Maya's POV

"So SHIELD is a secret government agency that keeps the world from knowing things about aliens and mutants?" Charles asked and him, Erik, and I walked through the halls of the FBI base.

"Kind of. We also take out assassins and other agencies that are trying to us out or harm the U.S." I explained to the two other mutants.

"But doesn't SHIELD have assassins?" Erik asked .

"Yes, but we only kill for good purposes." I tried to tell them.

"Interesting. Could I ask you one more question Agent Barton?" Charles asked looking deeply into my eyes.

"Call me Maya. And yes."

"Why can't I read yours or any of your friends minds'?"

"Well our time machine, the TARDIS, is protecting our minds so people can not compromise us."

"Oh, I see. Well I promise I will never harm your mind."

I smiled when I heard my name being called,

"Coming!" I turned to the guys, " I should probably go, thank you for time."

"Anytime, Maya." Charles said with a smile and shook my head, Erik just nodded and I went back into the TARDIS with everyone else.

"But I need to find out if Erik's gay or European!" Luna said with a frown.

"Maybe we'll come and visit them sometime." I said as I looked at the screen that showed the mutant staring up at the TARDIS as we started to go.

"Well, back to the SHIELD base in 2014!" The Doctor excitedly yelled as he pulled some lever s and pressed a red button and of we went into time and space.

Suddenly the TARDIS went crazy and we made a VERY rocky landing. I grabbed the knife that Clint got me for Christmas and walked to the TARDIS door.

I threw it open a walked straight into an abandoned factory. There were huge tanks filled with who knows what in them a conveyor belts that were obviously not moving.

The Doctor and everyone else stepped out behind me as we walked a little deeper into the factory.

The Doctor whipped out his sonic screwdriver and it made a weird noise and his face turned very scared and serious.

"We need to get out of here immediately there are HUGE amounts of radiation in here." He explained his voice shaking slightly with worry.

We ran towards the TARDIS as fast as we could, when the place exploded suddenly and everything went black.

I woke up wearily with a HORRIBLE headache, and my hands were in a ton of pain I got up and saw a sink and a mirror. I walked over and out my hand in the running water when I noticed it. My nails. They were long, black claws. I screamed in horror and looked in the mirror to see my eyes were not their normal green color. They were golden. Then I saw the tiger stripes I turned around and saw they ran all down my back and up my neck.

I screamed at the tops of my lungs when two men came in with guns in their hands.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?" I screamed, completely freaking out and not knowing what to do.

"Miss, we need you to calm down. We-" The man on the right began as he raised his gun slightly, but he was cut off by my pleading screams,

"Where's my brother?! Where are my friends?! Where am I?! TELL ME!"

The man raised his gun higher and shot at me. I blocked it with my nails. Anger and rage pumped through my veins and I screamed as I ran towards them and a fog of red clogged my vision as I slashed and ripped.

I stopped and looked down in horror as I saw the two men completely torn to bloody shreds. My eyes filled with tears as I ran out of the room. I knocked into a nurse who yelled at me but I ran. Faster than ever before. Everyone was so loud and the light was so bright.

"CLINT! TASHA!" I screamed as I ran through the halls blindly. I threw open every door I saw in a desperate search for my friends, refusing to give up the search.

Finally after the 14th door I threw open a door to see Charles and Erik with my brother.

"Help me." I cried as I crumbled to the ground as my head exploded in fiery pain. I screamed and I felt arms envelope around me, and then someone shouting my name suddenly for the second time today. Darkness filled my already tear blurred vision and I fell into a deep sleep .
