hokage about making you a Konoha ninja. Of course, even with your sentence reduced I still can not say you will not be punished. But what is better serving some time in Konoha whatever the punishment may be then becoming a ninja for Konoha and having a better life, or being beaten here and dying, because as much as I would love for this fight to continue and last forever. I can not dely my mission or my team any longer. This is your one chance Aoi". Ryuu stated as he raised his mighty sword at Aoi.
Aoi seemed to think about the choice he was given after everything he has done he could be forgiven, he could finally not have to run everyday watching out for hunter ninja. He could finally have a home again and have a family.
"I surrender to you Ryuu". Aoi said as he put his hands up.
"Good, but I didn't go into this form to end your life Aoi. That would have been a little over kill". At this Aoi looked at him and seemed worried and asked.
"Then why did you activate this power that as I can see is only draining you of power?" Aoi asked.
"Always the observent one Aoi". Ryuu then dropped to one knee and coughed up some blood. The only thing helping him stay up was his sword.
"Thanks, your always looking out for me". Ryuu said, the sword seemed to almost be communicating with Ryuu.
Ryuu hearing Mitsuko call his name, shot a ball of lighting at the ground to stop her from dropping the barrier.
"Don't move, i'm fine". Ryuu said.
"No your not, your over using your powers and you know how dangerous that is to you". Came Mitsuko's response.
"I'm fine right now. Just keep the barrier up. Hey Aoi". Said man looked up at Ryuu. "You may want to get over here and help me fight if you want to live". Ryuu said, Aoi was very confused about this. That is until he felt the earth start to move. Aoi imminenty moved next to Ryuu as he realized what was making the ground move. The Sound ninja who should be dead, started to twitch and move and get up almost in a zombie like state.
"What is this?" Aoi asked himself, completely scared and worried.
"It's the Reanimation Jutus. Probably a seal was put on them to activate the Jutus shortly after death". Ryuu said
"Don't let the barrier fall! That's an order! Anyone of them could slip by and any info that was gained can be used against use by Kabuto". Ryuu yelled to his team. "Aoi, I don't have a long time in this mode so I have one of two options. I could use Kirin. But if I do that I will have to create 4 clones to replace my team and you will all have to run far away. My other option is to fight in this mode and with my most prized possession. But the problem with both those is I know Kirin can take them all out but then if anything is left I will be unable to defend myself. The problem with my armor is once this mode goes out, being I wasn't 100% from the start. The most I will be able to do is fight off a few at a time. So I would have to kill almost all of them within that time". Ryuu stated.
"How much time do you have?" Aoi asked. Ryuu looked himself over.
"Maybe a minute or two". Ryuu said. Mitsuko watched on with her Sharingan. She could tell Ryuu was lying to make everyone have hope. He could maybe stay like that for 30 seconds to a minute if he didn't want to risk death. But she knew he would risk it to keep them all safe. Mitsuko didn't want to lose her bother nor did she want Sakura her best friend to lose the man she cared about so much. Mitsuko decided to speak up. "Use Kirin, Ryuu". Mitsuko said loud enough for her brother to hear. But with her head down. She knew either way he was risking death. Using Kirin was the safer way though. He wouldn't have to suffer then if it was the end for him.
"Aw, so you noticed then Mitsuko". She shook her head yes.
"Well then I can't keep this waiting otherwise my power will run out". Ryuu said. "Lightning Style: Lightning Clone Jutus" Ryuu said as 5 clones appeared not around him but outside the barrier.
"Now then all of you clones switch with each person. The four of you keep the barrier up the other create a barrier to protect me while I charge Kirin. All clones nodded and switched with his team. Sakura was yelling for Ryuu while Mitsuko helled her back, same with Sasuke surpisingly. Even more surpising was Naruto was holding Sasuke back.
"Ryuu how is the other clone going to get in. I mean we gotta fight and all so you can use Kirin". Aoi said.
"Easy". Ryuu said then Aoi appeared outside of the barrier seeing the clone on the inside. Aoi was stunned.
"What are you doing you dumbass! I was suppose to help you!" Aoi screamed angerly.
"You are going to help me. Take my team somewhere far and safe. You know this area well. Take them to somewhere they can rest and won't be seen". Ryuu said with a smile.
Aoi just nodded, he understood what Ryuu meant. As Aoi lead the team off, tears threatened to escape his eyes as he thought of what might happen to Ryuu. "You better not die on me Ryuu".
Once Ryuu could feel they were far enough away, his clone created a small barrier and Ryuu deactivated his most powerful mode. The only thing now with him is his very large sword. "Are you ready pal". Ryuu said to the sword. As the sword glew in response Ryuu nodded it was time to began.
Ryuu rushed threw hand signs as the clouds that were still lingering above seemed to grow more and more powerful and violent. The dead ground of Sound ninja charged Ryuu now realizing the only way out of the barrier was threw him. As Ryuu put both his hands to the sky he could feel the power coming in. Charging up for what maybe his final attack. The dead ninja hit is clones barrier with unbelievable force. It was hard for the clone to keep up the barrier at first but he kept pushing back. He would not let the boss down. Ryuu kept gaining more and more power. He knew he had to hurry but he needed to make sure he took everyone out. As he felt the power charge up he could tell the barrier his clone made would not last long. He saw cracks starting to form. Ryuu then felt it. He was ready.
With a swift hand sign, the clone knew he was ready. The clone actually shot the barrier forward pushing all the dead ninja back at least 20 feet. It was time, the clone despelled to give Ryuu as much chakura as possible. Ryuu grabed the large sword into both hands and put it straight up in the air. Now a lightning storm has started and the rain came down with no mercy. "Now let's finish this!". "LIGHTNING STYLE: LIGHTNING GOD KIRIN!". Ryuu yelled as the largest strike of lightning anyone has ever seen came down on the battle field destoying the barrier and anything else in the shrounding areawith a large explosion.
(Meanwhile with Aoi and the rest of the team)
They all felt the rain start to fall as Aoi spotted the cave he was leading them to. Mitsuko looked back as she heard the strange thunder rumble knowing what this meant. The Jutus was about to happen. As they entered the cave and moved to the back and sat down. Mitsuko stood.
"I am going to create a clone to watch outside". No one objected or said anything. Mitsuko created a clone and they both eyed each other the clone knowing it's orders. Sasuke started a fire while Naruto put a seal up hiding there chakura and Aoi put up a genjutus to make it look like there was no entrence to the cave.
They all sat there and waited for someone to say something. Just as Aoi was about to a large explosion happened in the distence. Everyone looked towards the entrence towards the sound, except Mitsuko she kept her head down where no one could see her face and smirked.
"So that was the famous Lightning God Kirin. He would have easily beaten me with a move like that". Aoi said in surpise and realization.
Sakura was visibly crying, Naruto looked away, Sasuke looked down letting his bangs hang in front of his face to not show his face.
"Y-Y-You s-said you *sob* w-would *sob* n-never leave me R-Ryuu". Sakura choked out as she was crying.
Sasuke went over to Mitsuko to make sure she was ok, only to long down and see her smirk. To say Sasuke was worried and confused was an understatment.
"Mitsuko why are you smirking like that? Our brother just died". Sasuke said.
Only for Mitsuko to look up with her smirk but instead of say something to Sasuke she looked at Sakura.
"You really do care about him huh?" Mitsuko asked/said to Sakura. Sakura just looked up from her crying to look Mitsuko in the eyes.
"Yes I do. I-I love him. But now he's gone". Sakura said going back to crying.
"Uhhhhh that baka always has a way of making the people who love him worry. What a baka". Mitsuko said which got Sakura's attention but before she could say anything, Naruto felt someone pass threw the barrier as they weren't paying attention.
"Your the baka little sis". Everyone turned to see who said that to see Ryuu bloody, with torn cloths and some burn marks. All in all he looked like shit.
"Oh yeah your right i'm the baka". Mitsuko said as she looked at Ryuu. "Baka, Baka, Baka, Baka, Baka". Mitsuko said in a taunting way towards Ryuu.
Ryuu barely holding him self up with the side of the wall was about to say something before he was tackled. He thought it was first Naruto or Sasuke gonna attack him for scaring them so much. But he then heard sobbing as he looked down and saw the bright pink hair. He had never seen Sakura move that fast before. Granted he hadn't been back for to long but still. Ryuu was not used to a crying Sakura, an angry one yeah, a happy one sure. But this was a totally different creature and one wrong move and he would become a root inspecter.
As Ryuu slowly moved his hands he hugged Sakura and started to rub her back saying he was alright and he was right he was. Aside from the chakra exhaustion, burns, cuts, and pain from his body telling him to stay down he was fine. But Sakura just kept crying.
"Saukra really i'm fine".
"Oh really?" Sakura said with tears in her eyes.
It was killing Ryuu to see her cry but that is until she noticed Sakura's hands glowing green and slowly moving up towards his neck.
"Uh oh". Ryuu said to himself.
Sakura's hands jumped up and grabed someone by the neck. "Ha got you! Now i'm gonna pound you for scaring me like that and then i'm gonna heal you and pound you harder harder for lying to me". Sakura said then looked down thinking she was holdiing Ryuu's neck only to relize she was choking Mitsuko under her.
"What the". Sakura said as she looked around relizing Ryuu switched with Mitsuko at the last moment. "Damn Uchiha and there blood connection". She then spotted Ryuu hiding behind Sasuke.
"I offer her as sacrifice first oh angry one. She's a baka". Ryuu said still hiding behind Sasuke.
But Sakura looked like animal ready to pounce on it's new victum. "~Hunny could you come here for a minute~ Come on I just wanna give you a kiss". Sakura said trying to look cute but still having that evil smile on her face.
"More like bite then kiss. Sorry I like my organs just where they are thank you very much". Ryuu said.
"Fine I know you don't have much chakra left and can't run very far Ryuu so just give up and I will make your beating less painful". Sakura said moving to get a new angel on Ryuu but he kept putting Sasuke in the way.
"Hey don't use me as your human shield. If anyone use Naruto or run". Sasuke said then moved and put Ryuu in front of Sakura.
She licked her lips then jumped. "Got you!" Sakura screamed but then relized there was no Ryuu under here.
Then a little cat ran out from between her arms and chin. As the cat ran for somewhere to hide, preferably out of Sakura's reach. Sasuke stepped in front of him and as he was about to run away the little male cat felt someone on his tail. Only lighty but enough to trap him. The little cat turned around and saw Mitsuko standing on his tail with a smile on her face. The cat looked pleadingly for a way out. But she just picked him up by the scruff of his neck. But instead of go still he fought for his life to get out. Mitsuko walked over to Sakura and gave her the cat to hold by the scruff of his neck.
"Here this is yours". Mitsuko said.
When Sakura looked the cat in the eyes as she held it he froze in place. She took in the little cats features.
He was Black all over with a mark that looked like a lightning strike over his left eye. But not blinding him.
"What the hell is this cat doing here and where is Ryuu-kun?" Sakura asked now getting even more angry if that was even possible.
"That is my baka brother". Mitsuko said while the cat looked like he was about to have a heart attack.
"What how? I don't feel his chakra at all". Sakura said.
"Exactly. That's because that transformation is used for missions where we need to get behind enemy lines. But for some reason only Ryuu can perform the transformation perfectly. But when he does he bocomes that cat, he can change his size to that of even a demon cat but for some reason he can't transform into anything else". Sasuke said explaining what Sakura was holding.
She immdently got a wicked smile on her face and held the cat up to her face "Oh really now. Naruto put up sound barriers I need to have some words with Ryuu in privite". Sakura said the smile not leaving her face.
Naruto listened not wanting to be the next victum. As Sakura walked more into the cave to have a 'word' with the cat like Ryuu Sasuke called out.
"Wait, I want to know Ryuu how you got away from Kirin. How are you still alive?"
"Oh I can tell you that one". Mitsuko said raising her hand. "Well it's kinda like what Ryuu did when he switched with me when trying to sacrifice me to Sakura. Remember when I made a clone to go watch outside. Well it also felt Ryuu's chakra and it sent out a enough chakra for Ryuu to feel it telling him to switch. So he switched with my clone to live. Sadly looks like I was a little to late making my clone or he wouldn't be as beat up as he is". Mitsuko said.
Sasuke looked at Ryuu and he just used his paw to scratch the back of his head with a little laugh. Then Sakura put Ryuu in cat form and her face to face. So Ryuu did the only thing he could think of to save himself. He meowed and licked Sakura's face trying to look as cute as possible.
"You know I think that was more for you then me, and normally it would have worked. But I anit letting you out this time. No, your mine for now and until I get everything I want you arnt getting out of my sight". Sakura said this time with that wicked smile but then with a wink and Ryuu now couldn't decide which he was more afraid of.
Now Sakura took Ryuu and and her stuff in the back of the cave where none of the team could hear or see the things Ryuu would have to experience.
"Well I guess we camp here for a while Ryuu needs to recover a lot not only chakra wise but physically too. Well since Ryuu is out right now. That means i'm in charge of the team for the time we are here if anything happens". Sasuke said while looking at the entrance to the cave.
"Soon brother, soon Ryuu and I will be the ones Rescuing you". Sasuke thought as he went and sat by the fire they had started.

I know this story seems rushed but don't worry there will be more then just this mission. More awesome moments, more RyuuSaku moments, more SasuMits moments, and for al the NaruHina lovers out there there with be more of that too. So stay tooned and read on to find out what happens next. I promise this next chapter will be out in a better time frame then this one... Hopefully. I have been having a lot of problems in my real life so I haven't had time to write but I am hopeing to pick up with more updates in a sooner time frame.
